Fifth ranked Moravian swept its fourth straight
doubleheader and clinched a berth in the upcoming Commonwealth Conference
Tournament by defeating Lebanon
Valley College,
4-1 and 4-0. Moravian qualified for the
postseason for the 13th straight year with the victories. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 2-0 lead in
the top of the fourth inning on a two-out, two-run home run by sophomore
designated player Maria DeBonis (Nazareth, PA/Notre
Dame HS). Sophomore first baseman Sheri
Bieniek (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Regional HS) drew a walk just
before DeBonis connected on her
second homer of the season. Moravian
extended its lead to 4-0 in the top of the sixth inning on a two-RBI double by
junior third baseman Kelly Santry
(Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland HS) which scored Bieniek and junior second baseman Beth Paly (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall HS), who had reached on an error
to lead off the inning. Moravian had six hits with two by Santry. Lebanon Valley
snapped Moravian's scoreless inning streak at 50 with a run in the bottom of
the sixth inning, the first run the Greyhounds' had allowed since losing to DeSales University, 12-11 in ten innings on
April 3rd. Sophomore Kristie Pellicani (Sparta, NJ/Sparta HS)
improved to 11-2 in the circle for the Greyhounds, allowing the one run on one
hit and three walks while striking out four batters. The one-hitter was the
second straight by Pellicani. In the
second game, DeBonis extended her
personal scoreless inning streak to 38 with her ninth shutout of the season. DeBonis allowed just one hit and three
walks while striking out seven batters to improve to 11-2 on the season. DeBonis
gave herself a lead in the top of the first inning with a two-RBI double that
scores sophomore outfielder Erica
Klepeisz (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth HS) and Bieniek, who had each singled. DeBonis
would score on an RBI double by Santry
to give the Greyhounds a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Moravian scored again in the top of the fifth
inning on an RBI single by Paly that
scored senior outfielder Lauren Homa
(Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks West HS). DeBonis
allowed just a two-out single in the third inning.
The Greyhounds clinched the top seed in the 2007
Commonwealth Conference Tournament with a 4-1 victory over Elizabethtown College
in the second game of a doubleheader at Blue & Grey Field; however, the
Blue Jays won the first contest, 3-1, to snap the Greyhounds’ nine-game winning
streak. Moravian took a 1-0 lead in the
bottom of the first inning of the first game on an RBI single by Paly that scored sophomore shortstop Jordan Oplinger (Allentown, PA/Parkland HS),
who had reached on an error to lead off the inning. The Blue Jays tied the contest in the top of
the fourth inning on an unearned run. Elizabethtown
would score two more unearned runs in the top of the sixth inning to build a
3-1 lead. Moravian had just three hits in the game. Pellicani dropped to 11-3 on the season, allowing three unearned
runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts. The Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead in the top of
the first inning of the second game. Moravian
responded with three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead
for good. DeBonis hit an RBI single
to score Klepeisz, and Paly scored on a wild pitch. Sophomore
catcher Deanna Mangieri (Pleasantville, NY/Byram Hills HS) drove in the final run of the inning
with an RBI single that scored DeBonis. The Greyhounds added a run in the bottom of
the sixth inning on an RBI sacrifice fly by senior outfielder Lauren Homa (Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks
West HS) which scored freshman Katie
Flood (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), who was pinch running
for Mangieri. Moravian had eight
hits in the contest with two by freshman first baseman Danielle Massa (Livingston, NJ/Livingston HS) while Elizabethtown had five hits with two by
Merrifield. DeBonis improved to 12-2 in the circle with the win but saw her
scoreless inning streak stopped at 38 with the first inning run by the Blue
Jays. DeBonis allowed five hits and
four walks while striking out 11 batters.
