Moravian is in first place of six schools after the first day of the 2009 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships being hosted by Goucher College. The defending champion Greyhounds scored 87 points in the first day of the meet with three individual champions in the seven completed events. Susquehanna University is just seven and a half points behind Moravian.

The Greyhounds champions of the first day included junior Michael Blenk (Inwood, NY/Lawrence) winning the long jump in an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying distance of 7.06 meters (23 feet, two inches), senior Blair Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills Regional) capturing the discus throw with a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying distance of 42.57 meters (139 feet, eight inches) and freshman Timothy Layng (Canton, PA/Canton) placing first in the pole vault at an ECAC qualifying height of 4.40 meters (14 feet, 5 1/4 inches).

Senior Alan Woods (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) was second in the pole vault, clearing the same height as Layng but in more attempts while freshman Kyle D'Angelo (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern) took fifth at 4.10 meters (13 feet, 5 1/4 inches). Blenk was second in the high jump, clearing 1.78 meters (five feet, ten inches) while sophomore Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X) was third at the same height in more attempts. Woodruff also placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 6.36 meters (20 feet, 10 1/2 inches) while freshman Jordan Barton (Williamsport, PA/Montoursville) was seventh at 5.82 meters (19 feet, 1 1/4 inches).

Freshman Gary Zack (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) was third in the javelin throw with a toss of 54.43 meters (178 feet, 11 inches) while senior Justin Starcher (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack) placed fifth at 52.47 meters (172 feet, two inches. Junior Christian Seebode (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) was fifth in the discus with a toss of 34.74 meters (114 feet) while Starcher placed eighth at 33.98 meters (111 feet, six inches) and junior Matthew Wisotsky (Bushkill, PA/East Stroudsburg North) took ninth with a distance of 33.77 meters (110 feet, nine inches).

Sophomore Connor Skutches (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:07.16 while senior Jeremiah Reinhart (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) was fourth in the 10,000-meter run in 35:07.38.

In preliminary events, Woodruff was first in the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 10.79 seconds while senior Robert Shaffer (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) took second an ECAC qualifying time of 11.02 seconds. Sophomore Warner Jones (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) also advanced to the finals with a time of 11.22 seconds, while was fourth in qualifying while D'Angelo took ninth in 11.72 seconds. Jones was first in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash in 50.26 seconds while senior Nathaniel Tussey (Perkiomenville, PA/Boyertown Area) was second in 50.29 seconds, junior Steve Parisi (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) was sixth at 51.57 seconds and senior Timothy Murphy (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) took seventh at 51.63 with all four advancing to the final. Moravian took the top four of the top five spots in the preliminaries in the 200-meter dash to advance to the finals. Woodruff was first in the race in an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying time of 21.66 seconds while Jones took second in an ECAC qualifying time of 22.33 seconds, Shaffer finished third in 22.55 seconds and Tussey placed fifth at 22.81 seconds.

Blenk is also first after the first five events of the decathlon with 3,076 points while freshman Christopher Gallogly (Homdel, NJ/Holmdel) is third with 2,422 points. Blenk earned 717 points for a time of 11.67 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 764 points for a distance of 6.79 meters (22 feet, 3 1/2 inches) in the long jump, 460 points for a distance of 9.57 meters (31 feet, 4 3/4 inches) in the shot put, 560 points for a height of 1.72 meters (five feet, 7 3/4 inches) in the high jump and 575 points for a time of 55.59 seconds in the 400-meter dash. Blenk was first in four of the five events. Gallogly garnered 645 points for a time of 12.03 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 352 points for a distance of 4.84 meters (15 feet, 10 1/2 inches) in the long jump, 427 points for a distance of 9.02 meters (29 feet, 7 1/4 inches) in the shot put, 441 points for a height of 1.57 meters (five feet, 1 3/4 inches) in the high jump and 637 points for a time of 54.07 seconds in the 400-meter dash.

The Greyhounds defended their Landmark Conference title, winning the 2009 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Goucher College. Moravian scored 285 points while Susquehanna University finished as the runner-up with 240.5 points.

Moravian won nine individual events and two relay titles in the 14 events that awarded gold medals on the second day of the meet. Sophomore Eric Woodruff was named the Male Track Athlete of the Year after winning the 100-meter dash in a school record, a Landmark Conference meet record, an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying time of 10.59 seconds, and capturing the 200-meter dash in a school record, a Landmark Conference meet record, an NCAA Division III automatic and ECAC qualifying time of 21.23 seconds. Woodruff also ran a leg on both of Moravian's winning relay teams, the 4x100-meter squad that won in a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying time of 42.32 seconds, and the 4x400-meter team that had an ECAC qualifying time of 3:23.60.

Senior Blair Maginnis earned Male Field Athlete of the Year honors for the second straight year after capturing the shot put with an ECAC qualifying toss of 15.28 meters (50 feet, 1 3/4 inches) and winning the hammer throw with a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying mark of 48.82 meters (160 feet, two inches). Moravian head Walt Wandall and his staff were recognized as the Coaching Staff of the Year for a second consecutive year as well.

Moravian had one other multiple winner on the second day of the Landmark Conference Championships with senior Nathaniel Tussey winning the 110-meter high hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 14.95 seconds and capturing the 400-meter hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 54.37 seconds. Sophomore Warner Jones won the 400-meter dash in a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying time of 48.81 seconds while senior Timothy Murphy won the 800-meter run in a Landmark Conference meet record time of 1:55.99. Jones and Murphy joined Woodruff and sophomore Connor Skutches on the Greyhounds' winning 4x400-meter relay team while Woodruff and Jones teamed up with senior Robert Shaffer (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) and junior Ryan Rempe (Dickson City, PA/Mid-Valley) to win the 4x100-meter relay.

