Moravian had two competitors at the NYC Qualifying Challenge - Last
Chance Meet hosted by the NYC Armory Track Association at Icahn Stadium.
Junior Kelly Applegate placed second in the shot put with a toss of
12.76 meters (41 feet, seven inches) while junior Erin Recker took ninth
in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.77 seconds.

The Greyhounds saw their string of 13 straight Middle Atlantic Conference
Outdoor Championships come to a close as Moravian tied for fourth with
Juniata College at 89 points in the 2006 MAC Championships hosted by
Widener University. Messiah College captured the title with 179.5 points.
Moravian had one individual champion on the final day of the three-day
meet with junior Erin Recker capturing the 100-meter dash in a school
record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 12.26 seconds.
Recker also placed second in the 200-meter dash in a school record and
NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 25.17 seconds, and
she joined juniors Kathleen McCarron, Suzanne Tamlyn and Amy Reehil
to place second in the 4x100-meter relay in an NCAA Division III provisional
qualifying time of 48.67 seconds.
Tamlyn placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 12.91 seconds, and she
was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 26.41 seconds. Reehil was sixth in
the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.94 seconds, and Reehil finished 2nd
in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:06.34. Senior Rebecca Moore
placed seventh in the 100-meter dash in 13.11 seconds, and she was fifth
in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:08.10. Freshman Rachelle Elneus placed
eighth in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.62 while sophomore Theresa Zataveski
took sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.83 seconds.
In field events on the final day of the meet, junior Kelly Applegate
placed third in the javelin throw with a distance if 37.14 meters (121
feet, ten inches) while junior Tammy Balliet finished third in the hammer
throw with a toss of 38.16 meters (125 feet, two inches). McCarron was
11th in the long jump with a leap of 4.49 meters (14 feet, 8 3/4 inches)
while Zataveski placed 12th at 4.44 meters (14 feet, seven inches).
Senior Alexis Vergalla placed 14th in the 1,500-meter run for the Greyhounds
in a time of 5:22.46 while freshman Naomie Kachel was 20th in the event
in 5:29.87. Freshman Kelly Williams was 15th in the 5,000-meter run
with a time of 20:24.68 while senior Lauren Bahnatka took 21st place
in 21:03.41.
At 2006 Middle Atlantic
Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Widener University 6th
of 8 (Second Day Results)
Moravian is in sixth place after the second day of the 2006 Middle
Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships being hosted by Widener University
with a team total of 23 points. Messiah College is in first place with
69.5 points while the host Pioneers are second with 58.5 points. The
Greyhounds top individual finish on the second day of competition was
by junior Kelly Applegate, who placed second in the shot put with a
toss of 12.82 meters (42 feet, 3/4 inch). Applegate was also fifth in
the discus throw with a distance of 33.04 meters (108 feet, five inches).
Junior Tammy Balliet earned a seventh place in the shot put with a toss
of 10.56 meters (34 feet, 7 3/4 inches).
Senior Lauren Bahnatka placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase
in a time of 12:23.11 while senior Alexis Vergalla was seventh in 12:47.74
and junior Jennifer Connolly was 11th in 14:03.45. Sophomore Theresa
Zataveski took seventh in the heptathlon with a two-day point total
of 2,929 including 1,112 points in the final three events competed on
the second day.
In preliminary events, junior Erin Recker tied her own school record
in the 100-meter dash with an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying
time of 12.33 to finish first and move into the final. Recker was also
first in the 200-meter dash in 25.55 seconds, and she joined juniors
Suzanne Tamlyn, Kathleen McCarron and Amy Reehil to place first in the
preliminaries of the 4x100-meter relay in 48.91 seconds. Tamlyn was
fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.93 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter
dash at 26.56 seconds to move onto the finals of both events while Reehil
moved on in the 100-meter dash at a time of 13.04 seconds and the 400-meter
hurdles with a third place finish in 1:06.99. Senior Rebecca Moore placed
fifth in the 100-meter dash in 13.01 seconds and fifth in the 400-meter
hurdles in 1:09.35 to advance in each race while freshman Rachel Elneus
was eighth in the 400-meter das in 1:04.51 to move to the championship.
Zataveski reached the finals of the 100-meter hurdles with a seventh
place time of 16.89 seconds.
McCarron ran a time of 13.31 seconds in the 100-meter dash preliminaries,
but placed 11th and did not move on. Freshman Katarina Birle was 18th
in both the 100-meter dash in 14.00 seconds and the 200-meter dash in
29.10 seconds.
At 2006 Middle Atlantic
Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Widener University First
Day Results
The Greyhounds had three student-athletes compete on the first day
of the three-day 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships
hosted by Widener University. Freshman Kelly Williams took 12th in the
10,000-meter run in a time of 42:47.91 while sophomore Katie Pulizzano
placed 16th at 44:20.47. In the heptathlon, sophomore Theresa Zataveski
was in sixth place with a point total of 1,817 after the first four
events. She was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.05 seconds
to earn 591 points, and Zataveski took fifth in the 200-meter dash in
28.88 seconds for 563 points. Zataveski placed eighth in the high jump,
clearing a height of 1.26 meters (four feet, 1 1/2 inches) to earn 369
points, and she was eighth in the shot put with a toss of 6.35 meters
(20 feet, 10 inches) worth 294 points.
At Lehigh University Games

