Bethlehem, Pa., June 3, 2009—Moravian College will hold a summer open house for prospective students on Thursday, July 16, with a host of activities for both students and their parents. Registration begins at 9 a.m. in Johnston Hall, followed by welcoming remarks by Bernard Story, vice president for enrollment, Jim Mackin, director of admissions, and Angela Colon, assistant director of admissions.
Twenty-Six Points student ambassadors will conduct tours of the main campus, leaving from Johnston Hall from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. The walking tour will visit the Main Street Campus, dining halls, computer labs, athletic facilities, residence halls, and surrounding locations.
Parents will take an in depth look at the admission and financial aid process and gain a unique perspective on the Moravian College experience in Prosser Auditorium, Haupert Union Building from 11:00-11:45 a.m. At the same time, prospective students will have the opportunity to meet admissions staff and learn about Moravian College’s programs, the admissions process, and more at the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex. Moravian faculty will provide an overview of academic opportunities and the liberal arts curriculum from 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m., in the Atrium of the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex.
A light lunch at the Pavilion, Haupert Union Building, from 12:00 – 1:15 p.m., will allow visitors a chance to mingle and chat with current Moravian students and the admissions staff. Moravian shuttle services will be provided at the Haupert Union Building to explore Moravian’s art and music facilities in downtown Historic Bethlehem beginning at 12:45 p.m.
