Areas of Research and/or Expertise
Maternal-child nursing, computers in teaching, and nursing education
Dr. Hoffman is currently the Coordinator for the M.S. program in nursing. She has taught nursing students at all levels of their education, teaching family, leadership, and graduate courses in nursing education and evidence-based practice. Her specialty is maternal and newborn health which has involved the provision of direct care for obstetric and pediatric clients in a variety of health care settings. Since 2008, Dr. Hoffman has participated in a federally funded partnership project with the nursing association in Mozambique, Africa.
Dr. Hoffman is the President for the Pennsylvania Eastern Region of Nurse Leaders and Secretary of Pennsylvania State Nursing Association, District 2. She is a member of Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Nurses Association, and Upsilon Alpha Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International.
