Moravian College to hold Memorial in Remembrance of 9/11

Bethlehem, Pa., September 10, 2008—In honor of the thousands lost during the attacks, Moravian College will hold a memorial service ceremonial tree at the corner of Locust and Monocacy Streets on Thursday, September 11 at 12:00 p.m. “This will be a time of prayer and remembrance,” said Jennifer Perreault, interim Chaplain at Moravian, who will preside over the program.

In honor of the day, the College will have the bells will be rung at:

  • 8:45 a.m. for the First plane that crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center
  • 9:03 a.m. for the Second plane that crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center
  • 9:38 for the Plane that crashed into the Pentagon
  • 10:10 for the Plane that crashed in Somerset County, PA
