Biography

Marianne has been a nurse for over 25 years and is a family nurse practitioner. Marianne has been teaching nursing students for over fifteen years. In addition to nursing education, Marianne has worked in the areas of administration, medical / surgical, critical care and home care nursing. Marianne is a member of Sigma Theta Tau- Upsilon Alpha Chapter, Lehigh Valley Area Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Marianne is currently a doctoral candidiate at Pennylvania State University. Her area of interest relates to how people learn to manage chronic illness with a focus on people diagnosed with diabetes. Marianne has travelled to Ahuas, Honduras twice with nursing students enrolled in the course, NURS320: Nursing of Populations at High Risk for Health Problems: Honduras. The most recent trip was during the 2007/2008 winter break.  Marianne  teaches in sophmore and junior nursing students in the courses Holistic Assessment and Quest For Individual Well-Being.
