MORAVIAN BASEBALL REMAINS 7TH IN SECOND NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKINGS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College baseball team is ranked seventh for a second straight week in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released Thursday. 

The Greyhounds are 30-7 overall, a school record for wins, and now 29-7 in-region, one of the main criteria’s for the ranking.  Kean University is ranked first in the region and is followed by Rowan University, Alvernia University, The College of New Jersey, Keystone College and Ramapo College of New Jersey.  Frostburg State University and Rutgers-Newark round out the top nine in the regional poll. 

Moravian dropped a 9-2 decision to TCNJ on March 22nd.  The complete rankings can be seen at http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/baseball/d3/regional_rankings.

Moravian, which has a 17-1 mark in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to the field on Saturday, May 7th as the top seed in the 2011 Landmark Conference Championship Tournament at Gillespie Field.  The Greyhounds open the tournament at 12:30 p.m. against fourth seed Susquehanna University.