Individual Results
Moravian placed seventh of seven teams at the Lehigh University Games
in the team's final tune up for the before the conference championship
meet. The Greyhounds had a team score of 14 points while NCAA Division
II Kutztown University of Pennsylvania won the invitational with 154.5
points. Moravian's top individual performance was by junior Kelly Applegate,
who placed second in the shot put with a toss of 12.73 meters (41 feet,
9 1/4 inches). Junior Tammy Balliet took ninth in the shot put at 9.72
meters (31 feet, 10 3/4 inches), and she was eighth in the hammer throw
with a toss of 38.08 meters (124 feet, 11 1/2 inches).
In track events, senior Alexis Vergalla placed fourth in the 3,000-meter
steeplechase in a time of 12:34.67. Freshman Rachelle Elneus was tenth
in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:02.47 while classmate Katarina
Birle was 16th in the 200-meter dash in 28.40 seconds. Freshman Naomie
Kachel took 24th in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:28.93.

Moravian competed in the Lafayette College Leopard Invitational hosted
at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania due to construction at
Lafayette. The Greyhounds had a dual winner in junior Erin Recker, who
won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.46 seconds and the 200-meter
dash in 25.51 seconds. Moravian's 4x100-meter relay team of Recker,
senior and Rebecca Moore and juniors Kathleen McCarron and Amy Reehil
placed third in 49.23 seconds.
Moore was eighth in the 100-meter dash in 13.43 seconds while freshman
Rachelle Elneus took 11th at 13.65 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Elneus
was eighth in 27.62 seconds while freshman Katarina Birle finished 14th
in a time of 29.55 seconds. Reehil was fifth in the 400-mter hurdles
in 1:07.32 while Moore placed 11th at 1:10.69.
In the distance races, senior Lauren Bahnatka was second in the 3,000-meter
steeplechase in a time of 12:21.92 while freshman Naomie Kachel was
third in 12:27.35. Freshman Kelly Williams took seventh place in the
5,000-meter run in a time of 20:27.49. McCarron was third in the triple
jump with a distance of 10.23 meters (33 feet, 6 3/4 inches), and she
took sixth in the long jump with a leap of 4.87 meters (15 feet, 11
3/4 inches).
At Lafayette Leopard Invitational
hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania Postponed
until April 23rd
Moravian's trip to the Lafayette College Leopard Invitational, being
hosted in conjunction with the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania
Invitational due to construction at Lafayette, has been postponed one
day until Sunday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. due to weather conditions.
At Grizzly Invitational

