MORAVIAN SOFTBALL RANKED 7TH IN EAST REGION IN FIRST NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKINGS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team is ranked seventh in the East Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released Wednesday. 

The Greyhounds are 28-4 overall and now 23-2 in-region, one of the main criteria’s for the ranking.  Messiah College is ranked first in the region and is followed by Rowan University, Ramapo College of New Jersey, Montclair State University, Lebanon Valley College and The College of New Jersey.  Susquehanna University rounds out the top eight in the regional poll. Moravian has split a doubleheader with The College of New Jersey and is scheduled to play doubleheaders against Ramapo and Susquehanna next week.

Moravian, which is ranked 18th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division Iii Top 25 and has an 8-0 mark in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to the field on Saturday, April 22nd in Landmark Conference doubleheader at The Catholic University of America beginning at 1:00 p.m.
