2007 Review

The 2007 Moravian College volleyball squad posted a successful 18-13 overall record and finished in the newly created Landmark Conference with a 3-3 mark in league play under head coach Shelley Bauder, who finished her 15th season. The squad reached the Landmark Conference Semifinals before falling to defending national champion Juniata College.

Senior outside hitter Jenna Wallace (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) led the Greyhounds this season with 425 kills, 11 assists, 52 service aces, 266 digs, an 32 total blocks. Wallace became just the seventh player in Moravian College history to reach over 1,000 kills with a career total of 1,215 kills, which is fifth all-time. Senior outside hitter Rachel Radocha (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall HS) contributed 309 kills, 19 assists, 24 service aces, 303 digs and 21 blocks. Radocha was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team.

Junior setter Stephanie Struble (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees HS), pictured at right, had 1,035 assists, 53 kills, 45 service aces, 293 digs and 38 blocks, while freshman middle hitter Mary King (Paramus, NJ/ParamusHS) had 276 kills, 35 service aces, 70 digs, and a team leading 118 blocks. King was also named the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year.

Senior right side hitter Katherine Perkins (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton HS) had 175 kills, 39 service aces, 225 digs, and 41 blocks, while fellow senior defensive specialist/libero Elise Martin (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) led the team in digs with 476 of them, which is second all-time in a season for digs. Martin also had 57 service aces on the year. Freshmen middle hitter Christine Reeser (Telford, PA/Christopher Dock HS) contributed 129 kills, nine digs and 53 blocks in her season debut.

Freshman right side hitter Molly Duvall (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township HS) added 22 kills, and 42 digs while, freshman outside hitter Kelly Griffith (Cedar Knolls, NJ/Whippany Park HS) had five kills and 12 digs. Freshman setter Christine Poole (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central HS) contributed 67 assists and 25 digs in her season debut.

Radocha, Martin, and Perkins were all named to the 2007 Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
