Moravian swept
a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader from Widener
University, 6-0 & 7-0, M at Blue
& Grey Field.In the first game, Moravian
sophomore pitcher Maria DeBonis (Nazareth, PA/Notre
Dame HS) improved to 8-2 in the circle with her sixth shutout of the
season, allowing just two hits and six walks while striking out ten batters. DeBonis would get all of the offense
she needed in the bottom of the third inning when the Greyhounds scored twice.
Sophomore outfielder Erica Klepeisz (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth HS) had an RBI double while junior shortstop Beth Paly (Whitehall,
PA/Whitehall
HS) hit an RBI triple. Moravian added four runs in the bottom of the sixth
inning when DeBonis led off the inning
with her first career home run, a solo shot to left centerfield. Sophomore
second baseman Katie Agnew (Doylestown, PA/Lansdale Catholic HS) added a two-RBI double in the
inning while Klepeisz had another
RBI double. Moravian had 12 hits in the game with Paly going three-for-four and Agnew,
Klepeisz, DeBonis and sophomore catcher Deanna
Mangieri (Pleasantville, NY/Byram Hills HS) each
collecting two hits.
In the second game, DeBonis
tossed her second shutout of the doubleheader and seventh of the season,
allowing four hits and three runs while striking out eight batters. DeBonis has a shutout streak of 24
innings. Moravian would give DeBonis
all of the offense she needed in the third inning, when the Greyhounds scored
five times. Paly drove in the first
run with an RBI single. DeBonis and Mangieri followed with RBI singles
before senior designated player Danielle
Carrione (Bloomfield,
NJ/Mt. St.
Dominic HS) hit a two-RBI single. Moravian extended its lead
to 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning on another RBI single by Paly, and the Greyhounds finished the
scoring in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI double by senior outfielder
Lauren Homa (Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks
West HS). Moravian had 13 hits in the game with Paly, DeBonis, Carrione and
sophomore first baseman Sheri Bieniek (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Regional HS) each collecting
two hits.
The Greyhounds swept their third straight doubleheader,
blanking Albright
College, 2-0 and 2-0, in
a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader at Blue & Grey Field. The
Greyhounds, ranked seventh in the nation, have now won seven straight games,
all by shutout, a school record, and has not allowed a run in 45 innings since
allowing 12 runs in the first game of a doubleheader at DeSales University
on April 3rd. The win was also Moravian's 20th of the season, the 14th
consecutive year the Greyhounds have won at least 20 games. In the first game, sophomore pitcher Kristie Pellicani (Sparta,
NJ/Sparta
HS) tossed her fifth shutout of the season to improve to 10-2 in the
circle. Pellicani allowed just one
hit and one walk while striking out six batters. The Greyhounds scored both of
their runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Senior outfielder Justina Black (Orefield,
PA/Parkland HS) led off the inning with
her second double of the game, and freshman Chrissy McGlinn (Lansdale,
PA/Gwynedd Mercy HS) came in
to pinch run. Junior third baseman Kelly
Santry (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland HS) would reach on an error that
allowed McGlinn to score from second
base. Santry eventually crossed the
plate on an RBI sacrifice fly by sophomore shortstop Jordan Oplinger (Allentown, PA/Parkland HS).
Moravian had eight hits in the game with Black
and Santry each collecting two hits.
In the second contest, DeBonis extended her own scoreless streak to 31 innings in the
shutout of Albright, her eighth shutout of the year. DeBonis allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out a
career high 13 batters to improve to 10-2 in the circle this spring. Moravian
gave DeBonis all the offense she
needed with two runs in the bottom of the second inning. DeBonis led off the inning with a double and moved to third on a
fly ball by Black. Santry followed with an RBI single to
score DeBonis. Santry would come all the way around to score on an RBI single by
sophomore second baseman Katie Agnew (Doylestown, PA/Lansdale Catholic HS). Moravian had seven hits in the
game by seven different players.

The Moravian College women’s tennis team, which was 12-1 in the
fall, won the Commonwealth Conference Championship and earned an automatic
berth to the 2007 NCAA Division III Championships, will begin the spring
portion of its schedule on Friday, April 20th in a non-conference
match at Wilkes University beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Moravian dropped a 15-5 non-conference decision to rival Muhlenberg College at Gillespie Field. Muhlenberg
jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Mules would score
four times in the top of the second inning to extend their lead to 5-0.
