At 2005 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Dickinson College - 28th of 42 - Moravian Individual Results

Moravian closed out its 2005 season with a 28th place finish of 42 teams at the 2005 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Dickinson College. The host Red Devils won the race with 27 points to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships next weekend at Ohio Wesleyan College. Senior Lauren Bahnatka paced the Greyhounds with a time of 24:58.3 on the 6,000-meter course, which placed her 82nd of the 293 runners. Senior Alexis Vergalla placed 121st in a time of 25:37.1 while freshman Naomie Kachel was 130th in 25:55.5. Rounding out the Moravian runners were sophomore Katie Pulizzano in 188th place with a time of 27:26.2, sophomore Nicole Sirico at 193rd in 27:36.5 and freshman Stephanie Miller in 203rd place in 27:55.8.

At 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College - 6th of 14 - Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds finished sixth of 14 schools at the 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College. Moravian had a team score of 157 while Messiah College won the meet with 50 points. Senior Lauren Bahnatka paced the Greyhounds and earned All-Conference Second Team honors with a 14th place finish among the 138 runners on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 24:39.06. Senior Alexis Vergalla placed 23rd at 25:15.25 while sophomore Krystyn Fenon took 39th place in 25:58.91. Freshman Naomie Kachel placed 40th overall in a time of 25:59.33 while classmate Stephanie Miller was 51st in 26:26.27. Sophomore Katie Pulizzano took 66th place for the Greyhounds with a time of 27:21.24 while sophomore Nicole Sirico was 74th in the race at 27:40.97. Sophomore Catelyn Savoth rounded out the Moravian competitors with a 131st place finish in a time of 33:49.74.

At DeSales University Invitational - 7th of 23 - Moravian Individual Results

Moravian placed seventh of 23 schools at the DeSales University Invitation in the team's final tune-up before the 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference Champions. The Greyhounds had a team score of 225 points while NCAA Division II Kutztown University won the meet with 33 points. Senior Lauren Bahnatka led Moravian with a 30th place finish in a time of 27:00.81 on the 6,000-meter course. Freshman Naomie Kachel placed 47th of the 245 runners in 27:32.89. Sophomore Krystyn Fenon took 57th place in a time of 27:45.03 while senior Alexis Vergalla was 58th in 27:47.88. Freshman Stephanie Miller took 77th in 28:30.84 while sophomore Nicole Sirico placed 83rd in a time of 28:36.99. Rounding out the Moravian competitors were senior Ellen Hansen in 90th place in a time of 28:58.85, sophomore Christina Roccamo at 115th in 29:49.43, junior Ashley McCuen in 200th place at 33:44.73 and sophomore Catelyn Savoth at 229th in a time of 36:34.84.

At Blue Jay Invitational hosted by Johns Hopkins University - 8th of 15 - Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds finished eighth of 15 schools at the Blue Jay Invitational hosted by Johns Hopkins University at a rain-soaked Oregon Ridge Park. Moravian had a team score of 212 points while NCAA Division I Towson University won the meet with a score of 45 points. Senior Lauren Bahnatka paced the Greyhounds with a 20th place finish on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 24:09.0. Sophomore Krystyn Fenon competed for the first time this fall for Moravian and was 37th of 162 runners in 24:43.0 while senior Alexis Vergalla placed 47th in a time of 24:59.0. Sophomore Katie Pulizzano finished 56th in the meet with a time of 25:14.0 while freshman Naomie Kachel took 60th in 25:21.0. Also competing for the Greyhounds were freshman Stephanie Miller, who placed 68th in a time of 25:31.0, junior Jennifer Connolly, who was 76th in 25:44.0, sophomore Nicole Sirico, who finished 107th with a time of 27:16.0, senior Ellen Hansen, who took 118th place in a time of 28:00.0, and sophomore Catelyn Savoth, who placed 142nd in 30:40.0.

At 2nd Annual Cougar Classic hosted by College Misericordia - 1st of 5 - Moravian Individual Results

Moravian earned a first place finish with a team score of 29 points at the 2nd Annual Cougar Classic hosted by College Misericordia. The Greyhounds won the five-team event by 15 points over rival Muhlenberg College. Senior Lauren Bahnatka paced the Greyhounds with a second place finish among the 46 runners on the 5,000-meter course in a time of 21:08.0. Senior Alexis Vergalla placed third in 21:00.0 while freshman Stephanie Miller took fourth in a time of 21:30.0. Freshman Naomie Kachel finished sixth for the Greyhounds in 21:35.0 while sophomore Katie Pulizzano rounded out the top five for the team with an 11th place finish in 21:55.0 Sophomore Nicole Sirico took 22nd place in 23:07 while classmate Catelyn Savoth was 38th overall in 26:31.0. Also competing for Moravian were senior Alicia Hernandez, who placed 41st in 27:03.0, and junior Ivy Walker, who took 44th place with a time of 27:53.0.

At Mule/Falcon Classic hosted by Muhlenberg College  - 2nd of 12 - Moravian Individual Results

The Greyhounds returned to action after a week off with a second place finish at the Mule/Falcon Classic hosted by Muhlenberg College and run at Cedar Crest College. Moravian had a score of 56 points, just 13 points behind rival Muhlenberg, which won the meet with 43 points. Senior Lauren Bahnatka led the Greyhounds with a tenth place finish in a time of 21:52.6 on the 5,000-meter course. Sophomore Katie Pulizzano finished 11th of the 118 competitors in a time of 22:01.3 while senior Alexis Vergalla placed 14th in 22:16.80. Rounding out the Moravian top seven were freshman Stephanie Miller in 16th place at 22:25.6, junior Jennifer Connelly at 17th place in a time of 22:26.1, freshman Naomie Kachel in 21st position in 22:34.5 and sophomore Christina Roccamo finishing 22nd in a time of 22:38.2. Also competing for the Greyhounds were junior Ashley McCuen, who took 42nd in 23:45.6, sophomore Nicole Sirico, who was 43rd in 23:46.8, sophomore Catelyn Savoth, who finished 82nd in a time of 26:35.9, and freshman Kelly Williams, who placed 104th in 30:05.9.

At 2005 Lehigh Valley Championships at Lehigh University  - 5th of 5 - Moravian Individual Results

The Moravian College women's cross country team opened the 2005 season with a fifth place finish at the 2005 Lehigh Valley Championships run on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. The Greyhounds had 126 points while the host Mountain Hawks won the meet with 19 points. The Greyhounds, running without their top two runners, were led by sophomore Katie Pullizzano, who placed 21st of 59 competitors on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 25:34. Senior Lauren Bahnatka finished 29th in 25:55 while freshman Naomi Kachel was 40th in a time of 26:45. Senior Alexis Vergalla took 41st place at 26:57 while junior Jennifer Connelly placed 44th for the Greyhounds at 27:18. Freshman Stephanie Miller ran a time of 27:26 while junior Ashley McCuen placed 50th in 28:12. Also competing for Moravian were sophomore Caitlin Savoth, who was 51st in 28:28, and freshman Kelly Williams, who took 56th place in a time of 30:21.
