Fourth seeded Moravian was knocked out of the 2005 Commonwealth Conference Tournament in a 30-13, 30-15, 30-19 loss to top seed and nationally-ranked Juniata College in a semifinal match. The Eagles, ranked second in the country this week, will host second seeded Lebanon Valley College, a 3-0 winner over Elizabethtown College in the other semifinal match, in the championship match. Junior outside hitter Kelly Bauer led Moravian with five kills and 16 digs while junior setter Valerie Korsak added 14 assists, ten digs and three kills. Senior middle hitter Lindsey Siracusa contributed four kills and two blocks while sophomore right side hitter Katherine Perkins had three blocks for the Greyhounds. Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Radocha added three kills and five digs while sophomore defensive specialist Christa Burke added two service aces. Moravian, which is now 21-10 on the season, will wait until Monday, November 7th to see if the program will receive its fourth Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southern Championship Tournament berth in the last five years.

Moravian suffered a 30-21, 30-20, 30-25 loss at Lebanon Valley College in the team’s final Commonwealth Conference match of the 2005 season. The victory clinches the Flying Dutchmen the second seed in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament which begins on November 2nd while the Greyhounds drop to the fourth seed for the tournament. The Greyhounds snapped a four-match losing streak and senior middle hitter Lindsey Siracusa became Moravian's all-time leader in kills as the team defeated host McDaniel College, 35-33, 30-17, 23-30, 30-23 in the final match of the 24th Annual Green Terror Invitational. Siracusa had 18 kills in the match to improve her career total to 1,520 kills, surpassing Kim Zipf's previous school record of 1,516. Siracusa also had five blocks in the victory. Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Radocha added 12 kills while junior outside hitter Kelly Bauer had 11 kills and 15 digs.
