THREE GREYHOUNDS REACH MILESTONES
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Seniors Jessie Coughlin (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Catholic HS) from
the Moravian College womens basketball team and Matt Getter (Broomall/Marple Newtown
HS) and Jason Moran (Scranton/West Scranton HS) of the mens hoop squad
have all reached milestones in their careers this week.
Coughlin grabbed three steals in a 56-50 victory over Albright College on Tuesday to give
her 302 steals in her career, fourth in school history. Coughlin, who has also scored 1,059
points (eighth all-time) and dished out 325 assists (second all-time), joined Sue Zimmerman 95 as
the only two players in school history to have 1,000 points, 300 assists and 300 steals
in a career. Coughlin has six games left in her career and needs just three more steals
to move into second all-time and 53 points to finished her career seventh in scoring.
Getter connected on five three-pointers in a 66-59 loss to Albright on Wednesday to give
him 132 three-pointers in his career, a new school record at Moravian. Getter had just
ten three-pointers after his sophomore season but hit a school record 62 threes last winter
as a junior. He has 60 three-pointers with five games left this season.
With a 14-point performance against Albright, Moran became just the fifth player in Moravian
history to score 1,400 points in a career. He currently has 1,413 points, which is fourth
all-time. Moran is also third in school history with 733 rebounds with five games remaining.
