Featuring Robert Lawrence, clarinet - Instrumental Concerto Competition Winner
James Earl Barnes, conductor
Junior music education major, Robert Lawrence, clarinet, will perform the Weber Clarinet Concert No. 2, as the 2014-2015 Instrumental Concerto Competition Winner. Additional music on this concert will be in accord with the College's InFocus theme for the year: War, Peacebuilding, and the Just Society.
By William Shakespeare
Four Shakespeare workshops will culminate in a script-in-hand workshop production of this Western classic. Highlighting Moravian's 2014-15 IN-FOCUS theme of War and Peace, this play includes some of Shakespeare's most famous lines and speeches on the topic of war. King Henry V rallies the English forces for an invasion of France, facing staggering odds. Despite the rhetoric of victory, this play does not shy away from issues of loss and suffering.
