MORAVIAN’S ERIC WOODRUFF & GARY ZACK NAMED TO LANDMARK CONFERENCE
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Senior Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X HS) of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been honored the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week while junior Gary Zack (Canton, PA/Canton HS) has been named the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.

Woodruff, pictured at right, had a strong start to his 2011 outdoor season at the non-scoring Coach P. Open.  He won the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 10.98 seconds, and he ran the second leg of Moravian's 4x100-meter relay that placed second with an ECAC qualifying time of 42.67 seconds.

Zack, pictured at left, took second in the javelin at the non-scoring Coach P. Open with an NCAA Division III automatic and ECAC qualifying distance of 63.65 meters (208 feet, ten inches). He was also ninth in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.47 meters (136 feet, one inch).

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 15th and 16th when they host the Greyhound Invitational at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.  Action is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and at 10:00 a.m.
