Chris Hedges: "Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt"

The Seventh Peace & Justice Scholar in Residence

Hedges' talk will be drawn from his most recent book, Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt, described by the Boston Globe "as moving a portrait of poverty and as compelling a call to action as Michael Harrington's 'The Other America,' published in 1962."

For over two decades Hedges reported on war and terrorism from over 50 countries as a foreign correspondent. This work was published by many different news affiliates, including the Christian Science Monitor, National Public Radio, & The New York Times. In 2002, with other reporters, he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of global terrorism. He also has received the Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism in 2002.