Muhlenberg pushed to more runs across the plate in the top of the third inning
to build a 7-0 lead. Moravian scored its first run of the game in the bottom of
the fourth inning on an RBI sacrifice fly by sophomore first baseman Christopher Rue (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel HS)
after a one-out triple by freshman third baseman David Lengyel (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom HS).
The Greyhounds scored the final four runs of the game in the bottom of the
eighth inning. Sophomore pinch hitter Thomas Czarnecki (Columbia, NJ/North Warren HS) had an RBI ground out before RBI
singles by senior designated hitter Josh
Hunter (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton
HS) and junior outfielder Josh Baltz
(Easton, PA/Easton HS).
Moravian final run of the game scored on a throwing error on Baltz's single.
Moravian had eight hits in the game with Baltz
going-three-for-three and Hunter
going two-for-four. Freshman Ryan
Cummings (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East HS) dropped to 2-3 on the mound
for Moravian, allowing seven runs, six of them earned, one eight hits and two
walks with two strikeouts in three innings of action. Freshman Joe Melchionna
(Marlboro, NJ/St. John Vianney HS) tossed three
innings for the Greyhounds, allowing just one run on four hits with two strikeouts.
Freshman Philip Spence (Lafayette,
NJ/Newton HS) gave up four runs, three of them earned on three hits and a
walk in one inning of action while junior Matthew
Kosensky (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) allowed
three runs on three hits and a walk in one inning. Sophomore Thomas Murray (Staten
Island, NY/Moore Catholic HS) pitched the final
inning for the Greyhounds, allowing just one hit.
The Greyhounds finished off a four-game home stand with a
3-1 loss to Lebanon
Valley College
in Commonwealth Conference action at Gillespie Field. The Flying Dutchmen took
a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning and Lebanon Valley
added a run in the top of the fourth inning. The Flying Dutchmen extended their
lead to 3-0 in the top of the fifth inning. Moravian would get on the
scoreboard in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Junior first baseman Matthew
McCarthy (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) singled to lead off
the inning and junior second baseman Brett
Stout (Easton, PA/Easton HS) followed with a walk. Junior Brandon Cohn (Newtown
Square, PA/The Shipley School) came on to pinch run for McCarthy, and Cohn moved to third on a failed pickoff attempt by the catcher.
Junior designated hitter John Bisco (Easton,
PA/Notre Dame HS) hit an RBI
ground out to score Cohn. The
Greyhounds would get the tying run on base in the bottom of the ninth when
senior catcher Colin Welles (Belvidere, NJ/Belvidere HS) hit a one-out double and Rue was hit by a pitch, but Lebanon Valley was able to end Moravian's
attempted rally. The Greyhounds had just six hits in the game. Junior pitcher Trevor Lawrence (Lansford, PA/Marian
Catholic HS) went the distance on the mound for Moravian, allowing three
runs on ten hits and a walk while striking out three batters to fall to 2-3 on
the season.
