Rebecca Schreiber Goode married John R. Goode on October 15, 2011.  Ellen Blum served as her Maid of Honor.  Other Moravian Alums in attendance: John Brand, Joe Schmelze, Leigh MacDonald Pecoriello, Mark Pecoriello, Thomas Moloney, and Becky Ziegenfuss Lyons ’99.  Rebecca and her husband recently relocated to Denver, CO.  Rebecca is the Northwest District Visual Manager for Free People.

John Brand is Director of Marketing and Communications at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY.  He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters, 4 and 2.

Ellen Blum is a Director of Consumer Media at WebMD.  She currently lives in the Art Museum area of Philadelphia with her fiancé.

Joseph Schmelze works for Pocono Medical Center and is a writer for a small online publication.  He recently graduated summa cum laude from graduate school, and he is engaged to the mother of his beautiful baby girl, Isabella.

Leigh MacDonald Pecoriello was named one of the 20 local individuals under age 40 doing extraordinary things by the New Jersey Herald.  She is the proud owner of the Mother Moon Baby Boutique in Newton, NJ and the mother of a two year old daughter, June.  She and her husband Mark Pecoriello are expecting their second child in February.

Thomas Moloney has been working as a full-time musician in New York City/ New Jersey area for the past 5 years.  He currently resides in Hoboken, NJ.

Christine Roye Henry is an art teacher in Chester, VA.  She was chosen to present at a P. Buckley Moss Foundation dinner about a project she initiated involving art and the Holocaust.  Through this project she has connected her students with other students attending schools over in Germany, where Holocaust survivors live.  They are working together to create and co-publish a book about the survivors’ lives.

       Leigh MacDonald Pecoriello, owner of Mother Moon Baby Boutique, in Newton, N.J., recently moved the store to a larger location. The new space includes a room for her private studio so that she can use art skills and an area where events such as infant massage classes, Mommy and Me Yoga and more are held. The store carries everything from baby clothing, organic toys and gifts, cloth diapers, hand painted furniture and more.

       On June 12, 2010 Michael Susek wed Kristen Zurek in Shaverton, Pa.  In attendance were Joshua Daly, Elizabeth DiFebo Drott, Jason Drott, Jill Schwab Kozo,  Ryan McGarrigan, Ryan Baran ’01, and Morris Balacco ’03.  Michael and Kristen reside in Littleton, Colo.  Michael is the assistant manager of Elections for Arapahoe County.  Michael and Kristen are co-owners of the Ballet Physique fitness studio.

    Nathan & I would like to announce the birth of our third son, Mathew Porter ("Porter") on April 7th of this year. We are hoping to bring Porter and his big brothers, Ethan & Liam to Bethlehem at some point this summer to show them Moravian.

Rebekah Worthington Massey and husband Jim are happy to announce the arrival of their fourth child; Grant Issac Massey who was born on September 19, 2009.


Michael Susek will marry Kristen Zurek in June in Shavertown, PA. The couple will honeymoon in Antigua.


Joseph J.  Wiedmayer received a new position as an executive recruiter for Parker and Lynch in King of Prussia. He manages the entire cycle of the recruiting process, working with hiring managers and job candidates.

Justin Potts recently became the head coach of the women’s basketball team at East Stroudsburd University. While this is his first year as the women’s coach, it is his eighth as an assistant on the men’s team.

Gordon Frack  Jr. received his master’s degree and is working on his second. He rejoined the football staff  at Moravian to coach the wide receivers this past season and loved it. He looks forward to coaching again next year. Gordon and his wife, Erin, welcomed their fourth child (second boy) to the family. Ezerett Grey was born November 11, 2009 at 7lbs 3oz and was 19.5 inches long. He says that everyone is healthy and adjusting to life with four.

Justin Potts, received his master’s degree in exercise science from East Stroudsburg University in 2007. Since that point he has served as an assistant coach at Moravian and then moved to coach at ESU. He has been a fundamental part of the men’s basketball team and acted as their assistant coach. Recently he has been named the acting head coach of the women’s basketball team at ESU.

Michael Susek has accepted a new job.  He will be the assistant manager of elections in Arapahoe County, Colorado.  He is also engaged to Kristen Zurek and getting married June 12, 2010 in Pennsylvania.  He recently ran into Moravian alum Dave Halchak ’02 at a Phish concert at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado.

Jane Knisely has just completed a two year Presidential Management Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and has accepted a position as scientific program analyst at the Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases at NIH.  She will be staffing her branch supervisor who is chief of the bacteriology and mycology branch of the IAID.

Thanks to Facebook and LinkedIn, I have reconnected with more Moravian grads! Bill Onofry ’01 has been married for two years. He and his wife had their first child, William (Liam) Onofry in January 2008. Bill is a real estate and estate planning lawyer in his hometown of Port Jervis, New York.

Bryan Parente and Steph Madle were married June 28, 2008. He is in the M.B.A. program at DeSales University and works for Merck and Co. as a quality auditor in the GMP Compliance Division. Steph works for Merck and Co. as an accountant. Bryan also filled me in on what some other Moravian grads have been up to lately. David Jelleme is married and has one daughter; he and his wife are expecting their second child. J.D. Rhinehart ’01 was recently married. Both he and Michael Quirk live in Easton. Justin Biel has two daughters and lives in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Melissa Reitbauer Kline and her husband Keith welcomed their second child, a boy named Chase, in October 2007. Their first child, Carter, is now 3. Missy has decided to take a break from her job at Microsoft and focus on raising her two sons.

Diane Annes Mizerak and her family are enjoying life in Bethlehem. She has two daughters, ages 4 and 2.

I am working as a clinical neuropsychologist in a private practice in Madison, New Jersey. Alexander Egan ’01 and I were married August 16, 2008 outside of Philadelphia. Melissa Reitbauer Kline was a bridesmaid; Diane Annes Mizerak and Molly Duffy Brewer attended.

Kara Heck-Kline and Christopher Kline are proud to announce the birth of a daughter, Madelyn Rose, on June 16, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She weighed 7 lb., 6 oz.

Lance Drennan and Tammy Vega are happy to announce they were married on October 4, 2008 in Long Branch, N.J. They reside in Hackettstown, N.J.
