Campus Community to Celebrate Presidential Inauguration
Bethlehem, Pa., January 14, 2009—Moravian College will celebrate a moment in history, the Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama. The campus community is invited to view the live broadcast from Washington D.C. in Prosser Auditorium on Tuesday, January 20, beginning at 10:30 a.m. To mark the occasion, the College is serving an inaugural cake and other foods that are a favorite of the president elect.
“This is an important day in our history—a day to be celebrated by all and to all our leaders who did so much to make this day possible,” said Sharon A. Brown, director, Office of Institutional Diversity at Moravian College. “This is a wonderful opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together, regardless of political ideology, and witness a historic moment in nation’s history.”