Moravian swept a non-conference doubleheader from
rival Muhlenberg College, 6-2 and 7-0, at Blue & Grey
Field. The Mules jumped out to a 2-0
lead in the first game in the top of the second inning. The Greyhounds would
cut the lead in half in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI triple by Santry that scored Bieniek, who had singled. The Greyhounds scored three runs in the
bottom of the third inning to take a 4-2 lead. Klepeisz led off with a triple and scored on an RBI single by Oplinger. After a sacrifice bunt by
sophomore second baseman Katie Agnew
(Doylestown, PA/Lansdale Catholic HS), Paly
connected on a two-run home run down the left field line. The homer was Paly's second of
the season. Moravian finished off the scoring in the bottom of the fourth
inning as Mangieri led off the
inning with a solo home run and Klepeisz
connected on a two-out solo homer. The round-trippers were the first of the
season for Mangieri and Klepeisz. Moravian finished the game
with nine hits including two each by Klepeisz
and Mangieri. Greyhound sophomore
pitcher Kristie Pellicani (Sparta, NJ/Sparta HS) improved
to 12-3 in the circle with the victory, allowing two runs on three hits with
four strikeouts. In the second game, DeBonis did not allow a hit until the
seventh inning and issued just one walk in her tenth shutout of the season and
her third one-hitter of the year. DeBonis,
who is now 13-2 on the season, also struck out 12 batters in the contest. The
Greyhounds scored all of the offense they would need in the bottom of the first
inning with four runs. Oplinger, Klepeisz and Paly each had singles to load the bases. DeBonis reached on an error that allowed Oplinger to score while Klepeisz
crossed the plate on an RBI single by Mangieri.
Senior catcher Danielle Carrione (Bloomfield,
NJ/Mt. St.
Dominic HS) added a two-RBI single to score Paly and DeBonis. Moravian scored again in the bottom of the third inning
when Mangieri led off with a single
and eventually scored on an RBI ground out by freshman pinch hitter Chrissy McGlinn (Lansdale, PA/Gwynedd
Mercy HS). The Greyhounds scored twice more in the bottom of the fifth
inning on an RBI single by Carrione that scored Mangieri,
who had doubled. Carrione
would cross the plate on an RBI single by freshman pinch hitter Anastasia Morris (Annville,
PA/Palmyra
HS). Moravian had 14 hits in the game with three by Mangieri and two each by Klepeisz,
Paly and Carrione.

Moravian snapped a seven-game losing streak with a
7-5 non-conference victory over Delaware
Valley College
at Gillespie Field. The contest was
originally scheduled to be played in Doylestown; however, field conditions
forced the game to be moved to Bethlehem.
The Aggies jumped out to a 1-0 lead in
the top of the first inning and Delaware
Valley extended its lead
to 2-0 in the top of the third inning. Moravian
would take its first lead of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning with
three runs. With two outs in the inning, junior outfielder Josh Baltz (Easton, PA/Easton HS) hit an RBI single and an error on the play
allowed both sophomore first baseman Christopher
Rue (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel
HS) and senior designated hitter Josh
Hunter (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton HS) to score. Rue had been hit by a pitch while Hunter reached on a walk. Freshman
second baseman Michael Zubia (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem
Catholic HS) followed with an RBI single to score Baltz with the go ahead run. The Aggies would tie the contest in the top of
the fifth inning. Moravian took the lead
for good with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Zubia was hit by a pitch with
the bases loaded to score sophomore third baseman Kevin Gambrino (Brick, NJ/Monsignor Donovan
HS). Senior shortstop Pete Moore (Bogota, NJ/Bogota HS) followed with a two-RBI double that scored Baltz and freshman designated hitter Philip Spence (Lafayette,
NJ/Newton
HS). Zubia
scored the final run of the inning on an RBI grounder by freshman outfielder Andrew DeLio (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany
HS). Delaware Valley
would get two runs in the top of the ninth inning. Moravian had 12 hits in the
game with Baltz and Gambrino each
going three-for-four. Zubia,
Moore and sophomore outfielder Joseph Durso (Middletown, NJ/Christian Brother
Academy) each had two hits with Moore
pushing his school record career totals to 158 hits and 31 doubles. Freshman Ryan
Cummings (Toms River,
NJ/Toms River East HS) started on the mound
for Moravian, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks in five innings
of action. Freshman Keith Shaffer (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale
HS) picked up his first collegiate win with 1 1/3 innings of relief work,
allowing three walks and a hit. Freshman Zachary
Andes (Moscow, PA/North Pocono HS) tossed 1 2/3 innings for the Greyhounds,
allowing two runs on two hits and two walks with one strikeout. Freshman Andrew DelRossi (Medford, NJ/Bishop
Eustace HS) came in with a runner at third in the bottom of the ninth
inning and got three straight outs including one strikeout for his first
collegiate save.