The Greyhounds placed fourth of 13 schools at the Grizzly Invitational
hosted by Ursinus College. Moravian had a team score of 67 points while
NCAA Division I Coppin State College won the meet with 126 points, just
three points ahead of NCAA Division II West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
The Greyhounds had one individual champion with Junior Erin Recker capturing
first in the 100-meter dash in 12.53 seconds, and Recker was second
in the 200-meter dash in 25.57 seconds. Moravian's 4x100-meter relay
squad of Recker and juniors Kathellen McCarron, Suzanne Tamlyn and Amy
Reehil also won first place in a time of 48.95 seconds.
Reehil was fifth in the 100-meter dash in 13.23 seconds while senior
Rebecca Moore placed sixth in 13.36 seconds. McCarron took seventh in
the event in 13.41 seconds while freshman Katarina Birle was 15th in
a time of 14.24 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Tamlyn placed third
in 26.71 seconds while Reehil was fifth at 27.05 seconds and Birle was
20th in 29.53 seconds. Moore also placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles
in 1:10.75.
Senior Lauren Bahnatka paced the Greyhounds in the distance races,
placing sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 20:19.84. Freshman Kelly Williams
was eighth in the event in 20:20.43 while sophomore Katie Pulizzano
took tenth in 20:45.64. Senior Alexis Vergalla was ninth in the 1,500
meters in a time of 5:20.54 while freshman Naomie Kachel placed tenth
in 5:22.54. Sophomore Theresa Zataveski finished 16th in the 800-meter
run in a time of 2:49.65.
Zataveski also took seventh in the long jump with a leap of 4.65 meters
(15 feet, 3 1/4 inches), and she was ninth in the javelin with a toss
of 16.77 meters (55 feet, 1/2 inch). McCarron was second in the triple
jump with a distance of 9.97 meters (32 feet, 8 1/2 inches) while junior
Tammy Balliet took eighth in the shot put with a toss of 10.31 meters
(33 feet, ten inches).

Moravian competed at the non-scoring Sam Howell Invitational hosted
by Princeton University. Junior Erin Recker had the Greyhounds top individual
finish with a third place in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.57 seconds.
Junior Amy Reehil was 14th in the 100-mter dash in a time of 13.30 seconds
while junior Kathleen McCarron was 17th in 13.41 seconds and freshman
Rachelle Elneus was 21st in a time of 13.61 seconds. Moravian's 4x100-meter
relay squad of McCarron, Recker, junior Suzanne Tamlyn and Elneus placed
ninth in time 50.39 seconds.
Reehil was also 16th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:11.53 while senior
Rebecca Moore was 22nd in the event with a time of 1:16.67. Tamlyn placed
12th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:02.46 for the Greyhounds while
freshman Naomie Kachel was 29th in the 1,500-meter run in 5:30.56.
At Danny Curran Invitational

Individual Results
Moravian had three competitors in the 10,000 meters at the Danny Curran
Invitational hosted by Widener University. Senior Ellen Hansen placed
sixth in a time of 43:26.42 while freshman Kelly Williams was seventh
in 43:48.07 and sophomore Katie Pulizanno finished tenth at 45:58.44.
At Rider University-Lafayette
College 6-Way Meet 5th of 6 Moravian

The Greyhounds placed fifth of six schools at the Rider University-Lafayette
College 6-Way meet at Rider with a team score of 20.50 points. Lafayette
had the top team score at 98.50. Moravian was the only NCAA Division
III school at the meet and had one first place finish with junior Erin
Recker winning the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.35 seconds. Recker
also placed third in the 200-meter dash in 2.84 seconds.
In other sprint race results, junior Kathleen McCarron was fourth in
the 100-meter dash in 13.20 seconds while junior Suzanne Tamlyn took
fifth in a time of 13.21 seconds. Freshman Rachelle Elneus saw her first
action of the season in the 100-meter dash and placed ninth in 13.49
seconds while freshman Katrina Birle was 12th in a time of 13.81 seconds.
Tamlyn took ninth in the 200-meter dash in 27.36 seconds, and she was
also ninth in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.70. Elneus finished 15th in
the 200-meter dash in 28.84 seconds while Birle was 16th in 29.84 seconds.
Junior Amy Reehill placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:09.64.
The Greyhounds 4x100-meter relay squad of McCarron, Recker, Tamlyn and
Elneus was second in a time of 49.63 seconds.
In the distance events, freshman Stephanie Miller placed seventh in
the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:12.24. Senior Alexis Vergalla led
three Moravian runners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of
12:21.10, which placed her fifth. Freshman Naomie Kachel was sixth in
12:49.12 while junior Jennifer Connolly took eighth in a time of 13:34.63.

