She allowed just two walks while improving to 9-2 on the season. Hennessy struck out eight batters in the win to raise her season total to 105 in just 85 innings. Hennessy received all the offense she would need in the top of the third inning when sophomore catcher Danielle Carrione (Bloomfield, NJ/Mt. St. Dominic HS) hit her first collegiate home run, a two-run shot scoring senior shortstop Heather Bortz (Allentown, PA/Parkland HS). The Greyhounds scored a single run in the top of the fourth inning on a solo home run by junior designated player Richelle McWilliams (Riegelsville, PA/Easton HS), her fourth round-tripper of the season. Moravian added three runs in the top of the fifth inning on an RBI single by freshman second baseman Beth Paly (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall HS) to score sophomore outfielder LeeAnna Roberts (Meshoppen, PA/Elk Lake HS), and a two-RBI double by sophomore first baseman Lauren Homa (Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks West HS) that scored Paly and Carrione. McWilliams has moved into second in school history with ten career home runs. The Colonels scored four unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull Wilkes within a run but the Greyhounds were able to get the final out for the victory. Moravian had 14 hits in the game with Bortz, Paly, Santry and sophomore outfielder Justina Black (Orefield, PA/Parkland HS) each collecting two hits.