The Greyhounds' final individual champion was junior Michael Blenk, who captured first place in the decathlon for the second straight year. Blenk had a point total of 5,283 after the final five events on the second day of competition. Blenk earned 638 points for a time of 16.87 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, 451 points for a distance of 39.30 meters (96 feet, one inch) in the discus, 490 points for a height of 3.53 meters (11 feet, seven inches) in the pole vault, 461 points for a distance of 41.33 meters (135 feet, seven inches) in the javelin and 167 points for a time of 6:26.30 in the 1,500-meter run. Blenk was first among the competitors in the hurdles, discus and javelin.

Shaffer was the runner-up in the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 10.79 seconds while Jones took fourth in 11.23 seconds. Jones was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 22.21 seconds while Shaffer was third with an ECAC qualifying time of 22.42 seconds and freshman Kyle D'Angelo was fifth in 23.33 seconds. In the 400-meter dash, Tussey was third in an ECAC qualifying time of 49.84 seconds while Murphy was fifth in 51.33 seconds and junior Steve Parisi finished sixth in 51.79 seconds. Blenk was the runner-up in the 110-meter high hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 15.75 seconds.

Skutches was third in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:56.40 while sophomore Jacob Tazik (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) placed seventh in 2:00.44. Tazik also placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:15.08 while freshman Zach Rivenbark (Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh) finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:30.79. Blenk also placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 12.97 meters (43 feet, 6 3/4 inches) while freshman Jordan Barton was sixth with a leap of 11.39 meters (37 feet, 4 1/2 inches). Junior Matthew Wisotsky took fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 42.34 meters (138 feet, 11 inches) while junior Christian Seebode (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) was ninth at 33.17 meters (108 feet, ten inches).

Moravian is in first place of five schools scoring points after the first day of the 2009 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships being hosted by Goucher College. The defending champion Greyhounds scored 105 points in the first day of the meet with four individual champions in the seven completed events. Juniata is in second place with 68 points.

The Greyhounds had four champions of the first day included junior Anna Heim (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) winning the pole vault at an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying height of 3.60 meters (11 feet, 9 3/4 inches), junior Symonne Scott (Attleboro, MA/Attleboro) capturing the long jump with a school record tying, a Landmark Conference meet record, an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying distance of 5.64 meters (18 feet, six inches), sophomore Mary King (Paramus, NJ/Paramus) finishing first in the javelin throw with an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying distance of 40.09 meters (131 feet, six inches) and freshman Brittany Moses (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) winning the discus with a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying distance of 36.28 meters (119 feet).

Senior Christine Kihm (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) was the runner-up in the pole vault at an ECAC qualifying height of 3.35 meters (ten feet, 11 3/4 inches). Junior Jessica Posimo (Philadelphia, PA/St. Basil Academy) was the runner-up in the long jump with an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying distance of 5.47 meters (17 feet, 11 1/2 inches) while junior Rachel Riggs (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) took third with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.31 meters (17 feet, 5 1/4 inches). Sophomore Shannon McEvoy (Lafayette, NJ/High Point Regional) was fifth in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 5.25 meters (17 feet, 2 3/4 inches) while sophomore Alexandra Lopez (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan) took sixth at 5.01 meters (16 feet, 5 1/4 inches).

Sophomore Kaleen Holden (Scranton, PA/Bishop Hannan) took third in the javelin throw at 34.75 meters (114 feet) while freshman Anne Joseph (Livingston, NJ/Livingston) took fourth at 32.10 meters (105 feet, four inches) and junior Aliina Ross (Paoli, PA/Conestoga) was seventh at 28.79 meters (94 feet, five inches). Joseph took third in the discus with a toss 34.40 meters (112 feet, ten inches) while junior Flora Robertson (Hawley, PA/East Stroudsburg North) placed fifth at 30.57 meters (110 feet, three inches).

Senior Kelly Williams (Tafton, PA/Wallenpaupack) was the runner-up in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 40:34.83 while freshman Kristina Ruggiero (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) finished fourth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:59.65.

In preliminary events, sophomore Syndi Wisniewski (Orlando, FL/Winter Park) placed first in the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 12.78 seconds while Scott was second in 12.81 seconds. Junior Rachel Beck (Churchville, PA/Council Rock South) took third in the 100-meter dash in 12.93 seconds while Posimo was fourth in 12.96 seconds, Riggs was fifth in 13.08 seconds and sophomore Alyssa Wert took seventh in 13.22 seconds. All six runners advanced to the final. Wisniewski also finished first in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 59.53 seconds while junior Katelyn Chando (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) took third in 1:01.60 and sophomore Mallory Goggins (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Friends) took eighth in 1:02.68 with all three advancing to the finals.

Wisniewski placed first in the preliminaries of the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 26.12 seconds while Posimo was second at 26.43 seconds. Scott was third in 26.48 seconds while Riggs technically took fourth single Wisniewski, Scott and Posimo each won their heats, but Riggs had the second fastest preliminary time at 26.35 seconds. Wert took eight in 27.13 seconds to give the Greyhounds five runners in the final of the 200-meter dash while Chando took 11th in 27.72 seconds. Posimo was first in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 15.40 seconds while McEvoy was second in an ECAC qualifying time of 15.86 seconds. Lopez took third in the hurdles in 16.60 seconds with all three competitors making the final.

The Greyhounds defended their Landmark Conference title, winning the 2009 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Goucher College. Moravian scored 318 points, more than double that of runner-up Juniata College, which registered 154 points.

