Moravian trailed 6-2 just past the midway point of the first half but would score 9 of the next 11 goals to take an 11-8 lead with 18 minutes remaining in the contest. However, the Blue Jays scored the final five goals, including two in the final 34 seconds for the victory. Junior midfielder Jessica Cordani led Moravian with five goals and an assist while sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino had four goals. Freshman midfielder Erica Spatz contributed two goals, and she had a team high six draw controls. Lustrino led the Greyhounds with five ground balls while Spatz scooped up four ground balls. Sophomore goalie Jennifer Gassner made seven saves in the match, and she also had four ground balls.

The Greyhounds rallied from a 9-5 halftime deficit by scoring eight straight goals in a 15-11 victory over Neumann College in a non-conference match at the HUB Quad. Moravian snapped a four-match losing streak with the victory. The Greyhounds took a quick 1-0 lead and were up 2-1 before Neumann took control of the first half. After the intermission, Moravian scored four times in the first 4:28 of the second half to tie the contest at 9-9, and the Greyhounds held the Knights scoreless for nearly 22 minutes to start the second half. Sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino led Moravian with four goals and two assists while freshman attack Kellie Barnes found the back of the cage four times. Junior midfielder Jessica Cordani added three goals for the Greyhounds while freshman midfielder Erica Spatz tallied two goals. Sophomore midfielder Elizabeth Bedford and junior attack Rebecca Schol each had goals for Moravian with Bedford's goal being the first of her career and the game-winner off of a free position shot. Moravian's non-conference match at Gwynedd-Mercy College has been postponed one day until Thursday, April 7th at 4:00 p.m. due to the Greyhounds needing to play a Middle Atlantic Conference match on Wednesday, April 6th.

At Lycoming College - Postponed to April 6th

The Greyhounds' Middle Atlantic Conference match at Lycoming College for Saturday, April 2nd has been postponed due to heavy rain and poor field conditions. The contest has been rescheduled Wednesday, April 6th at 4:30 p.m. in Williamsport.

Vs. Wilkes University - Won 18-9     Boxscore

Moravian won its first Middle Atlantic Conference match of the 2005 season, defeating Wilkes University, 18-9, on the HUB Quad. The Greyhounds broke a 2-2 tie midway through the first half and led 9-4 at the intermission. Moravian's lead would reach 11 goals midway through the second half before the Colonels closed within eight goals in the final ten minutes. The Greyhounds had a 30-19 advantage in shots, a 37-26 edge in ground balls and a 17-14 advantage in draw controls. Junior midfielder Jessica Cordani led Moravian with eight goals while sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino had five goals and an assist. Freshman midfielder Erica Spatz contributed four goals and an assist for the Greyhounds while freshman attack Victoria Alston scored her first goal of the year. Spatz led Moravian with seven draw controls while Lustrino scooped up a team high six ground balls. Sophomore goalie Jennifer Gassner made five saves for the Greyhounds to earn her second win of the season.

The Pioneers jumped out to an 8-2 halftime lead, and Widener had a 28-12 advantage in shots. Junior midfielder Jessica Cordani and sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino each scored two goals for Moravian while freshman attack Kellie Barnes found the back of the cage once. Cordani, freshman midfielder Erica Spatz and sophomore defender Jenna Abramson each had two draw controls for the Greyhounds while junior attack Rebecca Schol led the team with three ground balls. Junior attack Rebecca Schol added two goals and an assist while freshman attack Kellie Barnes tallied two goals. Freshman midfielder Erica Spatz had a goal and an assist in the win for Moravian. Spatz paced the Greyhounds with seven draw controls while Lustrino had four draw controls. Spatz and sophomore defender Jenna Abramson each had a team high four ground balls in the victory. Sophomore goalie Jennifer Gassner made eight saves in the victory, the first of her collegiate career in her first season with the Greyhounds.

Moravian opened its 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference season with a 12-5 loss to Susquehanna University on the HUB Quad. The Crusaders jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Moravian scored. Susquehanna then scored the next five goals before the Greyhounds added a tally late in the first half for a 7-2 Susquehanna halftime lead. Moravian would pull within 10-5 midway through the second half, but Susquehanna scored two late goals to seal the victory. The Crusaders had a 29-15 advantage on shots. For the Greyhounds, freshman attack Kellie Barnes netted three second half goals while freshman midfielder Erica Spatz and sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino each had goals for Moravian. Junior defender Lauren Johnston had a team high six ground balls for Moravian while junior midfielder Jess Cordani had four ground balls. Sophomore defender Jenna Abramson won two draw controls for the Greyhounds while sophomore goalie Jennifer Gassner made 11 saves in the match.

The Greyhounds dropped their first road contest of the 2005 season, falling to rival Muhlenberg College, 17-5, in a evening match at Scotty Wood Stadium in Allentown. The Mules led 12-2 at halftime. Moravian received two goals from junior midfielder Jess Cordani while sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino, freshman midfielder Erica Spatz and freshman attack Kellie Barnes each netted goals for the Greyhounds with Spatz scoring on a free position shot. Freshman attack Robyn Klem led Moravian with four ground balls while Spatz and Lustrino each had three draw controls. Freshman Jennifer Gassner made 14 saves in the match for Moravian. The win give Muhlenberg a 9-4 lead in the Annual Matte Award Standings and clinches a tie for the Mules.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead and held a 4-2 advantage 8:37 into the contest before the Garnet Tide rallied for a 6-5 halftime lead. Swarthmore took control of the match with five goals in the first 4:03 of the second half and out-scored the Greyhounds 8-2 after the intermission. Junior midfielder Jessica Cordani led Moravian with three goals while sophomore attack Lindsey Lustrino had two goals, including the first goal of the season for Moravian. Freshman midfielder Erica Spatz had a goal in her collegiate debut with the Greyhounds, and she led the team with eight ground balls. Swarthmore had a 34-16 advantage on shots and a 49-36 edge in ground balls during the game. Moravian sophomore goalie Jennifer Gassner had 15 saves in her debut with the Greyhounds.
