At Drew University in Landmark Conference Semifinals – Lost 8-1

The fourth-seeded Greyhounds dropped an 8-1 decision at top seeded Drew University in the 2008 Landmark Conference Semifinals. Moravian's lone point came at first singles in a straight sets victory by sophomore Ian Box, who was named the 2008 Landmark Conference Player of the Year earlier in the day. Box's win was his 13th straight at first singles.

At Juniata College – Won 6-3

Moravian snapped a four-match losing streak and earned the fourth seed in the 2008 Landmark Conference Tournament with a 6-3 victory at Juniata College in the regular season finale. The postseason berth in the second straight for Moravian. The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after doubles action with just a win at third doubles by the team of sophomore Jason Bonilla and freshman Matthew Share. Moravian would be victorious in five of the six singles matches with straight sets wins by sophomore Ian Box, sophomore Chandler Forman, freshman Thomas Turcich and Share. Junior Keith Feinman won in three sets for the Greyhounds while Bonilla dropped a three-set match that included a tiebreaker in the second set.

Vs. Lebanon Valley College – Lost 5-4

The Greyhounds dropped their final home match of the 2007-08 season, falling to former conference rival Lebanon Valley College, 5-4, in a non-conference contest at Hoffman Courts. Moravian trailed 2-1 after the doubles action with just a victory at second doubles by the tandem of sophomore Chandler Forman and freshman Thomas Turcich. The Greyhounds and the Flying Dutchmen would split the singles contests with Moravian receiving straight sets wins from Forman at third singles and sophomore Ian Box at first singles, his 11th straight singles win. Junior Keith Feinman earned a three-set victory for the Greyhounds at fifth singles.

The Greyhounds have postponed their non-conference match versus Wilkes University for Sunday, April 13th due to rain expected to arrive around the starting time for the contest. The match has not been rescheduled at this time.

Vs. Drew University – Lost 5-4

Moravian suffered a 5-4 loss to Drew University in a Landmark Conference match at Hoffman Courts. The loss was the fifth straight for the Greyhounds. Moravian led 2-1 after doubles action with victories by the teams of sophomore Ian Box and junior Keith Feinman at first doubles and sophomore Chandler Forman and freshman Thoams Turcich at second doubles. However, the Greyhounds would win just two doubles matches with Box winning in straight sets at first singles and Turcich winning in three sets at fourth singles.

The Greyhounds dropped a 7-2 non-conference decision to King's College in a match at Hoffman Courts as Moravian fell for the fourth consecutive match. The Monarchs swept the three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead. The Greyhounds would win a pair of singles contests with sophomore Ian Box winning in straight sets at first singles and junior Keith Feinman capturing a straight sets win at fifth singles. Moravian sophomore Jason Bonilla returned to the line-up after missing a pair of matches to give the Greyhounds a full contingent of players.

Moravian lost its third straight match, falling at The University of Scranton, 6-3, in Landmark Conference action. The Royals led 2-1 after doubles action with the Greyhounds earning a win at first doubles from the team of sophomore Ian Box and junior Keith Feinman. Moravian received straight sets wins in singles action by Box and freshman Thomas Turcich. The Greyhounds trailed before the match even started having to give up two points becuase the team could only play with five players due to an injury by sophomore Jason Bonilla for a second consecutive match.

Vs. Goucher College – Won 6-3

Despite dropping a match to Goucher College in Landmark Conference action, Moravian has been awarded a 6-3 victory after the match result was overturned as the Greyhounds protested the match. The rule under protest was a switch in the Gophers line-up, moving a third singles player to first singles, a position he had not played this season and was the third singles player in the previous match. The final score of the match is reversed to show a 6-3 Moravian win while all of the individual matches will remain the same result as the day of competition. At Muhlenberg College – Lost 5-4

Moravian had its three-match winning streak snapped in a 5-4 loss to rival Muhlenberg College in non-conference action. The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after the doubles match with just an 8-2 win from the duo of junior Keith Feinman and sophomore Ian Box. However, Moravian won three of the first five singles matches to finish to tie the contest at 4-4. The Greyhounds had straight sets wins by Box and sophomore Chandler Forman and a three-set victory from freshman Thomas Turcich. The match came down to the second singles contest where Moravian sophomore Jason Bonilla was injured in the third set and forced to retire from the match, giving the Mules the win.