Moravian had seven individual and two relay champions in the 14 events that awarded titles during the second day of the meet. Freshman Hailey Neff (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) was honored as the Female Rookie of the Year after winning the 800-meter run in a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying time of 2:17.28, and she ran a leg on Moravian's winning 4x400-meter relay squad that posted an ECAC qualifying time of 4:00.47.

The Greyhounds had one dual champion on the second day of the meet with sophomore Sydni Wisniewski capturing the 200-meter dash in a Landmark Conference meet record and ECAC qualifying time of 25.29 seconds and winning the 400-meter dash in a school record, a Landmark Conference meet record and an ECAC qualifying time of 57.95 seconds.

Junior Symonne Scott captured her second title of the meet, winning the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 12.62 seconds while junior Jessica Posimo captured the 100-meter hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 15.01 seconds. Junior Flora Robertson won the hammer throw with a school record, a Landmark Conference meet record, an NCAA Division III provisional and an ECAC qualifying distance of 47.37 meters (155 feet, five inches). Junior Rachel Riggs captured the triple jump with a Landmark Conference meet record distance of 10.81 meters (35 feet, 5 3/4 inches).

Wisniewski, Scott, Posimo and Riggs combined to run Moravian's winning 4x100-meter relay while Neff, Wisniewski, Posimo and junior Anna Heim posted the winning time in the 4x400-meter relay.

Wisniewski finished as the runner-up in the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 12.65 seconds while Posimo was third in 12.86 seconds. Junior Rachel Beck placed fourth in 12.89 seconds while Riggs was fifth at 12.98 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Posimo was the runner-up in an ECAC qualifying time of 25.75 seconds while Riggs took fourth in an ECAC qualifying time of 26.23 seconds. Scott placed sixth in 26.32 seconds while sophomore Alyssa Wert was seventh in 27.04 seconds. Junior Katelyn Chando was third in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.17 while sophomore Mallory Goggins placed seventh in 1:03.01.

Sophomore Shannon McEvoy was second in the 100-meter hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 15.55 seconds while sophomore Alexandra Lopez (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan) was third in an ECAC qualifying time of 16.19 seconds. Heim took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.38 while Chando was fourth in 1:09.34.

Freshman Kristina Ruggiero (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) was fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:23.64 while senior Naomie Kachel finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:57.62. Senior Kelly Williams was third in the 5,000-meter run in 19:44.28.

Posimo was the runner-up in the triple jump at 10.75 meters (35 feet, 3 1/4 inches) while McEvoy was third at 10.47 meters (34 feet, 4 1/4 inches) and freshman Erin George (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh) took ninth with a distance of 9.52 meters (31 feet, three inches).

Freshman Anne Joseph took fourth in the shot put with a toss of 10.41 meters (34 feet, two inches) while freshman Brittany Moses was seventh at 9.76 meters (32 feet, 1/4 inch). Moses was fourth in the hammer throw at 38.05 meters (124 feet, ten inches) while sophomore Molly DuVall (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) took seventh at 32.98 meters (108 feet, two inches) and Joseph placed eighth at 31.38 meters (102 feet, 11 inches).

Men’s Lacrosse -- 4-12 (Landmark Conference 1-5)

The Muhlenberg College men’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 4-0 first quarter lead and scored the first 14 goals in a 14-2 non-conference win over rival and host Moravian at Rocco Calvo Field.

The victory also clinched the Matte Award for Muhlenberg for the 2008-09 school year as the Mules took a 9.5 to 6.5 lead in the standings with just two teams left to compete.

The Mules led 7-0 at halftime and 13-0 after three quarters.  Muhlenberg had a 39-23 advantage in shots and a 35-23 edge in ground balls while both teams won ten face-offs in the match.

Sophomore midfielder Robert Devine (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes) and freshman midfielder Zachary Stein (Schnecksville, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) each scored for the Greyhounds.  Devine also led Moravian with five ground balls and four caused turnovers while Stein won six of 12 face-offs.  Freshman defender Merrick Smith (Stonington, CT/The Williams School) added four ground balls.

Greyhound senior goalie Benjamin Larson (Dover, DE/Dover) had ten saves and a pair of caused turnovers in just over 47 minutes of action.  Sophomore keeper Benjamin Leavy (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) finished off the match with one save.

The Catholic University of America men’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held on to defeat host Moravian , 8-6, in a Landmark Conference match at Rocco Calvo Field to close out the 2009 season.

The Cardinals led 3-1 after 15 minutes and were ahead 6-3 at halftime.  Both teams scored once in the third quarter for Catholic to hold a 7-4 lead after three quarters.  The Cardinals had a 43-27 advantage in shots, a 33-30 edge in ground balls and won 15 of 18 face-offs.

Senior attack Christopher Danni (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) led Moravian with two goals while sophomore midfielder Robert Devine (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes) had a goal and two assists.  Sophomore attack David Bennett netted a goal and added an assist for the Greyhounds while senior attack Jason Tosches (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) had one goal on senior day to finish his career as the school record holder in career goals with 92.  Sophomore midfielder David Forte (Chester, NJ/West Morris Mendham) had Moravian’s other goal while sophomore attack Christopher Mohapp had three assists.

Devine led the Greyhounds with five ground balls while senior defender Steven Carroll (West Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) had four ground balls to finish his career with an even 200, second in school history, and three caused turnovers.  Moravian senior goalie Benjamin Larson had 18 saves in his final collegiate match to finish his career with a school record 561 saves, and he added three ground balls.

Moravian snapped a five-match losing streak and won its final road and non-conference match of the season, defeating Cedar Crest College 14-4.