Moravian was swept in a Commonwealth Conference

Valley, 8-3 and 7-2. In the first contest, the Greyhounds jumped
out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Senior shortstop Pete Moore (Bogota,
NJ/Bogota
HS) led off the inning with a solo home run, his fifth of the season and
11th of his career. Welles doubled
with one out and scored on an RBI double by sophomore McCarthy. McCarthy would
cross the plate on an RBI single by sophomore third baseman Kevin Gambrino
(Brick, NJ/Monsignor Donovan HS). The Flying Dutchmen would pull within a
run in the bottom half of the inning, and Lebanon Valley
tied the contest at 3-3 in the bottom of the third inning. The Flying Dutchmen
would push five runs across the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning to seal
the victory. Junior Matthew Swartz (Dunmore, PA/Dunmore
HS) started on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk in 3
2/3 innings. Freshman Andrew DelRossi (Medford,
NJ/Bishop Eustace HS) took
the loss for the Greyhounds, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks in
1 2/3 innings. Freshman Richard Schultz
(Drexel Hill, PA/The Haverford
School) allowed all
three batters his faced to get hits, and he allowed two runs. Freshman Zachary Andes (Moscow,
PA/North Pocono
HS) finished off the final 2/3 of an inning. Lebanon
Valley jumped out to a
1-0 lead in the second game in the bottom of the second inning, and the Flying
Dutchmen made the score 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning. Lebanon Valley tacked on another run in the
bottom of the fourth inning for a 3-0 lead. The Flying Dutchmen doubled their
lead to 6-0 with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, and Lebanon Valley extended its lead to 7-0 in the
bottom of the sixth inning. The Greyhounds would score two runs in the top of
the seventh inning. Freshman catcher Brad
Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) led of the inning with a walk, and Andes followed
with a pinch hit single. Freshman second baseman Michael Zubia (Bethlehem,
PA/Bethlehem
Catholic HS) would drive in both Bodine
and Andes
with a two-RBI double, his second double of the game. Moravian had five hits in
the contest including Zubia's
doubles. Moravian freshman Christopher
Morrison (Middlesex, NJ/Immaculata HS) fell to 2-3 on the season, allowing
six runs, just one of them earned, on six hits and a walk with one strikeout in
4 2/3 innings. Freshman Brandon Palmsiano (Mountainhome, PA/St. Pius X HS) finished off
the game, allowing a run on a hit in 1 1/3 innings.

Moravian team fell to Widener University,
13-3, in a Middle Atlantic Conference match at Rocco Calvo Field. The Pride
scored the first nine goals of the match with leads of 2-0 after one quarter,
4-0 at halftime and 9-0 after 45 minutes. Moravian scored the first two goals
of the fourth quarter to break up the shutout bid by Widener. The Pride had a
53-10 advantage in shots, a 44-22 edge in ground balls and won 13 of 19 face-offs
in the contest. Sophomore attack Jason Tosches (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South HS)
scored the Greyhounds' first goal on a man-up opportunity, and senior attack Daniel Larson (Dover, DE/Dover HS) and sophomore attack Keith Danner (Laurys
Station, PA/Parkland HS) also scored. Senior midfielder T.J. Hirsch (Putnum Valley, NY/Walter Panas HS) contributed two
assists, five ground balls and won five of 17 face-offs for Moravian. Sophomore
goalie Benjamin Larson (Dover,
DE/Dover
HS) made a career high 21 saves in the match for the Greyhounds.
The Greyhounds rallied from a two-goal deficit early in
the fourth quarter to earn their second Middle Atlantic Conference win of the
season, defeating King's College, 7-6, at Rocco Calvo Field. Moravian led 2-1
after the first quarter; however, the Monarchs scored the only two goals in the
second 15 minutes to go to halftime with a 3-2 lead. The contest was tied at
4-4 after three quarters, but King's netted a pair of goals in the first 2:40
of the fourth quarter for a 6-4 advantage. Moravian would score at the 7:41 and
6:53 marks of the fourth to tie the match. Tosches (took a pass from Hirsch (and
put the winning goal in the back of the cage with 1:10 remaining in the
contest. Moravian had a 29-26 advantage in shots, a 48-43 edge in ground balls
and won 11 of 16 face-offs in the contest. Daniel
Larson led the Greyhounds with two goals while Tosches, sophomore attack Christopher Danni (Macungie,
PA/Emmaus HS) and freshmen midfielders Kevin Smart (Drexel Hill,
PA/Archbishop Carroll HS), Cruz Sierra (Voorhees,
NJ/Eastern Regional HS) and Dylan Maher (Fairfield,
CT/Fairfield
Ludowe HS) each found the back of the net once. Danner added an assist while Hirsch led Moravian with 12 ground
balls and won ten of 15 face-offs. Junior defender David Poppe (Simsbury,
CT/Simsbury
HS) had three ground balls in the match to go over 100 for his career. Benjamin Larson (made 13 saves for the
Greyhounds, and he had nine ground balls to go over 100 for his career as well.

