From the Alumni House:
Dorthea Atallah and husband Bruce Hanes were busy traveling in 2011.  They went to Yellowstone for a winter tour.  Then they went south for a month to celebrate Mardi Gras in Mobile, New Orleans, then onto Texas to visit friends.  Next, they went to New Mexico to see new museums.  In Arizona, they went to an ostrich ranch where they fished for ostriches and also fed them, followed by the Antelope canyon and Monument Valley. Then they were off for another cold tour to Newfoundland to see icebergs.  Dorthea’s 60th college reunion followed and they, along with 3 classmates, had a great time.  After that, they drove to Florida.  They then decided to tour Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for 3 weeks.  With all this, they exercise 3 days a week while in NC. Dorthea’s orchids are doing very well and in March, she won third place with one of them.