The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead on a goal from junior attack Jillian Pagliei (Ivyland, PA/Council Rock North) midway through the first half and went on to hold an 8-0 halftime lead. The Falcons scored the first two goals of the second half before Moravian ran off five more goals for a 13-2 edge. The Greyhounds had a 37-15 advantage in shots, a 27-17 edge in ground balls and an 11-5 advantage in draw controls.

Junior midfielders Katie Wise (Ardsley, PA/Abington) and Paige Warbrick (Souderton, PA/Souderton Area) led Moravian with four goals each while sophomore midfielder Sarah Carman (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) netted three goals. Pagliei had two goals and an assist while sophomore midfielder Maureen Helfers (Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke) added a goal for the Greyhounds. Sophomore midfielder Angel Genther (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) and freshman attack Allison Hess (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) each had assists for Moravian.

Carman led the Greyhounds with seven ground balls to increase her single season school record total to 65 this spring and Moravian's only caused turnover. Carman was one of four Greyhounds to record two draw controls. Junior goalie Courtney Rosenberg (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Regional) added nine saves and four ground balls in the match while Helfers and Wise each had three ground balls.

The Susquehanna University women’s lacrosse team scored three straight goals midway through the first half while down a player to push ahead and eventually defeat host Moravian College, 24-16, in a Landmark Conference match on the HUB Quad Saturday afternoon to close out the 2009 regular season.

The Greyhounds scored first on a goal from junior attack Jillian Pagliei just 36 seconds into the match.  The teams would trade goals until the score was 5-5, and then Susquehanna went on its three-goal run and actually scored eight of the next nine goals.  The Crusaders had a 14-7 lead at halftime.  Susquehanna had a 48-37 advantage in shots and a 23-22 edge in ground balls while Moravian had a 22-19 edge in draw controls.

Sophomore midfielder Sarah Carman led Moravian with five goals and two assists for seven points while Pagliei had three goals and two assists for five points.  Junior midfielder Katie Wise added three goals for the Greyhounds while sophomore midfielder Maureen Helfers netted two goals.  Senior attack Georgia Castellano (Cherry Hills, NJ/Cherry Hill West), junior attack Paige Warbrick and freshman attack Heather Yawger (Morristown, NJ/Academy of St. Elizabeth) each had goals for Moravian.  Freshman attack Allison Hess added an assist.

Wise led Moravian with five ground balls and three draw controls while Carman had four draw controls and three ground balls to finish the season with a school record 68 ground balls.  Warbrick added five draw controls for the Greyhounds while Helfers had three ground balls and three draw controls.  Moravian junior goalie Courtney Rosenberg made 19 saves in the contest.

The King’s College baseball team jumped out to a 12-2 lead after three innings and held off visiting Moravian for a 14-8 non-conference win as the Greyhounds dropped their fifth straight game.

The Monarchs took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI double from pitcher/designated hitter Jon Venarchick and an RBI single by third baseman Jim Troianiello.

The Greyhounds cut the lead in half with a run in the top of the second inning.  Freshman first baseman Kevin O’Keefe (Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton) doubled to start the inning and scored on an RBI single by freshman designated hitter Joe Bartolacci (Easton, PA/Notre Dame).

King’s would push four runs home in the bottom of the second inning to extend its lead to 6-2.  First baseman Eric Matula and catcher Matt Unger each had RBI singles in the inning for the Monarchs while Venarchick had an RBI triple on which two runs scored.

Moravian scored once in the top of the third inning when freshman catcher Blake Shortall (Kintnersville, PA/Freedom) doubled to start the inning and came home on a two-out RBI double from senior outfielder Joseph Durso (Middletown, NJ/Christian Brother Academy).

The Monarchs broke the game open with six more runs in the bottom of the third inning to push its lead to 12-2.  Outfielder Gracjan Kraszewski started the scoring with a one-out solo homer.  Troianiello had a two-RBI single in the inning while Matula, Venarchick and shortstop Rob Fravel each had RBI singles.

The Greyhounds scored a run in the top of the fourth inning.  Junior outfielder Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor) led off with a single and moved to third on a single from freshman third baseman Gregg Steinman (Miami, FL/Palmer Trinity School)Shortall then hit an RBI infield single to score Bodine.

Moravian pulled within 12-8 after scoring five runs in the top of the fifth inning.  Durso led off with a double, extending his single season school record to 19, and O’Keefe followed with an RBI double to score Durso.  After a pitching change, Bartolacci hit another RBI single to score O’Keefe.  Sophomore second baseman Jake Schweitzer (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) walked with one out before Shortall hit a two-out RBI single to score Bartolacci.  Sophomore outfielder Jason Huber (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) then connected on a two-RBI triple scoring Schweitzer and Shortall with the Greyhounds’ final runs of the game.

King’s scored a run in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI ground out from Fravel.  The Monarchs finished off the scoring with a run in the seventh inning on an RBI sacrifice fly by Unger after Venarchick led off the inning with a triple.

The Monarchs had a 19-15 edge in hits with Venarchick going four-for-four with three RBIs.  Matula, Unger, Troianiello, Fravel, Kraszewski, second baseman Matt Feci and outfielder Phil Moskowitz all had two hits for King’s. 

Shortall led Moravian with a three-for-four performance at the plate for Moravian while O’Keefe was three-for-five.  Huber, Durso and Bartolacci each had two hits.  Durso and O’Keefe each had an RBI to keep pace on a new school record for RBIs in a season with both players at 47.  The RBI for Durso was the 120th of his career, which is also a Moravian record.

Junior Joe Melchionna (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) started on the mound for the Greyhounds, and took the loss after allowing 12 runs, eight of them earned, on 15 hits to go with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.  Senior Thomas Murray (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) tossed 2 1/3 innings, giving up a run on two hits and a walk. O’Keefe pitched the final three innings, allowing a run on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

Moravian, behind a pair of home runs from freshman catcher Austin Rock snapped a five-game losing streak with a 12-4 non-conference victory over visiting Arcadia University at Gillespie Field.