The Greyhounds won their second straight game,
defeating Messiah
College, 10-7, in the
first game of a Commonwealth Conference series. The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the
bottom of the first inning and Messiah added a run in the bottom of the second
inning to extend its lead to 3-0. The
Greyhounds would get a run back in the top of the third inning on an RBI single
by Moore
that scored Baltz, who had
walked with two outs. Moravian would
take a 4-3 lead in the top of the fourth inning with a trio of unearned runs. Sophomore
first baseman Matthew McCarthy
(Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) hit into an RBI ground out
that scored senior catcher Colin Welles
(Belvidere, NJ/Belvidere HS), who had reached on an error to lead off the
inning. Gambrino
followed with an RBI single to score freshman designated hitter David Lengyel (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom
HS), who had also reached on an error, and then an RBI single by Baltz which scored DeLio gave Moravian the lead. Messiah
tied the contest in the bottom of the fifth inning. Moravian would get the lead back with a run in
the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Baltz that pushed DeLio across the plate. The Falcons scored twice in the bottom of the
seventh inning. Moravian responded in
the top of the eighth inning with five unearned runs to take a 10-6 lead. Gambrino scored
the first run on an error while Baltz came in on a passed ball. Zubia scored on another Falcon error before
an RBI single by Lengyel
scored Durso.
McCarthy added an RBI single to
score Welles. Messiah was able to get a run in the bottom of
the ninth inning. The Greyhounds had 13 hits in the game with three each by Baltz and Lengyel and two apiece from Moore and McCarthy. Moore
now has a school record 160 hits in his career. Moravian started freshman Christopher Morrison (Middlesex,
NJ/Immaculata HS) on the mound, and he allowed four runs, three of them
earned on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
Freshman Brandon Palmsiano
(Mountainhome, PA/St. Pius X HS) tossed 1 2/3
innings, giving up two runs on two hits and two walks. Freshman Richard Schultz (Drexel Hill, PA/The
Haverford School) would earn his first win of the season, tossing 1 1/3
innings of relief with a run allowed on three hits and a walk. DelRossi earned his second straight save for
Moravian after getting three outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Moravian extended its winning streak to four games
with a doubleheader sweep of Messiah
College, 2-0 and 1-0 in
nine innings, in Commonwealth Conference action at Gillespie. Junior pitcher Matthew Swartz (Dunmore,
PA/Dunmore HS), DelRossi and freshman pitcher Joe Melchionna (Marlboro, NJ/St. John Vianney HS)
combined on the five-hit shutout for the Greyhounds in the first game. Swartz went five innings, allowing five
hits and five walks, and he struck out two batters while winning his second
game of the season. DelRossi
tossed 1 1/3 innings with a walk and a strikeout while Melchionna retired the final two
batters for his first collegiate save. Moravian
scored the only two runs of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Durso had an RBI single to score Moore, who had led off the inning with
a single. McCarthy added another RBI
single later in the inning to score Durso. Moravian had six hits in the game including two by Moore.
Junior Trevor Lawrence (Lansford, PA/Marian Catholic HS) tossed a four-hit
shutout for the Greyhounds in the second game, allowing two walks and three
strikeouts while improving to 3-3 on the season. Moravian scored the only run of the contest in
the bottom of the ninth inning. Moore hit a
one-out double, the school record 32nd of his career, and scored on an RBI
single by Lengyel with two outs. The Greyhounds also had
just four hits in the game with Moore's hit extending his school career
record to 163 hits.
The Greyhounds split a non-conference doubleheader
with King’s College, falling 5-4 in the first game while winning the second
contest by the same score. Moravian took
a 1-0 lead in the first game in the top of the first inning when Baltz walked and scored on a King's error.
