Scholarships Pursuing You
Moravian College offers a number of merit scholarships for which you are automatically considered when you apply for admission.
Merit scholarships at Moravian are awarded without regard to financial need. They recognize the strong academic ability, personal achievements, talents, and potential of recipients. It is our goal to recognize students who have distinguished themselves with exceptional academic performance. Your grades, academic courses, class rank, standardized test scores (or personal interview if you choose to apply through our test optional policy), and personal achievement are all important pieces of our merit decision.
The Comenius Scholarship
(up to $20,000) is Moravian’s most prestigious award. It is awarded to students who represent the top of a Moravian incoming class. Candidates should have academic credentials from high school that also place them at the very top of their high school class. Generally, they will have taken advanced courses in high school, earned very high grades, and achieved appropriately high standardized test scores.
The Trustee Scholarship
(up to $16,000) is awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic achievement and a strong record of involvement in school or community activities. Candidates should have academic credentials that place them among the top levels of their high school class. Generally, they will have taken a few advanced courses in high school, earned strong grades, and achieved above average standardized test scores.
The Founders Scholarship
(up to $12,000) is awarded to students who have a proven and consistent academic record and a strong personal profile. Candidates should have academic credentials that are distinguished among their peers and be well-respected members of their high school class. Generally, they will have taken a strong overall course of study in high school, earned strong grades, and achieved above average standardized test scores.
The Presidential Scholarship
(up to $6,000) is awarded to students who have demonstrated academic ability and a strong record of personal achievement. Candidates should have solid academic preparation and a record that clearly demonstrates an ability to be successful in college. Generally, they will have taken a strong overall course of study in high school, earned strong grades, and achieved above average standardized test scores.
The Moravian College Heritage Grant

One $15,000 grant is reserved for a deserving student from the Bethlehem Area School District. Two $5,000 awards are reserved for students transferring from Northampton Community College and Lehigh Carbon Community College.