Moravian had three individual event winners on the second day of the
2006 Lehigh Valley Games at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Junior
Erin Recker captured first place in the 100-meter dash in 12.72 seconds
while junior Kathleen McCarron won the triple jump with a leap of 10.26
meters (33 feet, six inches) and junior Kelly Applegate took first in
the shot put with a toss of 12.04 meters (39 feet, six inches). Recker
also placed third in the 200-meter dash in 27.09 seconds while McCarron
was third in the long jump with a leap of 4.56 meters (14 feet, 11 3/4
inches). McCarron placed 11th in the 100-meter dash in 13.78 seconds.
In other sprint results for the Greyhounds, junior Suzanne Tamlyn was
tenth in the 200-meter dash in 27.93 seconds while freshman Katrina
Birle took 20th in 30.40 seconds. Sophomore Theresa Zataveski was tenth
in the 400-meter dash in 1:10.25, and she placed seventh in the 100-meter
hurdles in 17.19 seconds. Junior Amy Reehill was sixth in the 400-meter
hurdles in 1:11.61.
In the distance events on the second day of the meet, Tamlyn was 12th
in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:42.75 while freshman Stephanie Miller
placed 11th in the 1,500 meters in 5:18.63. Moravian had four competitors
in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with senior Lauren Bahnatka leading
the group with a fourth place finish in 12:15.44. Freshman Naomie Kachel
was sixth in 12:31.77 while senior Alexis Vergalla took eighth in a
time of 12:39.96 and junior Jennifer Connolly was ninth at 12:52.23.
Zataveski was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 4.22 meters (13
feet, 10 1/2 inches), and she was tenth in the triple jump with a distance
of 9.35 meters (30 feet, 8 1/4 inches). Reehil placed 12th in the high
jump, clearing 1.39 meters (four feet, seven inches).

The Greyhounds began their 2006 outdoor season at the first day of
the 2006 Lehigh Valley Games being hosted by DeSales University and
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Moravian had five competitors in
the first day action at DeSales. Junior Kelly Applegate placed second
in the discus throw with a toss of 29.15 meters (95 feet, eight inches)
while junior Tammy Balliet was third in the hammer throw with a distance
of 37.00 meters (121 feet, five inches). In the 5,000-meter run, senior
Lauren Bahnatka placed fifth in a time of 20:12.2 while freshman Kelly
Williams was seventh in 20:31.10 and sophomore Katie Pullizano finished
11th in 21:04.6.

