MORAVIAN ANNOUNCES ANNUAL “TAKE A KID TO THE GAME” DAY PRESENTED TO THE LEHIGH VALLEY
Come support the Greyhounds at their basketball doubleheader on January 9th

BETHLEHEM, PA – Moravian College will host its annual NCAA® Basketball Take A Kid to the Game® day on Sunday, January 9, 2011, when the Greyhounds host Drew University with the men’s game tipping off at 2:00 p.m. and the women’s contest to follow at 4:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.

Area youth 14 and under are invited to attend this special event and receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket. Moravian will have giveaways and on-court promotions for the kids.  Pocono Greyhound Adoption will have a meet-and-greet petting area with Moravian mascot Kiowa.  Children will also have the opportunity to meet Amos & Amy, the Moravian College Greyhounds, and dance with them at halftime.  Donations will be accepted and concessions profits will be donated to Pocono Greyhound Adoption.

Take a Kid to the Game Day, in its 16th year, is a program sponsored by the NCAA and it aims at increasing support of local college teams by getting families to come watch teams play.  Moravian, which is participating in the program for the eight straight year, is hosting one of the 700 games this season affiliated with Take a Kid to the Game.  The program is aimed at allowing kids to experience intercollegiate athletics and a game-day atmosphere.
