The Greyhounds actually led the match, 6-5, at halftime. Sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani and freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino each had three goals with Cordani adding ten caused turnovers. Sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly found the back of the net twice while senior midfielder Kaity Cerco had two assists in her final collegiate game. Junior goalie Hayley Zamek had ten saves in the match.

The Greyhounds fell to Haverford College, 12-5, in their final non-conference match of the season. Moravian, which trailed 11-1 at halftime, actually out-scored the Fords in the second half, 4-1. Sophomore midfielders Shannon Kelly and Jess Cordani each had two goals for Moravian while freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino added a goal. Junior keeper Hayley Zamek made ten saves for the Greyhounds.

Moravian dropped its final home match of the season to Widener University, 14-6 in a Middle Atlantic Conference match. The Greyhounds were held scoreless in the first half but would cut the Pioneers lead to 9-6 with just under five minutes remaining in the match. However, Widener scored five unanswered goals to close out the contest. Freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino netted three goals for the Greyhounds while sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani had two goals to go with eight caused turnovers. Sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly found the back of the net once while senior midfielder Kaity Cerco had one assist in her final home match. Junior goalie Hayley Zamek made 13 saves for Moravian.

The Greyhounds suffered an 18-4 loss to Messiah College in Middle Atlantic Conference action. Moravian had goals from freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino, senior attack Lindsay Murphy, sophomore defender Rebecca Schol and sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly. Schol also had an assist in the match while junior goalie Hayley Zamek made seven saves for the Greyhounds.

Moravian won its first Commonwealth Conference match of the season defeating Wilkes University 13-12 in overtime. Sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani scored a goal with 38 seconds left in overtime to get the win. For the Hounds, Cordani scored six goals, freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino had four goals, senior midfielder Kaity Cerco added two goals and sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly found the back of the net once. Cordani and sophomore Lauren Johnston added an assist for the Greyhounds. Moravian's overall record is 2-8 and 1-6 in the conference.

Sophomore midfielders Shannon Kelly and Jess Cordani and freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino each had four goals, with Kelly having three assists, and Cordani and Lustrino each contributing one assist. Senior attack Lindsay Murphy had the other goal for the Greyhounds, while senior midfielder Kaity Cerco contributed two assists. Moravian jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 3:59 of the match before the Devils tied the score at 4-4. The Greyhounds would lead 5-4 at halftime and take a 6-4 lead early in the second half. However, FDU-Florham scored six unanswered goals in the final 10:03 of the match for the victory. The Greyhounds had two goals and an assist from freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino, and a goal and an assist by sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly. Junior goalie Hayley Zamek made 12 saves in the match for the Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds dropped their second straight Middle Atlantic Conference match, falling to the University of Scranton, 18-3. Moravian, playing for the first time in ten days, scored once in the first half and twice in the second half. Sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani scored two goals for Greyhounds with one coming on a free position shot. Freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino scored Moravian's other goal. Junior goalie Hayley Zamek made 17 saves for the Greyhounds.

Vs. Lycoming College - Postponed until April 9th

Moravian's first home Middle Atlantic Conference match of the season versus Lycoming College has been postponed by snow covering the field. The contest has been rescheduled for Friday, April 9th, however, a starting time is still to be determined for the match.

 

At Haverford College - Postponed until April 22nd

The Greyhounds non-conference match at Haverford College has been postponed by snow and class conflicts. The contest has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 22nd at 4:00 p.m.

 

At Susquehanna University - Lost 14-4       Boxscore

Moravian began its 2004 Middle Atlantic Conference season with a 14-4 loss at Susquehanna University. The Greyhounds, who scored the first goal of the match just 36 seconds into the contest, trailed just 5-3 at halftime but the Crusaders would find the back of the net nine times in the second half. Sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly had two goals for the Greyhounds while senior midfielder Kaity Cerco had a goal and an assist and sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani scored one goal. Junior goalie Hayley Zamek made a career high 15 saves in goal for the Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds captured their first-ever victory as an NCAA women's lacrosse program with a 12-6 non-conference win over Cedar Crest College. Moravian led 8-3 at halftime and scored the first three goals of the match. Sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani and freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino each had four goals for Moravian. Senior midfielder Kaity Cerco added two goals while sophomore defender Rebecca Schol and senior attack Lindsay Murphy each found the back of the net one time. Sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly added two assists for the Greyhounds. Junior goalie Hayley Zamek had six saves in her second collegiate start for the victory. Junior attack Brianne O'Neill led Cedar Crest with four goals.

Vs. Muhlenberg College - Lost 21-7    Boxscore

Moravian played its first-ever NCAA women's lacrosse match on campus to open its 2004 season, falling to rival Muhlenberg College, 21-7. The Greyhounds played their entire 2003 season away from home due to field conditions. Moravian fell behind, 1-0 in the first minute of action, before freshman attack Lindsay Lustrino scored her first collegiate goal to tie the match in the second minute. Lustrino finished the match with two goals for the Greyhounds. Sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani had four goals while sophomore midfielder Shannon Kelly found the back of the net once. Senior midfielder Kaity Cerco contributed an assist for Moravian while junior Hayley Zamek played her first career game in goal after being a midfielder last season. Zamek had five saves in the match.