Moravian had its string of ten straight conference championships come
to an end as the Greyhounds placed fourth of ten schools at the 2006
Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Susquehanna
University. The Greyhounds scored 71 points while Elizabethtown College
won its first indoor title with 130 points. Moravian had three individual
champions with junior Erin Recker capturing first in both the 55-meter
dash, in an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 7.31 seconds,
and the 200-meter dash in 26.54 seconds, and junior Kathleen McCarron
winning the long jump at 5.07 meters (16 feet, 7 3/4 inches).
McCarron was fifth in the 55-meter dash in 7.83 seconds and 14th in
the 200-meter dash at 28.95 seconds, while junior Suzanne Tamlyn placed
sixth in the 55-meter dash in 7.85 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter
dash in 27.49 seconds. Both McCarron and Tamlyn recorded faster times
in the preliminaries of the 55-meter dash with Tamlyn fourth after the
first run at 7.63 seconds and McCarron sixth at 7.71 seconds. Tamlyn
also placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.57 while junior
Amy Reehil was seven in the race at 1:02.52. Sophomore Theresa Zataveski
finished seventh in the 55-meter hurdles in 9.56 seconds.
In the distance races, sophomore Christina Roccamo was fifth in the
800-meter run in a time of 2:33.34. Freshman Naomie Kachel was seventh
in the mile run at 5:52.50 while junior Jennifer Connolly placed ninth
in 5:57.89 and freshman Kelly Williams was 11th in 6:01.10.
Moravian's 4x200-meter relay team of Recker, McCarron, Reehil and Tamlyn
took second in a time of 1:48.50 while the 4x400-meter relay squad of
Reehil, Tamlyn, Roccamo and senior Rebecca Moore placed third in 4:13.72.
The 4,000-meter distance relay squad of Moore, Roccamo, senior Alexis
Vergalla and freshman Stephanie Miller took third place in a time of
13:26.31 while the 4x800-meter relay team of Roccamo, Vergalla, Kachel
and Miller was fifth in 10:52.26.
In other field events, McCarron placed fourth in the triple jump with
a distance of 10.14 meters (33 feet, 3 1/4 inches) while Zataveski was
ninth in the long jump with a leap of 4.53 meters (14 feet, 10 1/2 inches).
Junior Tammy Balliet placed third in the shot put with a toss of 11.28
meters (37 feet, 1/4 inches), and she took fifth in the 20-pound weight
throw with a distance of 11.25 meters (36 feet, 11 inches).
At Keogh Invitational hosted
by Haverford College Non-Scoring Meet Moravian
Individual Results
The Greyhounds had their final tune-up before the 2006 Middle Atlantic
States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Indoor Championships at the non-scoring
Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College. Sophomore Christina
Roccamo had Moravian's top individual finish with a tenth place in the
800-meter run in a time of 2:35.94. Freshman Naomie Kachel was 24th
in the race in 2:44.07. The only other event the Greyhounds had competitors
in was the mile run with six runners in the race led by freshman Stephanie
Miller finishing 15th in a time of 5:50.31. Kachel placed 19th in the
event in 5:55.12 while senior Alexis Vergalla was 21st in a time of
5:57.08. Junior Jennifer Connolly placed 24th in 6:01.83 while freshman
Kelly Williams was 25th in a time of 6:02.13 and sophomore Katie Pulizzano
was 30th at 6:05.67.
At Rider University-Lafayette
College Invitational at New York City Armory Non-Scoring Meet

Individual Results
Moravian participated in the non-scoring Rider University-Lafayette
College Invitational at the New York City Armory. Junior Erin Recker
had the Greyhounds top individual finish with a sixth place showing
in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.00 seconds. Moravian's only other
top ten finish in the track events was by junior Suzanne Tamlyn with
a ninth place in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.77.
Recker took 15th place in the 200-meter dash in 26.75 seconds while
Tamlyn was 19th in 26.93 seconds. Junior Kathleen McCarron placed 22nd
in the 200-meter dash in 27.90 seconds while senior Rebecca Moore took
25th in 28.70 seconds. Tamlyn also finished 18th in the 60-meter dash
in 8.35 seconds while McCarron was 20th in 8.38 seconds. Junior Amy
Reehil took 22nd in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.62 while sophomore Theresa
Zataveski placed 22nd in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 10.38 seconds.
In the field events, McCarron was tenth in the long jump at 4.98 meters
(16 feet, 4 1/4 inches) while Zataveski was 17th with a leap of 4.56
meters (14 feet, 11 1/2 inches). Junior Tammy Balliet was tenth in the
shot put with a distance of 10.41 meters (34 feet, two inches), and
she was 15th in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 9.84 meters
(32 feet, 3 1/2 inches).

Relay Results
The Greyhounds competed at the non-scoring 7th Annual Dick Deschriver
Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and
had a pair of first place finishes by junior Erin Recker. Recker captured
first in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.35 seconds, just two hundredths
of a second shy of qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Recker, who was third in the 55-meter dash preliminaries with a time
of 7.58 seconds, also won the 200-meter dash in 26.48 seconds. Recker
combined with juniors Kathleen McCarron and Suzanne Tamlyn and sophomore
Theresa Zataveski to place third in the 4x200-meter relay in a time
of 1:51.61.
McCarron and Tamlyn also competed in the 55-meter dash with McCarron
placing 12th in 7.86 seconds and Tamlyn 13th at 7.93 seconds. Junior
Amy Reehil was 18th in the 55-meter dash at 8.01 seconds while freshman
Katarina Birle finished 33rd in 8.42 seconds. McCarron also ran in the
200-meter dash, placing 11th in 28.04 seconds, while Tamlyn was tenth
in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:02.83. Reehil took 15th in the
400 meters in 1:04.24 while Birle was 32nd in the race with a time of
1:11.63. Zataveski placed ninth in the preliminaries of the 55-meter
hurdles in 9.77 seconds.
Sophomore Christina Roccamo paced the Greyhounds in the distance events
with a fourth place finish in the 1,000-meter run in 3:19.33. Freshman
Stephanie Miller took 14th in the mile run in a time of 5:49.09 while
senior Alexis Vergalla was 18th in 5:53.43. Freshman Naomie Kachel took
27th in the race in a time of 6:01.04 while freshman Kelly Williams
was 35th in 6:06.27. Roccamo, Vergalla, Kachel and senior Ashley McCuen
placed third in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 10:39.68.
McCarron also placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet,
five inches (5.00 meters) while Zataveski was 18th at 14 feet, eight
inches (4.47 meters). Junior Tammy Balliet took sixth in the shot put
with a toss of 39 feet, 9 3/4 inches (12.13 meters), and she was 16th
in the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 37 feet, 4 3/4 inches
(11.39 meters).

