WALKER WINS 250TH GAME AT MORAVIAN

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Moravian College men’s basketball coach Jim Walker, who is in his 18th season at the school, won his 250th game at the helm of the Greyhounds in an 89-72 victory over Elizabethtown College last Saturday.

Walker has a 250-196 record at the Bethlehem school.

Moravian made the game an interesting win for Walker as the ‘Hounds led by 16 points early in the second half and allowed Elizabethtown to take a 56-55 lead with 11 and a half minutes left in the game. Behind a school record nine three-pointers from senior Matt Getter (Broomall/Marple Newtown HS), the Greyhounds responded with a 33-16 run to end the game.

Walker, a 1965 graduate for Gettysburg College, has a career coaching record of 265-209 in 19 seasons.
