Biography
Marianne has been a nurse for over 20 years and is a family nurse practitioner. Marianne has been teaching nursing students for over ten years. In addition to nursing education, Marianne has worked in the areas of administration, medical / surgical, critical care and home care nursing. Marianne is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Lehigh Valley Area Nurse Practitioner, the National Student Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a Faculty Advisor for St. Luke's School of Nursing at Moravian College Honor Society. Marianne is currently a doctoral student at Penn State. Her area of interest relates to factors affecting adherence to the health care regime in clients with chronic diseases with a focus on diabetes.
Marianne was the clinical faculty for the course, NURS320: Nursing of Populations at High Risk for Health Problems: Honduras. She and her family accompanied four nursing students to Ahuas, Honduras for a three week international health care experience during winter 2003.