Moravian finished 11th at the 14th John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh
University. The Greyhounds scored six points while the host Mountain
Hawks won the meet with 121.5 points. Junior Suzanne Tamlyn scored three
points for Moravian with a sixth place finish in the 400-meter dash
in a time of 1:03.64. The Greyhounds other two points came from a ninth
place finish by the 4x400 meter relay squad of Tamlyn, junior Amy Reehil
and sophomores Theresa Zataveski and Christina Roccamo in a time of
4:29.36.
In the sprint events, junior Erin Recker placed eighth in the preliminaries
of the 60-meter dash in 8.19 seconds while junior Kathleen McCarron
was 18th in 8.57 seconds. Sophomore Ashlee Scarborough placed 21st with
a time of 8.87 seconds while freshman Katarina Birle was 22nd in 8.90
seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Tamlyn was 11th overall in 27.75 seconds
while Recker took 22nd in 28.42 seconds. McCarron was 26th in 28.75
seconds while Scarborough was 33rd in a time of 30.46 seconds and Birle
was 35th in 31.14 seconds. Senior Rebecca Moore took 11th in the 400-meter
dash in 1:05.15 while Reehil was 11th in the 500-meter dash in a time
of 1:27.07. Zataveski also ran the 500-meter dash, finishing 15th in
1:37.16, and she was 21st in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries in a
time of 10.76 seconds.
Roccamo was 14th in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:35.74 while freshman
Stephanie Miller took 22nd place in 2:39.59 and freshman Naomie Kachel
finished 24th at 2:41.90. Sophomore Katie Pulizzano was 12th in the
5,000-meter run in a time of 21:09.63 while senior Alexis Vergalla was
23rd in the 3,000-meter run on 11:59.09.
McCarron was tenth in the long jump at 4.79 meters (15 feet, 8 3/4
inches), and she placed 12th in the triple jump with a distance of 9.53
meters (31 feet, 3 1/4 inches). Moore took 11th in the pole vault, clearing
2.60 meters (eight feet, 6 1/4 inches) while Zataveski was 14th in the
long jump with a leap of 4.42 meters (14 feet, six inches). In the throwing
events, junior Tammy Balliet placed 17th in the 20-pound weight throw
with a toss of 11.54 meters (37 feet, 10 1/2 inches), and she was 27th
in the shot put at 8.90 meters (29 feet, 2 1/2 inches).

