Bethlehem, Pa., November 13, 2007— Moravian College will hold its fifth Annual Career Networking Reception on Tuesday, November 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in Haupert Union Building. More than 50 Moravian College alumni, representing a wide range of careers in business, education, and government, will return to campus to meet with students and discuss their experiences in the workplace.
The Student-Alumni Career Networking Reception is a gathering of alumni, faculty, staff, and local professionals who are interested in supporting current Moravian students in their career development. It is an opportunity for students to make connections with alumni and local professionals in their field of interest, allowing them to talk to experts about their prospects for the future.
“Students find this event very informative and helpful whether trying to decide on a major, a career field, a graduate school or program or explore internship and employment possibilities,” said Christine Rander, assistant director of career development at Moravian College. “The Alumni are eager to talk with students and answer their questions and networking continues to top the list of strategies used by Moravian College graduates to secure their first job, according to the Career Center’s annual survey.”
The event is sponsored by the Student Alumni Association, Alumni association, and the Career Center at Moravian College.