The Greyhounds extended their lead to 2-0 in the second inning on an RBI single
by junior second baseman John Bisco (Easton, PA/Notre Dame HS) that scored freshman
catcher Brad Bodine
(Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) who had led off the inning with a single. Moravian made the lead 3-0 when sophomore
outfielder Eric Shea (Madison,
NJ/Morristown
Beard HS) scored on another Monarch error. King's would get a run in the
bottom half of the third inning. The Greyhounds would extend the lead to 4-1 in
the top of the fifth inning when Moore (cored on a King's error. The Monarchs
pulled within a run in the bottom half of the inning on a two-run homer. King's
won the game in the bottom of the seventh inning when a Moravian throwing error
and a single. Moravian had eight hits in the game with two by Bodine. Moore
hit his school record 32nd career double during the game. DelRossi suffered the loss on the mound for the Greyhounds, allowing two
runs, one of them earned on a hit and walk while pitching the seventh inning. Shaffer started for Moravian, allowing
three runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings while junior Brett Stout (Easton, PA/Easton HS) tossed 1 1/3 innings of relief
with one hit allowed. Josh Faust went the distance for the Monarchs with four
walks and four strikeouts. The
Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second game in the top of the first
inning on an RBI single by Welles that
scored Moore, who had reached on a Monarch error
with two outs. Moravian would extend the
lead to 5-0 in the top of the fifth inning. Gambrino led off with a walk and Baltz reached on an error. Zubia would single to load the bases for Moore.
Moore
then connected on his sixth home run of the season, a grand slam to right
center. The Monarchs would score twice
in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut Moravian's lead to 5-2. The Monarchs
scored once in the bottom of the sixth inning on a solo home run, and King's
added a run in the bottom of the seventh inning before the Greyhounds ended the
game. Moravian had 12 hits in the contest with two each by Moore, Zubia,
Gambrino
and Lengyel.
Moore's two hits pushed his school record
career hit record to 166 in the game. Hunter earned his first win of the
season on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings while Palmsiano tossed 1 1/3 innings, allowing an
unearned run on two hits and a walk with one strikeout. Andes faced one batter for the Greyhounds, allowing a hit before Melchionna recorded the final out for his second
save of the season.

Moravian dropped a 17-5 decision at Drew University
in a Middle Atlantic Conference contest. The Rangers jumped out to a 5-1 lead
after the first quarter and held a 6-1 lead at halftime. Drew extended its lead
to 11-1 after three quarters before Moravian put four goals in the cage in the
final 15 minutes. The Rangers had a 46-19 advantage in shots, a 52-30 edge in
ground balls and won 20 of 27 face-offs in the contest. Senior attack Daniel Larson (Dover, DE/Dover HS) and
sophomore attack Jason Tosches (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South HS)
each scored two goals for Moravian while senior midfielder T.J. Hirsch (Putnum Valley, NY/Walter Panas
HS) had a goal and an assist to go with a team high seven ground balls and
five face-off wins. Sophomore attack Keith
Danner (Laurys Station,
PA/Parkland HS) added an assist for the
Greyhounds while sophomore goalie Benjamin
Larson (Dover, DE/Dover HS) had eight saves
and five ground balls in 45 minutes of action. Freshman keeper David Crawford (Asbury,
NJ/North Hunterdon
HS) played the final 15 minutes for Moravian with three saves.
The Greyhounds lost their final Middle Atlantic
Conference road contest of the season, falling to Elizabethtown College,
16-4. The Blue Jays led 5-1 after 15 minutes and 9-2 at halftime. Elizabethtown, which had
a 12-3 advantage after three quarters, had a 38-21 edge in shots, a 44-31
advantage in ground balls and won 12 of 22 face-offs in the match. Danner and freshman midfielder Cruz Sierra (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional
HS) led Moravian with a goal and an assist each while Hirsch and Tosches
each found the back of the net once. Hirsch
had a team high eight ground balls and won six of 15 face-offs. Benjamin Larson made ten saves and had
five ground balls in 46 minutes of action while Crawford made two stops in 14 minutes for the Greyhounds.

Moravian was fourth of four teams at the 2007 Lehigh
Valley College Quad Match hosted by Lehigh
University on the Old
Course at the Saucon Valley Country Club. Lehigh was first with 383 while Lafayette College
was second at 395 and Muhlenberg
College placed third at
401. The Greyhounds had a team score of 410 with senior Brian Bergstol (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor
HS) leading the squad with a round of 73 on the par 72 course, which placed
third of 27 golfers. Senior Thad Miller
(Emmaus, PA/Emmaus
HS) carded a round of 81 to tie for 13th while junior Eric Whitman (Blairstown, NJ/Notre Dame East Stroudsburg {PA} HS) and freshman Steve Labiak (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) each had
rounds of 85 for Moravian that tied for 19th. Freshman Alan Kliewer (Ephrata,
PA/Ephrata HS) had an 18-hole total of 86,
which was tied for 22nd, while junior Brian
Scofield (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills
Regional HS) fired a 91 to finish 27th.