Moravian fell to The University of Scranton, 18-13, in a
Middle Atlantic Conference match on the HUB Quad. The Royals scored an early
1-0 lead only to see the Greyhounds take a 2-1 lead in the fourth minute of the
contest. However, Scranton
scored ten of the next 11 goals to head to halftime with an 11-5 lead. Moravian
would out score Scranton
in the second half, 8-7. The Royals had a 30-27 advantage in shots, an 18-9
edge in ground balls and a 14-13 edge in draw controls in the match. Senior
attack Lindsey Lustrino (Spring Lake,
NJ/Manasquan HS) led the Greyhounds with six goals and an assist to raise
her school record totals to 139 goals and 153 points in her career. The assist
was the 14th of Lustrino's
career, which is now the school record by itself. Junior midfielder Erica Spatz
(Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken HS) and freshman midfielder Paige Warbrick (Souderton, PA/Souderton Area
HS) each found the back of the cage once while junior midfielder Robyn Klem
(Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), freshman midfielder Lynda Kauffman (Boothwyn, PA/Chichester HS) and sophomore attack Georgia Castellano (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry
Hill West HS) each scored one goal. Lustrino
led Moravian with three ground balls while Lustrino
and Spatz
each had four draw controls. Freshman goalie Katie Wise (Ardsley,
PA/Abington HS) had 13 saves
for the Greyhounds.
The Greyhounds dropped an 18-6 decision at 16th-ranked Lycoming College in Middle Atlantic Conference
action. The Warriors scored the first five goals of the match and led 12-4 at
halftime. Lycoming had a 33-24 advantage in shots and an 18-8 edge in draw
controls while Moravian had a 33-31 edge in ground balls. Lustrino led the Greyhounds with two goals and two assists to raise
her school record career totals to 141 goals, 16 assists and 157 points. Spatz added two goals for Moravian to go
with a team high six ground balls while Warbrick and Klem each found the back of the cage once. Klem also had
five ground balls and caused three turnovers. Wise had seven saves for Moravian.

The Greyhounds won their second straight match, defeating
the University of
Scranton, 8-1, in a
non-conference contest between future Landmark Conference foes. Moravian led
2-1 after the doubles action with wins by the teams of freshman Ian Box (Charlestown, MA/The Rivers School)
and senior Neil Caniga
(Hampton, NJ/Voorhees HS)and sophomore Lee
Gustin (Allentown, PA/Dieruff HS) and senior Scott Shelbo (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom HS).
The Greyhounds swept the singles action with straight sets wins by Box, Caniga, Shelbo and sophomores Keith Feinman (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield HS) and Jeremiah Reinhart (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley
HS). Gustin
needed three sets, including a pro-set to win his singles match.
Moravian earned its first team postseason berth since
2002 with a 5-4 victory over Lebanon
Valley College
in Commonwealth Conference action at Hoffman Courts. The win extends the
Greyhounds' winning streak to three straight and gives the program a berth in
the Commonwealth Conference Tournament that begins on April 21st at the highest
seed. Moravian trailed 2-1 after doubles action with just the team Box and Caniga earning a win at first
doubles. The Greyhounds would win the top four singles spots in straight sets
with victories by Box, Caniga, Shelbo and Feinman to earn the win.
In a battle for the third seed in the upcoming
Commonwealth Conference Tournament, the Moravian
College men’s tennis team came up on
the short side of the score, falling to Juniata College,
6-3, in a Commonwealth Conference match at Hoffman Courts. The loss also snapped a three-game winning
streak for Moravian, and also means the Greyhounds will be the fourth seed in
the Commonwealth Conference Team Tournament at Messiah College
on April 21st & 22nd.
Moravian will play the top seeded Falcons in the first round. The
Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after doubles action with a win by the team of Box and Caniga. Box and Caniga
would win their singles matches to give Moravian a brief 3-2 lead; however, the
Eagles won the final four singles contests for the win. Caniga's singles win was the 43rd
of his career, which ranked third in school history, and he has also won 33
career doubles matches, which ranks second all-time at Moravian.

The Greyhounds finished seventh of 15 schools at the
Elizabethtown College Spring Blue Jay Classic played on the East Course of the
Hershey Country Club. Moravian had a team score of 320 while Susquehanna University
won with team total of 301. Moravian senior Brian Bergstol (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor
HS) led the squad with a round of 75, which tied for seventh of the 84
golfers on the par 71 course. Junior Eric
Whitman (Blairstown, NJ/Notre Dame East Stroudsburg {PA} HS) was
tied for tenth with an 18-hole total of 76. Freshman Steve Labiak (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS)
finished in a tie for 39th with a round of 82 while senior Thad Miller (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) carded an 87 to tie for 63rd.
