Moravian Student’s Design Chosen for Media Bistro’s UnBeige Blog

Bethlehem, Pa., June 26, 2008—A design developed by Marina Moser ’09, (Furlong, Pa.) a graphic and interactive design major at Moravian College, has been rotating on Media Bistro's UnBeige blog recently.  It was submitted to Media Bistro’s “design our logo” competition.  Moser’s winning design can be seen worldwide on the Website http://mediabistro.com/unbeige/.

Media Bistro's UnBeige is a professional blog featuring breaking news in the design world. The blog site recently asked for its visitors help in redesigning their Web banner for the homepage, which features the latest in breaking design news. The site is a professional blog where Moser was competing against working professionals.

The logo that Marina designed for the UnBeige website is part of a regularly rotated posting of web banner submissions to the website. The logo was a minor project the class had to complete for Publication Design under the direction of Professor Chris Neyen.

Marina says she is constantly stretching how she can visually communicate to her audience.  “I believe it’s my job as an artist to evoke universal thoughts and emotions that can only be acknowledged through images,” she notes.  Moser credits her studies in sociology for helping her discover core ethics and ideals that cross cultural boundaries. “As a result, her work often challenges these so-called borders,” she continued.

Entering her senior year at Moravian, Marina hopes to continue her studies for an MFA upon graduation.

Moravian College is a private, coeducational, selective liberal arts college located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Tracing its founding to 1742, it is recognized as America's sixth-oldest college. Visit the Web site at www.moravian.edu.
