TWO MORAVIAN MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Two student-athletes from the Moravian College men’s basketball team are ranked in the fifth NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Statistics Ranking of the 2010-11 season through games of January 23rd.

Sophomore guard D.J. Strayhorn (Swiftwater, PA/Pocono Mountain East HS) is 33rd in the nation in assists per contest at 5.2 with 94 assists in his first season with the Greyhounds, and Strayhorn, pictured at right, is 61st in free throw percentage at 84.9 percent, making 62-of-73 free throw attempts this winter.

Sophomore center Blake English (Sussex, NJ/Vernon Township HS) is 31st in the nation in blocked shots per game with an average of 2.3.  English, pictured at left, has blocked 36 shots this year despite missing two game due to an injury.

Moravian is 9-9 overall and 3-4 in Landmark Conference action, and the Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, January 28th in a Landmark Conference game at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey with tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
