MORAVIAN’S DANIEL CANCELLIERE NAMED TO D3FOOTBALL.COM ALL-SOUTH REGION SECOND TEAM

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Senior offensive lineman Daniel Cancelliere (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named to the 2010 D3football.com All-South Region Second Team announced Thursday.

Moravian finished the 2010 campaign with a 7-4 on the season and won the ECAC Division III Southeast Bowl Championship game with a 26-14 win at Wilkes University.  The Greyhounds, who were 1-3 at one point this season and completed the year with five straight wins, finished Centennial Conference play at 6-3, one game out of a three-way tie for the championship.

Cancelliere, who saw action at both left guard and center, helped the Moravian offense average 285.2 yards and 18.7 points per game this season.  Over the final seven weeks, Moravian averaged 329.4 yards and 25 points per contest while going 6-1 after a change at quarterback.  Cancelliere was a three-year starter for the Greyhounds and served as one of the team captains this season.
