Scranton scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning, the first two runs Moravian had allowed in conference action this season.  The Royals first run scored on a Greyhound error on a single bit by sophomore shortstop Annie Zeleniak while junior catcher Samantha Russo had an RBI ground out to score the other run.

Moravian had a 10-3 edge in hits in the game with Klepeisz going three-for-three, and she scored to runs to become the eighth player in school history to reach 100 career runs scored.  Mangieri was two-for-three.

DeBonis improved to 11-5 in the circle this season for the Greyhounds, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out five batters in five innings of action.  Sophomore hurler Elizabeth Python (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) pitched the final two innings, allowing two unearned runs on a hit and a walk with two strikeouts.

Moravian swept its sixth straight doubleheader and improved to 6-0 in Landmark Conference action with a 4-1 victory over The University of Scranton in the second game of a conference twinbill at Blue & Grey Field. The win also moved Moravian 16-year head coach John Byrne two wins away from the 500-victory plateau.

The Greyhounds would get all of their offense in the bottom of the first inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead.  Sophomore shortstop Stephanie Falzarano led off the inning with a single and after a sacrifice bunt by freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko (Nazarteth, PA/Nazareth), senior designated player Maria DeBonis had a single.  A Scranton error on a ball hit by senior first baseman Sheri Bieniek would allow Falzarano to score while sophomore outfielder Amanda Paulus hit a two-RBI triple scoring DeBonis and Bieniek. After senior catcher Deanna Mangieri walked, the Greyhounds had Mangieri get into an intentional run down to score Paulus before Mangieri was tagged out.

Scranton scored its lone run of the game in the top of the second inning when freshman designated player Ashley Vosilla led off the inning with a solo home run, her sixth of the season.

Both teams had six hits in the contest.  Paulus was two-for-three for Moravian while sophomore shortstop Annie Zeleniak and sophomore outfielder Mia Collarini were each two-for-three for Scranton.

Sophomore pitcher Elizabeth Python started in the circle for Moravian and earned her fifth win of the season, allowing a run on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts in four innings of action.  Freshman Jenna Gonzalez (Annandale, NJ/North Hunterdon) pitched one inning with a hit allowed while freshman Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) had a strikeout in two innings of action for her first career save.
