Guest Performance: "Cravings: Songs of Hunger and Satisfaction"

Performed by Belle Linda Halpern

An IN-FOCUS Program

"CRAVINGS" is a funny and thought-provoking look at our search for what feeds us. Songs that range from Tin Pan Alley classics to pop anthems, contemporary ballads and Yiddish showstoppers are spiced with comic personal narrative reflecting Halpern's Jewish-American culinary journey. As she prepares the traditional Passover dish charoset, and finally serves it to the audience, Halpern's humorous take on our constant cravings evolves to a life-affirming call to taste the sweetness in the everyday.

The program begins at 5:30 with the progressive sustainability trail including food and drink. The panel discussion begins at 7:15. The evening will end at 8:30.