For the second time this season, Moravian has had its non-conference match at rival Muhlenberg College postponed, this time due to weather and wet courts. The contest has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in Allentown.

At United States Merchant Marine Academy – Won 9-0

The Greyhounds won their third straight match overall and improved to 2-1 in Landmark Conference action with a 9-0 sweep at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Moravian led after winning all three doubles matches with victories by the teams of sophomore Ian Box and junior Keith Feinman, sophomore Chandler Forman and freshman Thomas Turcich and sophomore Jason Bonilla and freshman Matthew Share. All six players would also earn straight sets singles wins for the Greyhounds.

Moravian won its first Landmark Conference match of the season, and its second straight match overall with a 7-2 victory over Susquehanna University at Hoffman Courts. The match was Moravian's first at Hoffman Courts this season. The Greyhounds led the contest, 3-0, after doubles action with victories by the tandems of sophomore Ian Box and junior Keith Feinman, sophomore Chandler Forman and freshman Thomas Turcich and sophomore Jason Bonilla and freshman Matthew Share. Box, Bonilla and Forman each had straight sets win in singles action for the Greyhounds while Turcich earned a three-set win for Moravian.

Moravian has had its non-conference match at rival Muhlenberg College postponed due to cold temperatures and wanting to play the match outdoors. The contest has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 1st at 5:00 p.m. in Allentown.

Vs. Michigan Technological University in Orlando, FL – Tied 3-3

The Greyhounds final match of their spring trip to Orlando, Florida, a non-conference contest versus NCAA Division II Michigan Technological University, was affected twice by the weather. The match was originally scheduled for 8:00 a.m. but was postponed until 5:00 p.m. due to water on the courts from rain overnight. Once the contest started, its was called due to rain with three singles matches still on the courts and the match tied at 3-3. Michigan Tech won doubles matches while Moravian had one doubles victory from the tandem of sophomore Chandler Forman and freshman Thomas Turcich. In singles action that was complete, Forman and freshman Matt Share had straight sets singles wins for the Greyhounds.

At 2007 ECAC South Open Championship hosted by Lehigh University – Tied for 8th of 10

Moravian participated in the ten-team 2007 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference South Open Championship hosted by Lehigh University. The Greyhounds finished in a tie for eighth place with a team score of eight points. The University of Delaware and Fairfield University tied for first with 15 points. Freshman Timothy Gillen won his first match of the tournament, defeating Drew Brandtsetter of Cabrini College in the quarterfinals of the third singles flight before falling to Chip Palumbo from Fairfield in the semifinals.

At Goucher College Fall Invitational – Individuals Results

The Greyhounds competed at the five-team Goucher College Fall Invitational with The Catholic University of America, Johns Hopkins University and The University of Scranton. There were no team scores and there were four singles flights and two doubles brackets.

The Greyhounds had one individual winner with freshman Timothy Gillen winning the championship match in the flight C singles bracket, with three victories. Freshman Thomas Turcich reached the championship of the flight D single bracket while sophomore Chandler Forman lost in the semifinals of the flight A bracket. In doubles action, Forman and Turcich won a pair of consolation matches in the flight B doubles bracket after dropping their first round match.

Moravian opened its 2007-08 season at the four-team Muhlenberg College Fall Classic with Elizabethtown College and Wilkes University. There were no team scores and the individuals played two singles and two doubles matches.

The Greyhounds had one individual winner with freshman Tim Gillen winning the championship match in the fifth singles flight. Moravian also had a doubles team capture the championship with junior Lee Gustin and freshman Thomas Turcich winning the third doubles bracket.