The Greyhounds defeated DeSales University,
307-372, in a dual match on the Weyhill Course at
Saucon Valley Country Club. Bergstol led Moravian with a par round
of 72 while sophomore Matt Hegarty (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS) fired a 74 for his best round of the
season. Whitman turned in a score of
80 on the 6,356-yard course while Kliewer had an
81. Labiak rounded out the Moravian golfers with
a round of 88.
Moravian is tied for third of 12 schools after the
first day of competition at the Glenmaura National
Collegiate Invitational being hosted by The University of Scranton at Glenmaura National Golf Course in Moosic. The Greyhounds
have a score of 310 along with Swarthmore
College. Susquehanna University is currently in first place
with a team total of 291. Bergstol is tied for second of 59 golfers after a first
round score of 73 on the par 71 course. Labiak had an 18-hole total of 76, which is tied for 11th,
while Miller is tied for 19th after
a round of 79. Whitman is tied for
33rd with an 82 opening round score while Kliewer fired a first round
score of 84 and is tied for 36th.

a team reaches the necessary five points. Moravian had a lead in three of the

Moravian suffered a 17-8 loss to Drew University
in a Middle Atlantic Conference match on the HUB Quad. Moravian trailed just 7-3 with seven minutes
remaining; however, the Rangers ran off six goals to end the half and nine in a
row overall to build a 16-3 lead. Drew had a 34-22 advantage in shots and a 9-6
edge in draw controls while Moravian had a 17-14 advantage in ground
balls. Senior attack Lindsey Lustrino (Spring Lake, NJ/Manasquan
HS) led the Greyhounds with three goals and an assist to raise her school
record career totals to 144 goals, 17 assists and 161 points. Lustrino has had team highs of four
caused turnovers and three draw controls to go with three ground balls. Junior
midfielder Erica Spatz
(Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken
HS) found the back of the cage twice and added a team high four ground
balls while freshman midfielder Lynda
Kauffman (Boothwyn, PA/Chichester HS) had a goal
and an assist. Junior midfielder Casey Simpson (Laporte, PA/Sullivan County
HS) and freshman attack Jillian Pagliei (Ivyland, PA/Council
Rock North HS) each scored for Moravian while freshmen midfielder Paige Warbrick (Souderton, PA/Souderton
Area HS) and attack Kayla Carson (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing
HS) each had an assist. Warbrick added four ground balls while freshman goalie Katie Wise (Ardsley, PA/Abington
HS) made 13 saves for the Greyhounds.
Moravian won its first match of the season, defeating Cedar Crest
College, 19-4, in
non-conference action. The Greyhounds scored the first six goals of the contest
and led 11-1 at halftime. Moravian had a 39-20 advantage in shots, a 27-23 edge
in ground balls and a 14-11 edge in draw controls in the match. Lustrino led the Greyhounds with three
goals and an assist to raise her school record career totals to 147 goals, 18
assists and 165 points. Carson netted
her first career hat trick for Moravian while Spatz, Warbrick and Pagliei each found the back of

had four ground balls to lead Moravian while Spatz had a team high three draw
controls. Wise did play the first
half of the match in goal, making five saves for her first collegiate win.
Senior Jenna Abramson (Bangor,
PA/Bangor
HS) played the final 30 minutes in the cage with three saves in her first
collegiate action in goal.
The Greyhounds team won their second straight match and
first Middle Atlantic Conference contest of the season with a 19-5 victory over
Wilkes University on the HUB Quad. Moravian had a 10-3 lead at halftime. The
Greyhounds posted a 48-12 advantage in shots, a 39-17 edge in ground balls and
a 17-9 advantage in draw controls. Lustrino set school records for
Moravian in the match with nine goals and ten points, raising her school career
record totals to 156 goals, 19 assists and 175 points. Lustrino also had team highs of five ground balls and four caused
turnovers to go with four draw controls. Warbick added two goals and an assist while Simpson and Daly each
found the back of the cage twice. Spatz and Castellano each had a goal and two
assists while Kauffman and Pagliei each had a goal and an assist for the
Greyhounds. Carson
has an assist for Moravian while Spatz led the squad with seven draw controls to go with five
ground balls. Wise started in goal for the Greyhounds, making three saves in 45
and a half minutes. Abramson played the rest of the game and did not face a shot.

