The Health Center provides a variety of medical services for students during the fall and spring terms. The Center is under the management of St. Luke’s Hospital.
The Health Center is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Staff includes Debra Cline MSN, CRNP; Stella Gordon, RN; Maheep Vikram, MD supervising physician; two fellow physicians; Cheryl Lichner, MSN, CRNP (providing gyn services by appointment) and Kathy Atkinson, our secretary.
If medical care is required when the College Health Center is closed, students may visit the St. Luke’s North at 153 Brodhead Road. The phone number there is 954-3000. This facility is open Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 noon. Also, the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital treats emergency cases 24-hours a day. Students should inquire about fees.
All students must submit a completed medical form to the Health Center in accordance with the stated deadline. Specific immunizations required are a tetanus-diphtheria booster within the last ten years; two doses of MMR vaccine; a polio immunization series; a tuberculin screening; hepatitis B vaccine; two varicella vaccines or history of disease; and Menomune vaccine.