The Greyhounds, who are now one win shy of tying the school record of 19 victories set in 1997, jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  Senior outfielder Eric Shea led off with a single, and sophomore outfielder Jason Huber followed with a double.  After an out, freshman designated hitter Kevin O’Keefe hit a two-RBI double to score Shea and Huber and to give O’Keefe sole possession of the single season RBI record at Moravian with his 48th and 49th RBIs of the season.

Moravian put six unearned runs on the board in the bottom of the second inning to take an 8-0 lead.  Senior third baseman Kevin Gambrino reached on an error to start the inning, and sophomore second baseman Jon Baltz singled.  Freshman shortstop Dave Zubia (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) hit an RBI single to score Gambrino; however, Zubia would be out on a fielder’s choice hit by Shea.  After the out, Shea stole second base, his 18th stolen base of the season and the 39th of his career, which ties the Moravian record.  Huber would connect on an RBI sacrifice fly to send Baltz home before senior outfielder Joseph Durso hit an RBI single scoring Shea.  The RBI was Durso’s 48th of the season and the 121st of his career, a school record he already owns. Durso's hit was also his 50th of the season, the second straight year Durso has recorded 50 hits and he is second in school history with 164 hits.  O’Keefe drew a walk before Rock connected on a three-run homer, his fifth home run of the season.

The Greyhounds pushed its lead to 10-0 with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Baltz reached on an error to lead off, and Zubia followed with a single.  Baltz and Zubia pulled off a double steal before Shea hit an RBI ground out to score BaltzZubia would score on an Arcadia error on a ball hit by Durso.

The Knights scored their first two runs of the game in the top of the fifth inning.  Senior outfielder Anthony Champi reached on an error to lead the inning off, and freshman outfielder Mark Bowman reached on another Moravian error with two outs.  Junior outfielder Matt Pempkowski followed with a two-RBI single.

Moravian scored its final two runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning to push its lead back to ten runs at 12-2.  O’Keefe singled to start the inning, and Rock followed with a two-run homer, his team leading sixth of the season.

Arcadia’s final two runs would come on leadoff home runs in the top of the seventh and eighth innings.  Junior pitcher/designated hitter Joe Rafanelli led off the seventh with his first homer of the season while senior third baseman Dan Morris started the eighth with his team-leading third home run for Arcadia.

Moravian had a 13-6 advantage in hits in the game with Zubia going two-for-two and Rock going two-for-three with the two homers and five RBIs.  Shea and O’Keefe also had two hits for the Greyhounds.  Pempkowski and Morris were each two-for-four for Arcadia.

Junior Philip Spence (Lafayette, NJ/Newton) earned his fourth win of the season on the mound for the Greyhounds, allowing two runs, both unearned on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings of action.  Junior Brandon Palmisano (Mountainhome, PA/Pius X) tossed two innings, allowing two runs on two hits with two strikeouts while junior Andrew DeLio (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) tossed the final inning with one strikeout.

Moravian earned an 8-1 victory over visiting Juniata College in the first game of a Landmark Conference doubleheader at Gillespie Field to clinch the second seed in the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament at Susquehanna University beginning May 1st, and the win also tied the Moravian school record for wins in a season with 19 that was originally set in 1997. 

In the first game, Moravian would jump out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  Senior outfielder Eric Shea singled to lead off the inning and then stole second base.  The stolen base, one of three in the game for Shea, was the 40th of his career, setting the Moravian record.  Shea was eventually picked off before sophomore outfielder Jason Huber walked.  Senior outfielder Joseph Durso followed with an RBI double to score Huber, Durso’s 20th double of the season.  Durso would then steal third base and score on a throwing error.  Freshman first baseman Kevin O’Keefe drew a walk, and freshman designated hitter Joe Bartolacci followed with a single.  After an out, sophomore second baseman Jake Schweitzer hit an RBI single to score O’Keefe.

The Greyhounds would extend their lead to 6-0 with three more runs in the bottom of the third inning.  Bartolacci led off with a double and scored on an RBI double from senior third baseman Kevin Gambrino.  Freshman catcher Blake Shortall would send Gambrino home on an RBI sacrifice fly while freshman shortstop Dave Zubia had an RBI single to score Schweitzer, who had reached on a Juniata error.

Juniata scored its only run of the game in the top of the sixth inning.  Senior outfielder Adam Spadafora was hit by a pitch with one out and scored on an RBI single from sophomore first baseman John Martinez. 

Moravian would score two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to finish off the scoring.  Shea singled with one out and scored on a two-out RBI double from Durso, his third double of the game, tying the school mark for the third time this season, and the 51st of his career.  O’Keefe would follow with an RBI single to score Durso.  With their RBIs in the inning, Durso and O’Keefe are tied for the school record with 50 RBIs apiece this season. Durso also set the school single season record for total bases with 91.

The Greyhounds had a 13-3 advantage in hits with Durso going three-for-four to tie the school record for hits in a season with 53.  Shea was also three-for-four in the game and now has 21 stolen bases this season and a school record 42 in his career.  Bartolacci had two hits in two at-bats for the Greyhounds.

Freshman pitcher Brendan Close (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning for the second time this season for Moravian.  He improved to 6-2 on the season and set the school single season record for strikeouts with six in the game to give him 71 for the season.  Close allowed a run on three hits and a walk.

The Greyhounds were shutout for the first time this season, falling to Juniata College, 5-0, in the second game of a Landmark Conference doubleheader at Gillespie Field.

