Bethlehem, Pa., March 10, 2009—Author and Professor Angela J. Hattery will present “Battered Women and the Men Who Batter Them: A Sociological Perspective” on Thursday, March 12, 7:30 p.m., in Moravian’s Prosser Auditorium, Haupert Union Building. Admission is free of charge and the public is welcome.
Angela J. Hattery, Ph.D. is the Zachary T. Smith Reynolds Associate Professorship in Sociology and Women & Gender Studies at Wake Forest University. Her research focuses on social stratification, gender, family, and race. She is the author of numerous articles, book chapters, and books, including Women, Work, and Family: Balancing and Weaving (2001), Intimate Partner Violence (2007), and Race, Human Rights and Inequalities (2008).
