Math/CS Department Colloquium

The Mathematics and Computer Science department invites you to our colloquium "The Mathematics of Income Inequality," by Klaus Volpert from Villanova University. He will discuss how we actually measure income inequality and compare a couple mathematical models. Those who read "The Spirit Level" (our summer freshman reading text) should enjoy the discussion of what we actually mean when we try to quantify "inequality."

This is a general audience talk, but those with some familiarity with calculus will have a greater appreciation for the details in the talk.

Time: 11:45am

Location: PPHAC 102