The second game was a pitcher’s duel through the first five innings with neither team able to score.  The Eagles would eventually score two runs in the top of the sixth inning.  Senior outfielder Adam Spadafora drew a walk while senior second baseman Kyle Small reached on a Moravian error.  Sophomore first baseman John Martinez put down a bunt single, and a throwing error on the play allowed Spadafora to score.  Small would score when senior designated hitter Dane Ott hit into a double play.

Juniata would add three runs in the top of the seventh inning.  Senior outfielder Matt Sullivan had an RBI single while Martinez would drive in a run with a bases loaded walk.  Ott was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to drive in the final run.

The Eagles had a 5-4 edge in hits in the game with no one from either team collecting more than one hit.

Junior Ryan Cummings (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) took the loss on the mound for the Greyhounds, allowing four runs, two earned, on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.  Senior Thomas Murray allowed a run on a hit and two walks in a third of an inning while junior Andre DeLio recorded the final out of the inning.

Moravian scored ten runs in the second inning and went on to post a 16-2 win over visiting Juniata College in the final Landmark Conference game of the regular season at Gillespie Field as the Greyhounds won their school record 20th game of the year.

The 2009 squad, which is 20-17 overall and finished second in the Landmark Conference with a 12-6 mark, is first in Moravian’s 20-win season in the 70-year history of the program under the direction of third-year coach Paul Engelhardt.  The previous record of 19 wins was set in 1997, the last time Moravian had a winning record at 19-15.  Moravian has an all-time record of 816-687-10 in 70 seasons of baseball.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  Sophomore outfielder Jason Huber walked with one out, and moved to third on a single from senior outfielder Joseph Durso, his school record 54th hit of the season.  Freshman first baseman Kevin O’Keefe hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Huber.

Moravian chased home ten runs in the second inning, the second ten-run inning of the season and the fourth in double digits, to take an 11-0 lead.  Sophomore second baseman Jake Schweitzer and senior third baseman Kevin Gambrino both reached on fielding to start the inning.  Freshman shortstop Dave Zubia drew a walk to load the bases.  Senior outfielder Eric Shea, Huber and Durso each drew RBI walks to score three runs.  After Juniata made a pitching change, O’Keefe hit the first pitch he saw over the center field fence for a grand slam home run, his sixth homer of the season to tie for the team lead.  The four RBIs also game O’Keefe 55 for the season, extending his school record.  Freshman catcher Austin Rock walked and eventually scored on a two-out RBI single by GambrinoZubia was hit by a pitch, and after a wild pitch, Shea hit a two-RBI single scoring Gambrino and Zubia

The Eagles scored their only two runs on the game in the top of the third inning to cut Moravian’s lead to 11-2.  Senior designated hitter Dane Ott had a two-RBI single for Juniata with one out in the inning.

The Greyhounds came right back and scored three times in the bottom of the third inning for a 14-2 advantage.  After an out, Rock and freshman designated hitter Joe Bartolacci each had singles.  After the second out of the inning, Gambrino was hit by a pitch to load the bases.  Zubia drew an RBI walk that pushed Rock across the plate while Shea had another two-RBI single scoring Bartolacci and Gambrino.

Moravian scored a single run in the bottom of the fifth inning.  Gambrino singled with one out and moved to third on a single by junior shortstop Mike ZubiaShea followed with an RBI sacrifice fly scoring Gambrino.

The Greyhounds finished off the scoring in the bottom of the eighth inning with a single run.  Freshman outfielder Eric Volpe singled with an out and moved to second on a walk by senior outfielder Thomas Czarnecki.  Freshman pinch hitter Matt Kensecki drew another walk before senior catcher Michael LaVerghetta hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Volpe.

Moravian had a 12-6 advantage in hits in the game.  Shea was two-for-three with a career high six RBIs while Gambrino was two-for-two with four runs scored while moving within three hits of becoming the third member of the Greyhound senior class to reach 100 career hits.  Durso, who was two-for-four in the game, is second in school history with 169 hits, just two shy of tying the record, while Shea is now tied for 12th with 107 hits.  Huber added two runs to push his school record to 49 for the season.

Greyhound freshman pitcher Thomas Fenyak earned his sixth win of the year on the mound, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five innings of action.  Juniors Dustin Pflug, Zack Andes and Brandon Palmisano and O’Keefe each worked an inning of relief with all four pitchers facing just three batters.  Pflug did allow a walk but induced a ground ball for a double play while O’Keefe had one strikeout.  Palmisano struck out the side in the top of the ninth inning to close out the game.

Moravian opened a non-conference douleheader with rival Muhlenberg College by posting a 5-1 in the first game at Blue & Grey Field.

Moravian jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning in the opening contest.  Sophomore shortstop Stephanie Falzarano (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) singled to start the inning and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko (Nazarteth, PA/Nazareth).  Senior pitcher Maria DeBonis (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) drew a walk, and senior first baseman Sheri Bieniek (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) reached on catcher’s interference to load the bases.  Freshman second baseman Sarah Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) hit a two-RBI single to score to send Falzarano and DeBonis.

The Mules would cut the lead in half in the top of the third inning.  Freshman catcher Brittany Blohm led off with a double down the left field line and eventually scored on a two-out, RBI infield single by sophomore pitcher Ashley Brewer with the bases loaded that saw all the runners safe as the Greyhounds were unable to make a play at any base.