Moravian finally played its first match of the spring season,
falling to Wilkes
University, 5-4, in a
non-conference contest that featured two squads already qualified for the NCAA
Division III National Championship Tournament. The Colonels led 2-1 after
doubles action with the Greyhounds' lone point coming from a win at second
doubles by senior Courtney Hall (Denver, PA/Cocalico HS)
and junior Lindsey Hopper (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex
HS). Moravian earned wins at the fourth, fifth and sixth singles flights
with victories by sophomore MaryKate Kelly (Beach
Haven, NJ/Southern Regional HS), junior Jennel Yelito (Tamaqua, PA/Tamaqua HS) and junior Rebecca Angstadt (Hamburg,
PA/Hamburg

The Greyhounds had four competitors in the hammer throw
on the first day of the non-scoring 2007 Moravian Greyhound Invitational at
Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field. There were meet records set in
ten of the 19 events of the two-day invitational, the first since the track was
renovated in 2005. Senior Steve Kondorossy
(Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery HS) placed tenth with a throw of 39.49 meters
(129 feet, six inches) while sophomore Blair
Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) placed 14th at 33.57 meters
(110 feet, one inch). Freshman Ronald Draina (Metuchen, NJ/Metuchen HS) was 16th in the event with a toss of
32.62 meters (107 feet) while freshman Matthew
Wisotsky (Bushkill, PA/East Stroudsburg North HS) placed
18th with a distance of 29.24 meters (95 feet, 11 inches).
The Greyhounds’ top individual performer was junior Ozzie Brown (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh HS), who placed second in the 110-meter high
hurdles in a school record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of
14.47 seconds, second in the long jump in an NCAA Division III provisional
qualifying distance of 7.23 meters (23 feet, 8 3/4 inches), third in the
100-meter dash in 11.00 seconds and third in the 200-meter dash in 22.04
seconds.
Moravian had ten other top ten finishers with freshman Michael Blenk (Inwood, NY/Lawrence HS) finished third in the long jump
at 6.99 meters (22 feet, 11 1/4 inches) and seventh in the triple jump with a
distance of 13.43 meters (44 feet, 3/4 inch). Sophomore Justin Starcher (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack HS) was fourth in the javelin throw with
a toss of 53.74 meters (176 feet, four inches) while junior Nathanie Dutile (Plymouth, ME/Nokomis HS) took
seventh in the discus throw with a distance of 41.24 meters (135 feet, four
inches). Junior Nathaniel Tussey (Perkiomenville, PA/Boyertown HS) was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles
in 56.55 seconds while junior Allan
Fatzinger (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua HS) tied for seventh in
the pole vault at 4.15 meters (13 feet, 7 1/4 inches). Sophomore Alan Woods (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff
HS) was tenth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.00 meters (13 feet,
1 1/2 inches) while Maginnis took
eighth in the shot put with a toss of 14.38 meters (47 feet, 2 1/4 inches).
Senior Michael Ossont
(Archbald, PA/Valley View HS) was ninth in the
javelin at 50.80 meters (166 feet, 8 1/4 inches) while Kondorossy placed tenth in the
hammer throw on the first day. Moravian's 4x400-meter relay time of sophomore Timothy Murphy (Bethlehem,

took 14th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:13.64 while sophomore John McCullough (Levittown, PA/Conwell
Egan HS) was 29th in 4:54.61. Freshman Timothy
Betz (Havertown, PA/Haverford HS) was 21st in the
5,000-meter run in a time of 17:54.39.
In additional throwing results for the Greyhounds,
sophomore Michael Ientile (Manchester,
NJ/Manchester Township HS) placed 11th in the javelin with a toss of 47.15
meters (154 feet, 8 1/2 inches) while junior Lance Adelsberger (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) was
15th in the shot put at 11.85 meters (38 feet, 10 1/2 inches). Draina took 16th
in the discus with a toss of 32.00 meters (105 feet) while Wisotsky was 18th at 31.53 meters (103 feet, five inches).

