At 2008 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Waynesburg College - 26th of 44 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

Moravian closed out the 2008 season with a 26th place finish of 44 schools at the 2008 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Waynesburg College. Johns Hopkins University took the top spot with 80 points while Moravian had a team score of 644.  Freshman Hailey Neff paced the Greyhounds with a 56th place finish among 305 runners with a time of 24:20 on the 6,000-meter course.  Freshman Kristina Ruggiero was 100th in the race in 25:09 while freshman Megan Hallowell took 158th in a time of 26:05.  Rounding out the Moravian top five were senior Kelly Williams in 176th place in 26:29 and freshman Cadee Rockwell finishing one spot back at 177th in a time of 26:30.  The Greyhounds’ other two runners were freshman Katie Engwall, who placed 233rd in 28:08, and freshman Katie Pritchett, who took 291st in 31:56.

At 2008 Landmark Conference Championships at Fort Roberdeau hosted by Juniata College - 5th of 8 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

The Greyhounds placed fifth of eight schools at the 2008 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College at the Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Altoona. Moravian had a team score of 88 points while Susquehanna won the conference title with 40 points and the host Eagles were second with 61 points. The Greyhounds had three All-Conference runners with freshman Hailey Neff earning Landmark All-Conference First Team honors with a sixth place finish of 77 runners on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 24:22.6. Senior Kelly Williams placed 11th in a time fo 24:45.6 while freshman Kristina Ruggiero was eight seconds back at 24:53.3 to finish 12th as the duo earned Landmark All-Conference Second Team accolades. Moravian's top five runners also included freshman Megan Hallowell in 29th place with a time of 26:22.5 and senior Naomie Kachel at 32nd overall in 26:57.5 The Greyhounds had five other runners compete in the meet with freshman Cadee Rockwell finishing 42nd in a time of 27:52.0, freshman Katie Engwall taking 45th in 28:11.9, sophomore Kaleen Holden at 47th place in a time of 28:21.7, senior Stephanie Miller in 66th position in 30:25.9 and freshman Katie Pritchett at 75th in 32:12.0.

At Pete Nevins Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania - 4th of 10 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

Moravian finished third of eight teams at the Pete Nevins Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. The meet is named for long-time East Stroudsburg Sports Information Director Pete Nevins, who passed away in January 2006. The Greyhounds posted a team score of 88 while the host Warriors won the meet with 34 points. Senior Kelly Williams paced Moravian on the 5,000-meter course with a third place finish in a time of 20:30 among the 56 runners in the meet. Freshman Megan Hallowell was tenth in the race in a time of 21:11 while senior Naomie Kachel was 18th in 21:50. Freshman Katie Engwall took 20th in 22:03 while freshman Katie Pritchett was 47th in a time of 26:02 to round of the Greyhound competitors.

At Juniata College Eagle Invitational at Fort Roberdeau - 5th of 9 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

The Greyhounds placed fifth of nine schools at the Juniata College Eagle Invitational at Fort Roberdeau in Blair Country. Moravian had a team score of 101 while Susquehanna University took first place with 30 points. Freshman Kristina Ruggiero led the Greyhounds with a 12th place finish of 82 runners on the 5,000-meter course in a time of 20:49.0. Freshman Hailey Neff placed 17th overall in a time of 21:08.9 while senior Kelly Williams took 19th in 21:12.2. Rounding out the Moravian top five were freshman Cadee Rockwell in 25th place in a time of 21:40.9 and freshman Megan Hallowell at 28th in 21:45.5. The Greyhounds had two other competitors with freshman Katie Engwall taking 35th in 22:16 and senior Stephanie Miller placing 65th in a time of 24:37.6.

