At 2010 NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by Wartburg College - Individual Only - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

            Moravian College junior Cadee Rockwell competed for the first time in the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet hosted by Wartburg College Saturday on the Max Cross Country Course.

            Rockwell placed 136th of 279 runners in the 6,000-meter women’s race with a time of 22:42.0.

            Wendy Pavlus of St. Lawrence University won the individual title with a time of 20:49.3, and Middlebury College won the team title with 187 points, just six points ahead of Washington University in St. Louis. Moravian did not score in the meet with Rockwell as the team's only entrant.

At 2010 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Carnegie Mellon University at Cooper's Lake Campground, Slippery Rock, PA  - 16th of 45 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Individual Results - Complete Meet Team Results

           The Moravian College women’s cross country team 16th in the 2010 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by Carnegie Mellon University at Cooper’s Lake Campground outside of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, Saturday to close out the 2010 season. The Greyhounds were 16th of 45 schools with 470 points while Johns Hopkins University was first with 68 points.

            In the women’s race, junior Cadee Rockwell, pictured at right, earned All-Region accolades with a 17th place finish of 314 runners on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 22:53.9.  Senior Tara Chiarella was 73rd in the race with a time of 24:25.8 while junior Kristina Ruggiero placed 80th in 25:37.3. Rounding out the top five for Moravian were freshman Jennifer Smilgis is 128th place with a time of 25:30.0 and freshman Jennifer Parodi in 180th in 26:18.4. 

            Also competing for Moravian were junior Megan Hallowell, who took 199th in a time of 26:46.6, and junior Holly Fleming , who was 255th in 28:19.4.

 

At 2010 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Goucher College  - 5th of 7 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

           The Moravian College women's cross country team placed fifth of seven teams at the 2010 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Goucher College after scoring 92 points as just 50 points separated the top six spots.  Susquehanna University also won the women’s race with 51 points while The University of Scranton was second with 74 points.

            Junior Cadee Rockwell, pictured at right, paced Moravian with a third place finish on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 23:32.0 to earn Landmark All-Conference First Team Honors among the 71 runners.  Junior Kristina Ruggiero was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team with a 14th place finish in a time of 24:42.4 while senior Tara Chiarella missed all-conference honors by six seconds with a 16th place showing in 24:48.7.  Rounding out Moravian’s top five runners were freshman Jennifer Smiglis in 24th place with a time of 25:26.6 and freshman Jennifer Parodi in 37th place at 26:22.4.

            Also running for the Greyhound women were junior Holly Fleming, who placed 48th in 27:03.7, junior Megan Hallowell, who finished 49th in a time of 27:05.7, sophomore Emma Pacheco, who was 52nd in 27:34.3, and senior Kaleen Holden, who took 53rd in 27:40.9.

At Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette College  - 7th of 8 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

           The Moravian College women’s cross country team placed seventh of eight schools at the Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette College. The Greyhounds had a team score of 176 while the host Leopards won the meet with 48 points. Of the eight schools, four were NCAA Division I institutions. 

           Greyhound junior Cadee Rockwell, pictured at right, led the squad with a tenth place finish among the 78 runners with a time of 22:32.30, the 20th fastest time in school history, on the 6,000-meter course.  Senior Tara Chiarella placed 25th in a time of 23:29.90 while junior Kristina Ruggiero was 38th in 23:58.60.  Rounding out Moravian’s top five were senior Kaleen Holden in 62nd place with a time of 25:40.80 and junior Holly Fleming taking 64th place in 26:00.80. Also competing for the Greyhounds were freshman Jen Parodi, who placed 65th in 26:03.70, sophomore Emma Pacheco, who finished 68th in a time of 26:21.60, and junior Megan Hallowell, who was 71st in 27:15.30.

At DeSales University Invitational - 6th of 21 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

           The Moravian College women’s cross country team was sixth of 21 schools with a team score of 182 points, two points behind Saint Vincent College.  NCAA Division II Kutztown University of Pennsylvania won the meet with a score of 43 points. 

           Greyhound junior Cadee Rockwell led the squad with an eighth place finish among the 198 runners with a time of 23:43.97 on the 6,000-meter course.  Senior Tara Chiarella placed 19th in a time of 24:37.19 while junior Kristina Ruggiero was 32nd in 25:11.96.  Rounding out Moravian’s top five were freshman Jennifer Smilgis in 45th place with a time of 25:44.26 and freshman Jennifer Parodi taking 105th in 27:54.92.  Junior Holly Fleming finished two spots back in 107th in a time of 28:03.27 while sophomore Emma Pacheco was 138th at 29:05.56.  Junior Megan Hallowell finished 164th in 30:29.81.

At 37th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University - 12th of 36 White - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

           The Moravian College women’s cross country team finished 12th of 36 teams in the brown race at the 37th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. The Greyhounds had a team score of 314 while Swarthmore College won the race with 92 points. Georgetown University won the Gold race while Rutgers University won the Brown race as 122 teams and 1,034 runners competed in the three 6,000-meter races.

           Junior Cadee Rockwell led the Greyhound women with a 13th place finish of 280 runners in the White race in a time of 23:07.  Senior Tara Chiarella, pictured at right, was 37th in the race with a time of 24:02 while junior Kristina Ruggiero placed 50th in 24:18. Freshman Jennifer Smiglis was 69th in 24:46 while junior Holly Fleming was 157th in a time of 26:43 to round out the Moravian runners.

 

At 2010 Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational  - 6th of 22 on Long Course - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

           The Moravian College women’s cross country team placed sixth on the long course at the 2010 Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational Saturday. In the women’s race, the Greyhounds scored 80 points in the 6,000-meter long course, which placed them sixth of 22 teams.  The host Red Devils won the long course with 25 points while Shippensburg University won the combined score at 43.  Moravian did not have a runner in the 4,000-meter race so the Greyhounds did not score in the combined team scores.

           Junior Cadee Rockwell, pictured at right, led the Greyhound women with a sixth place finish of 142 runners on the 6,000-meter course in a time of 23:26.  Junior Kristina Ruggiero was 34th in 24:49 while senior Tara Chiarella rounded out the Greyhound scorers in 46th place in a time of 25:12.  Senior Kaleen Holden was 89th in the race in a time of 27:08 while freshman Jennifer Parodi finished 92nd in 27:19.  Rounding out the Moravian runners were junior Holly Fleming in 99th place in 27:47 and sophomore Emma Pacheco in 126th at 29:41.

At 2010 Lehigh University Invitational  - 8th of 9 - Moravian Individual Results - Complete Meet Results

            The Moravian College women's cross country squad opened the 2010 season with an eighth place finish at the 2010 Lehigh University Invitational run on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. The Greyhounds posted a team score of 195 points while the United States Naval Academy won the meet with 35 points.

            Junior Cadee Rockwell, pictured at right, paced Moravian with a time of 23:43.4 on the 6,000-meter course to place 20th overall of 104 runners. Senior Tara Chiarella was 36th in a time of 24:30.5 while freshman Jennifer Parodi took 83rd in 27:46.9. Rounding out the Greyhound runners were junior Holly Fleming in 84th place with a time of 28:11.8, senior Kaleen Holden at 85th in 29:01.6 and sophomore Emma Pacheco in 92nd in 30:11.1.
