MORAVIAN’S ALEXANDRA BLAIR NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Junior forward Alexandra Blair (Hellertown, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second straight week after her performance last week.

Blair helped Moravian to a 2-1 mark last week including the first two wins of the season in Landmark Conference action for the Greyhounds.  Blair averaged 12.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, and she was named to the All-Tournament Team in the 10th Annual Starters Moravian Winter Classic as Moravian fell to William Paterson University, which received votes nationally last week, 71-63, in the championship game.  Blair was 16-for-31 from the field (51.6 percent) and six-for-eight at the foul line during the week to go along with ten blocked shots, three assists and three steals while averaging just 23.3 minutes per game.

Moravian, which is 7-6 overall and 2-1 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Friday, January 14th in a Landmark Conference game versus Susquehanna University tipping off in Johnston Hall at 7:30 p.m.