Moravian would add three insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth inning for a 5-1 lead.  DeBonis singled with one out and moved to second base on a wild pitch.  Bieniek then hit an RBI double to left field to score DeBonis.  After freshman Priscilla Camacho (Jersey City, NJ/County Prep) came on to pinch run, Carmon hit an RBI single scoring CamachoCarmon was eventually thrown out at the plate on an attempted suicide squeeze bunt from senior catcher Deanna Mangieri (Pleasantville, NY/Byram Hills).  Sophomore outfielder Amanda Paulus (Easton, PA/Easton), who had singled earlier in the inning scored on an RBI single off the bat of senior outfielder Erica Klepeisz (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth).

The Greyhounds had a 10-5 edge in hits in the first game with Paulus and sophomore third baseman Marua Agnew each going two-for-three.  Carmon was two-for-four with three RBIs.

DeBonis improved to 13-7 in the circle for Moravian, allowing a run on four hits and four walks with seven strikeouts. The win was also the 50th of DeBonis' career, the sixth pitcher in school history to win 50 games.  Brewer went the distance for the Mules, giving up five runs, four of them earned, on ten hits and two walks with one strikeout.

Senior outfielder Erica Klepeisz hit a one-out, RBI walkoff single to lift the Greyhounds to a 3-2 victory over rival Muhlenberg College to sweep a non-conference doubleheader at Blue & Grey Field. The win for Moravian was just the team's fourth in ten one-run game; however, the Greyhounds finish the regular season 15-1 at home and will host the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament at Blue & Grey Field on May 1st and 2nd.

In the second game, Moravian would strike first again with two runs in the bottom of the third inning.  Klepeisz singled with one out.  Sophomore third baseman Maura Agnew (Doylestown, PA/Lansdale Catholic) put down a sacrifice bunt attempt but beat the throw to first base for a single.  With no one covering third base, Klepeisz raced two bases, and Agnew ended up on second at the end of the play.  Sophomore shortstop Stephanie Falzarano then hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Klepeisz while Agnew would score on an RBI single from freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko (Nazarteth, PA/Nazareth).

The Mules would cut the lead in half with a run in the top of the fourth inning.  Freshman third baseman Shelby Smith singled to lead off the inning and would score on a two-out RBI double by senior second baseman Samantha Crist deep down the right field line.

Muhlenberg tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fifth inning when junior outfielder Jenna Van Waalwijk singled to lead off and scored on a two-out RBI single from sophomore shortstop Jess Kasza.

The Mules had a chance to pull ahead in the top of the seventh inning but were unable to score.  Freshman catcher Brittany Blohm led off with a double and was safe at third on a bunt by Van Wallwijk.  After two fly ball outs, Moravian intentionally walked Kasza to load the bases.  Moravian freshman pitcher Jenna Carmon, who was in the circle for the Greyhounds in the second game, induced a pop up by Smith to leave the bases loaded.

Sophomore outfielder Amanda Paulus led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a single, and she moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from senior catcher Deanna Mangieri.  After a wild pitch moved Paulus to third, Klepeisz ripped an RBI single up the middle to send Paulus home with the winning run.

Moravian had a 7-5 edge in hits in the second contests with Paulus and Klepeisz each going two-for-three.

Carmon won her ninth straight decision in the circle to improve to 11-1 on the season for the Greyhounds.  She allowed two runs on five hits and a walk with one strikeout.

Moravian earned its 30th win of the season, the program's eighth straight 30-win season, with a 6-0 victory at Drew University in the first game of a Landmark Conference doubleheader.

Moravian would jump out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning in the first game.  Sophomore outfielder Amanda Paulus led off with a double and would cross the plate on a one-out RBI double from senior outfielder Erica Klepeisz.  Sophomore third baseman Maura Agnew followed with another RBI double to score Klepeisz, and Agnew scored on a double steal with sophomore outfielder Olivia Evanko stealing second after a walk.

The Greyhounds scored a run in the top of the third inning for a 4-0 lead.  Senior first baseman Sheri Bieniek and freshman pitcher Jenna Carmon drew walks to start the inning, and Bieniek scored on a Drew error on a ball hit by Klepeisz.

Moravian added two runs on the top of the seventh inning.  Carmon and Paulus each singled with one out before senior catcher Deanna Mangieri hit an RBI single to score CarmonPaulus would cross home plate on an RBI single from Klepeisz.

The Greyhounds had a 10-3 advantage in hits in the game with Paulus going three-for-four.  Klepeisz and Agnew were each two-for-four.

In the circle, Carmon earned her 10th straight win to improve to 12-1 on the year.  The victory was also Carmon’s fifth shutout of the season as she scattered three hits and had one strikeout. 

The Greyhounds earned a 9-2 win in the second game of a Landmark Conference doubleheader to sweep Drew University in the final twinbill of the regular season to extend the team's winning streak to seven games. It marks the first time in the 16-year tenure of head coach John Byrne that Moravian was able to play all 40 of its scheduled regular season games without weather conflicts.

Te Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a two-out solo home run from sophomore outfielder Amanda Paulus, her third homer of the season.

Moravian extended the lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning with three more runs.  Senior outfielder Erica Klepeisz led off with a single and moved to second on a two-out walk by freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko.  Senior designated player Maria DeBonis followed with an RBI single to score Klepeisz.  After DeBonis stole second, senior first baseman Sheri Bieniek hit a two RBI single scoring Evanko and DeBonis.

The Greyhounds pushed their lead to 5-0 in the top of the fourth inning when Paulus connected on her second homer of the game to lead off the inning.  It was her fourth home run of the year and the seventh of her career.

Drew would get its first run of the doubleheader in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI single from third baseman Megan Mesaros.

Moravian pushed a run across the plate in the top of the fifth inning for a 6-1 lead.  DeBonis walked with one out and moved to second on a wild pitch.  After a second out, freshman second baseman Jenna Carmon hit an RBI single to score DeBonis.