At 35th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University - Tied for 19th of 37 (White) - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results (White) - Complete Meet Results (JV)

Moravian tied for 19th of 37 teams in the white division of the 35th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. The Greyhounds had 559 points in the race to tie with Misericordia University while SUNY Cortland won the white invitational with 102 points. The meet, which draws the top teams from around the country, features a brown division, a white division and a junior varsity race since teams can only enter seven runners in the two scored divisions. Freshman Hailey Neff led Moravian with a 68th place finish of 260 runners in the white division with a time of 23:49 on the 6,000-meter course. Freshman Cadee Rockwell was 105th in a time of 24:23 while freshman Kristina Ruggiero finished 115th in 24:33. Senior Kelly Williams took 120th place in a time of 24:38 while freshman Megan Hallowell was 166th in 25:44 and sophomore Kaleen Holden took 184th at 26:16. Moravian also had three runners in the junior varsity race with freshman Katie Engwall finished 276th of 368 runners with a time of 26:00. Senior Stephanie Miller was 298th at 26:34 while senior Naomie Kachel took 308th place in a time of 26:58.

At Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University - 3rd of 9 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

Moravian placed third of nine teams at the 2008 Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University. The Greyhounds had a team score of 94 points, just one point behind the host Cougars and one point ahead of Landmark Conference rival the University of Scranton. Ithaca College won the meet with a team score of 28 points. Freshman Cadee Rockwell led the Greyhounds with a 13th place finish of 93 runners on the 5,000-meter course in a time of 20:16. Freshman Kristina Ruggiero took 18th in 20:37 while senior Kelly Williams finished one spot back in 19th place in a time of 20:40. Rounding out the Greyhounds' top five were freshman Hailey Neff in 21st place with a time of 20:49 and sophomore Sydni Wisniewski in 34th place in 21:29. Freshman Megan Hollawell was 36th in the meet for the Greyhounds with a time of 21:38 while sophomore Kaleen Holden was 39th in 21:40. Rounding out the Moravian runners were senior Naomie Kachel in 41st place in a time of 21:48, senior Stephanie Miller in 46th place in 22:04, freshman Katie Engwall at 53rd in 22:25 and freshman Katie Pritchett in 86th place with a time of 28:12.

At Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania - 3rd of 4 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

The Greyhounds earned a third place finish of four schools at the Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Moravian had a team score of 80 while the host Huskie won the meet with 24 points. Freshman Cadee Rockwell paced the Greyhounds with a tenth place finish of 46 runners on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 25:17. Freshman Hailey Neff placed 15th in 25:50 while freshman Kristina Ruggiero was 16th in 25:55 and senior Kelly Williams finished 17th in a time of 25:58. Rounding out Moravian's top five was sophomore Sydni Wisniewski in 27th place with a time of 26:58 while freshman Katie Engwall posted a time of 27:02 to finish 28th. Also competing for the Greyhounds were freshman Megan Hallowell, who was 33rd in 27:30, sophomore Kaleen Holden, who took 34th place in 27:46, senior Naomie Kachel, who finished 37th in a time of 28:15, senior Stephanie Miller, who was 42nd in 29:24, and freshman Katie Pritchett, who placed 45th in 33:07.

Moravian opened the 2008 season with a fifth place finish at the 2008 Lehigh Valley Championships run on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. The Greyhounds posted a team score of 128 points, just one point behind Muhlenberg Colege while the host Mountain Hawks won the meet with 27 points. Freshman Kristina Ruggiero led the Greyhounds on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 24:25 to place 32nd of 60 runners. Sophomore Tara Chiarella was 33rd in 24:31 while freshman Hailey Neff took 38th in a time of 25:00. Senior Kelly Williams was 43rd in the race in 25:46 while freshman Katie Engwall rounded out the Greyhound top five with a 48th place finish in 26:26. Senior Stephanie Miller was 50th overall in a time of 26:38 while freshman Megan Hallowell was 53rd in 27:03. Sophomore Kaleen Holden ran a time of 27:28 for the Greyhounds to finish 57th while senior Naomie Kachel was 58th in 27:40. Sophomore Sydni Wisniewski was 59th in her first collegiate cross country race in a time of 28:07 while freshman Katie Pritchett was 60th in 32:53.
