Fifth seeded Moravian saw its 2006 season come to a close in a 27-30, 30-26, 30-22, 30-22 loss to fourth seed Franklin & Marshall College in the quarterfinals of the 2006 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference South Championships being hosted by New Jersey City University. Senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer led the Greyhounds in her final collegiate match with 16 kills, seven digs and a pair of service aces while senior setter Valerie Korsak had 33 assists, two kills and four digs in her final match. Sophomore outside hitter Maria DeBonis contributed 13 kills, seven digs and two service aces while junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace had six kills. Junior middle hitter Katherine Perkins had three kills and five blocks for Moravian while sophomore libero Stephanie Struble had a team high 11 digs to go with a pair of service aces. Senior defensive specialist Ashley Hugo had six digs in her final collegiate contest while freshman middle hitter Alison Whitaker had one kill for the Greyhounds.

At Elizabethtown College in Commonwealth Conference Semifinals – Lost 3-0 Box Score

The third seeded Greyhounds fell to second seed Elizabethtown College, 30-22, 30-20, 30-15, in a Commonwealth Conference semifinal. Senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer paced Moravian with 11 kills and six digs while senior setter Valerie Korsak had 25 assists. Senior defensive specialist Ashley Hugo and sophomore libero Stephanie Struble each had a team high 12 digs for the Greyhounds while sophomore outside hitter Maria DeBonis had seven kills, seven digs and two service aces. Junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace had five kills as the Greyhounds competed in the conference tournament for the ninth time in the last ten years.

Vs. York College of Pennsylvania – Lost 3-2 Box Score

Moravian dropped its final match of the 2006 regular season, falling to York College of Pennsylvania, 22-30, 17-30, 30-26, 30-19, 15-10 in a non-conference match in Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds won the first two games in the match before the Spartans rallied for three straight wins and the victory. Sophomore outside hitter Maria DeBonis led the Greyhounds with 22 kills, and she added six digs, two service aces and two blocks while senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer had 18 kills and 11 digs. Junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace had team highs of six blocks and four service aces for Moravian to go along with 13 kills while junior middle hitter Katherine Perkins contributed five kills. Senior setter Valerie Korsak had 45 assists for the Greyhounds while sophomore libero Stephanie Struble added a team high 19 digs to go with three service aces. Vs. Gwynedd-Mercy College – Cancelled

Moravian's non-conference match versus Gwynedd-Mercy College scheduled as the first part of a tri-match with York College of Pennsylvania for Saturday, October 28th has been cancelled. The contest will not be rescheduled this season, and Moravian's match with York has been moved up to a 1:00 p.m. start time.

Moravian's non-conference match versus The University of Scranton scheduled for Thursday, October 26th has been cancelled with the Royals needing to make-up a Freedom Conference match. The contest will not be rescheduled this season.

Vs. Lebanon Valley College – Won 3-1 Box Score

Moravian clinched the third seed in the 2006 Commonwealth Conference Tournament with a 30-20, 28-30, 30-28, 31-29 victory over Lebanon Valley College in the conference regular season finale in Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds will travel to Elizabethtown College, the second seed, for a semifinal match on November 1st. Senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer led the Greyhounds with 18 kills, nine digs, three service aces and three blocks while junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace contributed 14 kills and four blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Maria DeBonis had 11 kills, ten digs and a pair of blocks in the victory while senior setter Valerie Korsak had 53 assists to go with six digs and a pair of kills. Junior outside hitter Rachel Radocha added nine kills for the Greyhounds while junior middle hitter Katherine Perkins had five kills and three blocks. Sophomore libero Stephanie Struble served a team high four aces to go with eight digs while senior defensive specialist Ashley Hugo had a team high 11 digs. Junior defensive specialist Elise Martin added six digs and a service ace in the win. Natalie Goodfellow led Lebanon Valley with 21 kills and 18 digs while Margaret Prebula had 20 kills. Senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer led Moravian with 21 kills and she added 19 digs, two service aces and two blocks while sophomore outside hitter Maria DeBonis had 15 kills and 13 digs. Senior setter Valerie Korsak just missed her third triple-double of the season with 47 assists, 11 digs and nine kills while junior outside hitter Rachel Radocha contributed 13 kills and a pair of blocks. Junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace had 12 kills and four digs for the Greyhounds while junior middle hitter Katherine Perkins had five blocks and two kills. Sophomore libero Stephanie Struble had a team high 25 digs to go with a pair of service aces while junior defensive specialist Elise Martin added 13 digs.

Moravian earned a 27-30, 30-19, 30-25, 30-25 victory over Albright College in Commonwealth Conference action to clinch a berth in the 2006 Commonwealth Conference Tournament. The win snapped a five-match losing streak for the Greyhounds. Senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer led the Greyhounds with 21 kills, six digs, three service aces and two blocks while junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace contributed 20 kills. Senior setter Valerie Korsak ran the Moravian offense with 50 assists to go along with seven digs and three kills while junior outside hitter Rachel Radocha had 13 kills and six digs. Widener led the final game by as many as eight points, 21-13, and the Pioneers had a 28-22 lead when Greyhound senior defensive specialist Ashley Hugo took over the serve and scored eight straight points for the victory. Hugo finished the match with a team high five service aces, including one to win the match, and six digs. Senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer and junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace each had 13 kills for Moravian with Bauer adding ten digs and Wallace contributing five blocks. Senior setter Valerie Korsak had a triple-double for the Moravian in the loss with 49 assists, ten kills and ten digs. Sophomore outside hitter Maria DeBonis paced the Greyhounds with 15 kills, eight digs and three service aces while senior outside hitter Kelly Bauer and junior middle hitter Jenna Wallace each had 14 kills. Bauer also contributed ten digs and three service aces while Wallace had two blocks.