Junior Brian Scofield (Washington,
NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) rounded out the Moravian golfers with a round
of 92, which was 79th.

Junior Ozzie Brown
(Plymouth
Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh HS) won the
decathlon orange at the Bucknell University Bison
Outdoor Classic with a stadium record of 6,797 points. Brown's total is also a Moravian record and automatically qualifies
him for the NCAA Division III National Championships and is the highest point
total in NCAA Division III so far this season. Brown, who was competing in the decathlon for the first time in his
collegiate career, broke the school mark set by Greg O'Neil back in 1993 by 233
points. Brown started the second day
of competition with a first place finish in the 110-meter high hurdles in a
time of 14.88 seconds to earn 864 points. Brown
was then second in the discus with a toss of 29.73 meters (97 feet, six inches)
to garner 459 points, second in the pole vault clearing 4.05 meters (13 feet, 3
1/2 inches) to earn 631 points, second in the javelin with a toss of 44.63
meters (146 feet, five inches) to earn 510 points and fifth in the 1,500-meter
run in 5:09.79 to earn 505 points. Brown was in first place after the
first day of competition with 3,828 points. Brown was first in the 100-meter dash in 10.98 seconds to earn 865
points, first in the long jump at 7.22 meters (23 feet, 8 1/4 inches), a
distance that provisionally qualifies for the NCAA Division III National
Championships, to earn 866 points, first in the shot put at 11.26 meters (36
feet, 11 1/2 inches) to garner 562, points, second in the high jump at 1.89
meters (six feet, 2 1/4 inches) to earn 705 points and first in the 400-meter
dash in a time of 49.67 seconds to earn 830 points.
Moravian competed at The College of New Jersey
Invitational, placing seventh of 16 teams with 44 points. The host Lions placed
first with 88 points. The Greyhounds had one individual winner with sophomore Blair Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills
Regional HS) capturing the shot put with a toss of 14.67 meters (48 feet, 1
3/4 inches). Other top five finishers for Moravian included junior Allan Fatzinger (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua
HS) finishing second in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.20 meters
(13 feet, 9 1/4 inches), sophomore Robert
Shaffer (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville HS) taking second in the 100-meter dash
in a school record time of 10.87 seconds, senior Michael Ossont (Archbald, PA/Valley View HS)
placing third in the javelin throw with a toss of 50.13 meters (164 feet, six
inches), sophomore Justin Starcher (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack HS) fourth in

East HS) placed 46th in a time o 2:18.66.
Freshman Michael Blenk (Inwood, NY/Lawrence HS) finished sixth in the
long jump with a leap of 6.34 meters (20 feet, 9 3/4 inches), and he was tenth
in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.75 meters (five feet, 8 3/4 inches). Maginnis was seventh in the hammer
throw with a distance of 35.34 meters (115 feet, 11 1/2 inches) while freshman Ronald Draina
(Metuchen, NJ/Metuchen HS) took 12th in the hammer throw with a toss of
27.56 meters (90 feet, 5 1/4 inches).

Freshman Anna Heim
(Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS) competed in the heptathlon at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic. Heim finished fifth in the heptathlon
blue with 3,791 points, which breaks the Moravian record set by Nicole Sabaliauskas set back in 2003 by 527 points. Heim, the highest finishing NCAA
Division III competitor in the heptathlon, started the second day of
competition with a third place finish in the long jump with a leap of 4.87
meters (15 feet, 11 3/4 inches) for 524 points. She was then first in the
javelin with a toss of 27.92 meters (91 feet, seven inches) for 437 points and
fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:32.27 for 665 points. Heim
started the competition with a ninth place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in
17.52 seconds to earn 539 points, and she was tied for ninth in the high jump,
clearing 1.39 meters (four feet, 6 3/4 inches) for 502 points. Heim was second in the shot put with a
toss of 8.37 meters (27 feet, 5 1/2 inches) to garner 423 points, and she
finished the first day of competition with a second place finish in the
200-meter dash in 27.13 seconds to earn 701 points.
