THREE MORAVIAN MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Three members of the Moravian College men’s basketball team are ranked in the first NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Statistics Ranking of the 2010-11 season through games of December 12th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in one team category.

Sophomore center Blake English (Sussex, NJ/Vernon Township HS) is 22nd in the nation in blocked shots per game with an average of 2.5.  English, pictured at right, has blocked 20 shots in eight games this year.

Sophomore guard D.J. Strayhorn (Swiftwater, PA/Pocono Mountain East HS), pictured at left, is tied for 84th in the nation in assists per contest at 4.5 with 36 assists in his first season with the Greyhounds.

Senior forward Chris Cullen (East Islip, NY/East Islip HS), pictured at right, is tied for 99th in rebounds per game with an average of 8.4 after pulling down 67 rebounds in Moravian’s first eight contests.

The Greyhounds are currently 44th in the nation in steals per game with an average of 10.4 per contest as the squad has 83 steals this season.

Moravian is 3-5 overall and will return to action on Sunday, January 2nd when it hosts the 33rd Annual Greyhound Starters Classic in Johnston Hall with the Greyhounds playing Wentworth Institute of Technology at 5:30 p.m.
