Religious Life

The Religious Life Office consists of one part-time College Chaplain, Catholic Advisor, and Jewish Chaplain, and a full-time Administrative Assistant. The chaplains and advisor provide opportunities for worship, discussion, fellowship, education, and personal growth. In addition, they are available for counseling.

The College Chaplain offers weekly song and prayer gatherings led by Seminary students at 10:00 p.m. Wednesdays in the Saal of the Bahnson Center (Moravian Theological Seminary) and the College Chaplain leads Dessert & Discussion at 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays in the Religious Life Office, 1305 Main Street. Students are welcome to stop in for all or part of that time. Special services are announced accordingly.

During the academic year, Catholic Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in Borhek Chapel. Mass is also celebrated on Holy Days. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) is administered prior to Mass on Sunday evenings. Appointments for confession may be made through the Chaplain's Office. During Advent and Lent, special penitential services are provided. Holy Day Masses are announced at Sunday Mass and to the campus community a week prior to the Holy Day. Times may vary.

Activities for Jewish students are provided through the Hillel Society of Moravian College in conjunction with Lehigh University. Inquiries can be made through the Chaplain's office.