Moravian placed 3rd of 16 schools at The College of New
Jersey Invitational with 70 points. Ithaca
College placed first with
115 points. The Greyhounds had a pair of individual winners with freshman Dana Haslett (Sellersville,
PA/Pennridge HS) capturing the 200-meter
dash in 25.37 seconds and freshman Rebeka Woolley (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Boro HS) winning the javelin throw
with a toss of 36.55 meters (119 feet, 11 1/5 inches). Moravian had nine other
individuals finish in the top five along with the 4x100-meter relay team of Haslett, freshman Rachel Beck (Churchville, PA/Council Rock South HS) and seniors Erin Recker (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua HS)
and Amy Reehil
(Roselle, NJ/Roselle Catholic HS), which placed third in a school record
and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 48.16 seconds.
Freshman Jessica Posimo (Philadelphia, PA/St. Basil Academy HS) was the
runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.65 seconds while Reehil placed fourth
400-meter hurdles in 1:07.95. Sophomore Naomie Kachel (Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin HS) was third in the 3,000-meter
steeplechase in 13:25.64 while senior Jennifer
Connolly (Weare, NH/Manchester
West HS) placed fourth in 13:33.24. Sophomore Thea Kennerknecht (Central Valley,
NY/Monroe-Woodbury HS) tied for third in the pole vault, clearing 2.90
meters (nine feet, 6 1/4 inches). Freshman Rachel
Riggs (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg HS) took second in the triple jump with a
leap of 10.20 meters (33 feet, 5 3/4 inches) while freshman Queenie Tang (Bedminster, NJ/Chatham HS) placed fourth at 9.70 meters (31
feet, ten inches). Senior Kathleen McCarron (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth HS) was fifth in the
long jump with a leap of 4.82 meters (15 feet, 9 3/4 inches) while freshman Aliina Ross (Paoli, PA/Conestoga HS) was
fourth in the javelin with a toss of 31.22 meters (102 feet, 5 1/2 inches).
Haslett placed
sixth in the 100-meter dash in 12.35 seconds after qualifying eighth in an NCAA
Division III provisional qualifying time of 12.31 seconds. Recker placed eighth in the race in 12.36 seconds, and she
qualified sixth in 12.27 seconds, which is also an NCAA Division III
provisional qualifying time. Reehil took 13th in the 100-meter dash preliminaries in
12.66 seconds while Beck was 17th in
13.04 seconds, senior Suzanne Tamlyn (Wappingers Falls,
NY/Wallkill HS) placed 18th in 13.08 seconds and McCarron was 22nd in 13.48
seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Recker
finished sixth in 26.27 seconds while Tamlyn was 15th in 27.35 seconds, freshman Kaitlyn Boyer (Oley, PA/Oley Valley HS) was
17th at 27.58 seconds, Beck placed
18th in 27.71 seconds, McCarron
finished 24th in 28.57 seconds and freshman Cassidy Thomas (Arnold, MD/Broadneck HS) took
30th in 29.52 seconds. Boyer also ran
in the 400-meter dash, placing tenth in 1:02.89.
Junior Katie Pulizzano (Allentown, PA/William Allen HS) placed 19th in the 1,500-meter
run in a time of 5:24.41 while sophomore Kelly
Williams (Tafton, PA/Wallenpaupack
HS) was 20th in 5:26.01. Freshman Katelyn Chando (Coopersburg,
PA/Southern Lehigh
HS) finished 11th in the 400-metr hurdles in 1:12.64 while Kachel placed
16th in 1:18.21.
Posimo
also placed sixth in the high jump at 1.46 meters (four feet, 9 1/2 inches),
and she was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 4.80 meters (15 feet, nine
inches). Thomas was ninth in the
long jump with a distance of 4.60 meters (15 feet, 1 1/4 inches) while Riggs placed 11th in 4.50 meters (14
feet, 9 1/4 inches). Freshman Flora
Robertson (Hawley, PA/East Stroudsburg North HS) took 14th in the hammer
throw with a toss of 25.63 meters (84 feet, 1 1/4 inches) and 15th in the
discus with a distance of 27.68 meters (90 feet, ten inches).