The Greyhounds’ top individual performer was freshman Dana Haslett (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge
HS), who won the 200-meter dash in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying, a school record and meet record time of 25.12
seconds. Haslett was also third in
the 100-meter dash in 12.36 seconds and joined with fellow freshman Rachel Beck (Churchville, PA/Council Rock
South HS) and seniors Erin Recker
(Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua HS) and Amy
Reehil (Roselle, NJ/Roselle Catholic HS) to place
fourth in the 4x100-meter relay in a school record and NCAA Division III
provisional qualifying time of 47.59 seconds. The time is just .09 seconds shy
of automatically qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Freshman Anna Heim
(Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS) also won an event, capturing the pole vault
with a meet record, school record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying
height of 3.55 meters (11 feet, 7 3/4 inches). Heim, Haslett, Reehil and
freshman Kaitlyn Boyer (Oley, PA/Oley Valley
HS) placed fifth in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 4:07.61.
Moravian had eight other top ten finishers with Recker finishing fourth in the
100-meter dash in 12.43 seconds and seventh in the 200-meter dash in a time of
25.69 seconds. Freshman Jessica Posimo (Philadelphia, PA/St. Basil Academy)
was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.58 seconds, and she was ninth in
the triple jump at 10.98 meters (36 feet, 1/4 inch). Freshman Rebeka Woolley (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant
Boro HS) placed fourth in the javelin throw with a toss of 36.83 meters
(120 feet 10 1/4 inches) while Robertson
was fifth in the javelin at 35.51 meters (116 feet, 6 1/4 inches), ninth in the
hammer throw on the first day of the meet and tenth in the discus throw with a
distance of 29.02 meters (95 feet, 2 3/4 inches).
Beck took 15th
in the 100-meter dash in 13.07 seconds, and she was 19th in the 200-meter dash
in 27.06 seconds. Senior Suzanne Tamlyn (Wappingers Falls,
NY/Wallkill HS) was 23rd in the 100-meters in 13.37 seconds and 22nd in the
200-meters in 27.49 seconds while senior Kathleen
McCarron (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth HS) was 25th in
the 100-meter dash in 13.44 seconds and 33rd in the 200-meter dash in 27.87
seconds. Freshman Queenie Tang (Bedminster,
NJ/Chatham HS) was 29th in the 200-meter
dash in 27.71 seconds while freshman Cassidy
Thomas (Arnold, MD/Broadneck HS)
took 400th in a time of 29.41 seconds. Boyer
was 19th in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.91, and she placed 31st in the 200-meter
dash in 27.84 seconds.
Heim placed
14th in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:08.62 while freshman Katelyn Chando (Coopesburg, PA/Southern
Lehigh HS) was 18th at 1:10.71 and junior Naomie Kachel (Shillington, PA/Governor
Mifflin HS) took 28th in a time of 1:19.97. Kachel was 12th in the
3,000-meter steeplechase in 13:18.51 while Thomas
finished 30th in the 100-meter hurdles in 19.13 seconds. Junior Katie Pulizzano (Allentown, PA/William
Allen HS) finished 21st in the 5,000-meter run in 20:12.06 while sophomore Katie Williams (Tafton, PA/Wallenpaupack HS) took 26th in a time of 21:10.07.
Posimo
tied for 13th in the high jump at 1.50 meters (four feet, 11 inches), and she
was 13th in the long jump at 5.24 meters (17 feet, 2 1/4 inches). Freshman Rachel Riggs (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg HS)
took 16th in the long jump at 5.07 meters (16 feet, 7 3/4 inches) while McCarron was
22nd at 4.98 meters (16 feet, 4 1/4 inches). Sophomore Thea Kennerkneckt (Central Valley,
NY/Monroe-Woodbury HS) tied for 13th in the pole vault at 2.95 meters. In
the triple jump, McCaaron
was 12th at 10.44 meters (34 feet, three inches) while Riggs took 14th at 10.40 meters (34 feet, 1/2 inch) and Tang placed 22nd at 9.90 meters (32
feet, 5 3/4 inches). Freshman Aliina Ross (Paoli, PA/Conestoga
HS) was 12th in t he javelin with a toss of 31.75 meters (104 feet, 2 1/4
inches).