The Greyhounds competed for the second time in two days, this time
at the non-scoring Susquehanna University Orange & Maroon Classic.
Moravian had three top five finishes with junior Erin Recker placing
second in the 55-meter dash in 7.57 seconds and third in the 200-meter
dash in 28.00 seconds and senior Rebecca Moore taking fifth in the pole
vault, clearing 2.74 meters (nine feet). Recker also had a time of 7.71
seconds in the preliminaries of the 55-meter dash, which had her ranked
fourth headed into the finals.
In other sprint event results, junior Suzanne Tamlyn placed sixth in
the finals of the 55-meter dash in 7.83 seconds after running a time
of 7.74 seconds in the preliminaries, which had been ranked fifth. Junior
Kathleen McCarron was eighth in the 55-meter dash preliminaries in 7.89
seconds while freshman Katrina Birle was 20th at 8.47 seconds. Tamlyn
also took eighth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 28.17 seconds while
McCarron was 15th in 29.12 seconds. Sophomore Ashlee Scarborough ran
a time of 30.56 seconds to place 25th in the 200-meter dash. Moore placed
sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.70 while junior Amy Reehill was
eighth in a time of 1:04.45. Sophomore Theresa Zataveski placed 11th
in the 55-meter hurdles in 10.14 seconds.
Senior Lauren Bahnatka was tenth in the 5,000-meter run in 20:32.74
while freshman Naomie Kachel was 19th in the mile run in a time of 6:13.73.
Bahnatka and Kachel teamed up with senior Alexis Vergalla and sophomore
Katie Pulizzano to place fourth in the 4,000-meter distance medley relay
in a time of 14:06.33.
In the field events, McCarron placed seventh in the long jump at 4.75
meters (15 feet, seven inches) while Zataveski was 13th with a leap
of 4.37 meters (14 feet, four inches) and Scarborough was 17th at 4.19
meters (13 feet, nine inches). Zataveski also took 19th in the shot
put with a toss o 6.00 meters (19 feet, 8 1/2 inches).
At 4th Annual Great Dane Classic at New
York Armory No Team Score Moravian
Individual Results
Moravian returned to action after a six-week layoff at the 4th Annual
Great Dane Classic hosted by the University of Albany at the New York
City Armory. The Greyhounds were one of 14 schools in the meet; however,
Moravian did not score. Moravian's top performance was by junior Erin
Recker in the 55-meter dash as she placed 17th in a time of 7.63 in
the preliminaries. Recker was also 31st in the 200-meter dash in 27.54
seconds while junior Amy Reehil took 21st in the 500-meter run in 1:25.28.
Junior Suzanne Tamlyn placed 30th in the 400-meter dash in a time of
1:02.81.
Moravian had just one competitor in the field events with junior Kathleen
McCarron placing 19th in the long jump with a leap of 4.91 meters (16
feet, 1 1/2 inches).
At Lafayette College Invitational 5th

Results
The Greyhounds began their 2005-06 indoor season with a fifth place
finish at the Lafayette College Invitational at the Kirby Sports Center.
Moravian, the only NCAA Division III school in the meet, scored 15 points
while the host Leopards won the invitational with 165 points. Junior
Erin Recker had the Greyhounds top individual finish, placing third
in the finals of the 60-yard dash with a time of 7.20 seconds after
running the preliminaries in 6.90 seconds, which had placed her seventh.
Junior Kathleen McCarron was third in the preliminaries of the 60-yard
dash in a time of 6.58 seconds but did not compete in the finals. Senior
Rebecca Moore was 12th in the 60-yard dash in 7.51 seconds while junior
Suzanne Tamlyn placed 13th at 7.58 seconds in the preliminaries. In
the 60-yard hurdle preliminaries, sophomore Theresa Zataveski was ninth
in 9.60 seconds while junior Amy Reehil placed 11th in 10.11 seconds.
Tamlyn also took ninth in the 440-yard dash in a time of 1:05.42 seconds
while Moore finished 11th in 1:07.94. Reehill was seventh in the 500-meter
run with a time of 1:28.74 while Recker was eighth in the 220-yard dash
in 28.02 seconds. Tamlyn finished 11th in the 220-yard dash in 28.40
seconds while Zataveski took 17th in a time of 29.81 seconds.
In the field events for the Greyhounds, McCarron was fourth in the
triple jump with a leap of 9.86 meters (34 feet, 4 1/4 inches), and
she was fourth in the long jump at 4.72 meters (15 feet, six inches).
Junior Tammy Balliet took ninth in the 20-pound weight throw with a
toss of 10.84 meters (35 feet, 6 3/4 inches), and she was eighth in
the shot put with a distance of 10.05 meters (32 feet, 11 3/4 inches).
Sophomore Ashlee Scarborough was 12th in the shot put at 7.41 meters
(24 feet, 3 3/4 inches) while Zataveski finished 13th with a toss of
5.66 meters (18 feet, seven inches).