The Greyhounds scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 9-1 lead.  Junior outfielder Katie Flood (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) and DeBonis each had walks to lead off the inning before an RBI single from Bieniek chased Flood home.  Paulus had an RBI fielder’s choice to score DeBonis while Bieniek scored on an RBI fielder’s choice by freshman pinch hitter Priscilla Camacho.

The Rangers would score the final run of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning on an RBI ground out from pitcher April Jacobs that scored first baseman Jillian Lusk

Moravian had an 8-3 advantage in hits in the contest with Paulus going two-for-three.  Bieniek was two-for-four, and both Bieniek and Paulus each had three RBIs in the game.  Lusk scored both runs for Drew.

Sophomore Elizabeth Python (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) improved to 6-1 in the circle for the Greyhounds, giving up two runs, one earned, one three hits and a walk with one strikeout.

            Moravian won its sixth straight match and finished off its 2008-09 non-conference schedule with a 5-4 victory at Ursinus College. The Greyhounds led 2-1 after doubles action with wins by the teams of freshman Jami Fein (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) and senior Dyana Swan (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) at first doubles and senior MaryKate Kelly (Beach Haven, NJ/Southern Regional) and sophomore Kerry McKinley (Sparta, NJ/Pope John XXIII) at third doubles. The teams then split the singles matches with each school winning three. Fein earned a victory in straight sets at first singles while Swan and McKinley each needed three sets to win at second and fourth singles respectively.

Moravian won a battle of previously undefeated teams in Landmark Conference action, defeating visiting Juniata College, 8-1, at Hoffman Courts to earn the top seed in the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament and finish its second straight undefeated conference regular season. The victory was the sixth straight for Moravian.  The Greyhounds jumped out to a 2-1 lead in doubles action.  Moravian had wins from the teams of freshman Jami Fein and senior Dyana Swan at first doubles and senior MaryKate Kelly and sophomore Kerry McKinley. The Greyhounds swept the singles action.  Fein won in straight sets at first singles while Swan needed three sets for a win at second singles.  Kelly posted a straight sets win at third singles while McKinley won in two sets at fourth singles for her 18th singles victory of the season, to move within a win of the single season record.  Freshman Alexandra Hay (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) won in straight sets at fifth singles while freshman Anna Meola (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland) was victorious at sixth singles in two sets. Moravian will host The University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference semifinal match on Wednesday, April 29th beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.

Men’s Tennis -- 12-5 (Landmark Conference 6-1)

              Moravian improved its chances of hosting a home postseason match for the first time since 1996 as the Greyhounds defeated The University of Scranton, 6-3, in a Landmark Conference match that took two days to complete.
           The schools began play on Wednesday, April 22nd and were tied at 3-3 with three singles matches in the third set when rain forced the match to be suspended until Thursday.  Both teams have already clinched a berth in the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament but the seeding will not be decided until after the final round of conference matches on Saturday.
           The Royals led 2-1 after the doubles matches with Moravian’s only win coming at second doubles where freshman Kevin Holze (Bayside, NY/St. Francis Prep) and Drew Shreter (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) earned an 8-4 win for their school record 14th win of the season.
           In the singles matches that finished on Wednesday, sophomore Doug Morrow (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) earned a straight sets win at first singles while junior Jason Bonilla (Whitestone, NY/Bayside) won in two sets at sixth singles.
           When play resumed on Thursday, Holze was the first to finish, winning in three sets at second singles to put the Greyhounds up 4-3.  The win was also the 19th of the season for Holze, who moved a victory ahead of Shreter as the two players both attempt to finish the year with the school record.  Freshman Nick Yelito (Tamaqua, PA/Tamaqua) won clinch the Moravian victory with a three-set win at fifth singles while junior Chandler Forman (Plymouth, MA/Plymouth) added a win at fourth singles for the Greyhounds.

  Moravian posted a 7-2 Landmark Conference victory over visiting Juniata College at Hoffman Courts to earn the second seed in the 2009 Landmark Conference that begin on Tuesday April 28th.
            The Greyhounds, who tied the school record with their 12th win of the season to tie the mark set in 1996, will host The University of Scranton on Tuesday at a time still to be determined.  It will be Moravian’s first home postseason appearance since that 1996 season.
            Moravian would lead 2-1 after doubles action with victories from the teams of sophomore Doug Morrow and freshman Nick Yelito at first doubles and junior Chandler Forman and sophomore Thomas Turcich (Haddon Township, NJ/Haddon Township) at third doubles.
            Moravian won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.  Freshman Kevin Holze won at second singles to improve his school record for the season to 20 wins while freshman Drew Shreter earned a victory at third singles for his 19th win of the year.  Forman and Yelito posted wins at fourth and fifth singles while senior Keith Feinman (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) won at sixth singles on senior day.

The Greyhounds placed fourth of four schools at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Cup hosted by Muhlenberg College at the Lehigh Country Club. Moravian had a team score of 392 while Lehigh University was first with a 383. Lafayette College was second with a team total of 388 while the host Mules were third at 389. Greyhounds sophomore Lucas Smith (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) placed first of the 28 golfers with a one-over par round of 71 on the par 70 course. Junior Nicholas Repko-Moschini (Easton, PA/Easton) was tied for ninth with a round of 78 while junior Alan Kliewer (Ephrata, PA/Ephrata) finished 16th with an 80. Sophomore Seth Hartman (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) was 17th with an 18-hole total of 81 while freshman John Dimler (Allentown, PA/Parkland) and sophomore Robert McKay (Bethlehem, PA/Northampton) tied for 18th with rounds of 82. Freshman Sam Stires (Bedminster, NJ/Bernards) rounded out the Moravian golfers with a round of 92.
