Bethlehem, Pa., September 26, 2008—Moravian College recently named David Schappert as the director of the Reeves Library. Schappert has over twenty years experience as a library director, most recently at East Stroudsburg University where he was the director of library and instructional services for fifteen years. He has been very active in the Pennsylvania Library Association both serving on committees, and making conference presentations. He is now the chair of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Library Council. Schappert holds a B.A. degree in English from Michigan State University, and a M.L.S. degree from Drexel University. Schappert replaced Rita Berk, who served as director of Reeves Library since 1985.
The College also announced that Kerry Sethi has been named the director of international studies. Mr. Sethi comes to Moravian after having served three years as the director of multicultural and international affairs at DeSales University. He has experience working closely with faculty to develop both short-term and semester long courses. Sethi has a B.S. degree in Political Science from Illinois State University, a Masters of International Relations and Diplomacy degree from Schiller International University, Paris, and a Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Maine.
