Dr. Miki Seifert writes: My husband, William Franco, and I are Artistic Directors of With Lime.
With Lime, an international, interdisciplinary arts company based in Wellington creates performances, installations and projections that explore the interface between cultures, and cultures and technology. It is committed to the vision of the arts as positive force for personal and societal transformation.

U.S. artists turned Wellingtonians, William Franco and Miki Seifert are the Artistic Directors of With Lime. Franco and Seifert established With Lime, the only resident Butoh Company in Aotearoa New Zealand, in 2007 to bring this amazing artform to Kiwi audiences and performing arts practitioners, and develop Butoh to reflect the experience, culture and land of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Since coming to Wellington, they have continued to push the boundaries of Butoh and multimedia performance and installation with Nō Naianei/From This Moment, Museum Piece, He rawe tona kakahu/She wore a becoming dress, Public/Private, and 7 Generations.

Seifert, recipient of the New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarship, completed her PhD in Māori Studies at Victoria University in 2011. For her doctorate, Seifert developed a performative research methodology which included Butoh.

Franco, 2007 Fulbright Fellow, has a Masters from Massey University, and BA, Film & Video, from the California Institute for the Arts. He is doing his PhD in Māori Studies at Victoria University and applying performative research to interactive experiential installations.
