Highlights From the Permanent Collection

In developing this exhibition in honor of Priscilla Payne Hurd, founder and benefactor of the Payne Gallery of Moravian College, a group of seven art history students from Dr. Radycki's ART HISTORY WORKSHOP collaborated to weave three distinct themes into a single cohesive exhibition. Foremost was to honor a life of giving to the college, and then to feature two groups of paintings donated by Mrs. Hurd which highlight the gallery's collection of works by the women of The Philadelphia Ten, as well as important works by the Pennsylvania Impressionists.
