Bethlehem, Pa., April 15, 2010—The Moravian College Theatre Company will present a Student Cabaret from Wednesday, April 21 to Sunday, April 25 in the Arena Theater. All shows will be at 8:00 p.m. except Sunday’s, which will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee. The students invite everyone to come celebrate the coming of spring and the end of the school year with a variety of different performances.
A cabaret is typically a form of entertainment featuring comedy, song, dance, and theatric or poetic monologues, and all students were invited to propose performance ideas befitting these categories. The show will feature both solo and collaborative performances by talented Moravian students. MCTC director Christopher Shorr prefers to allow students to take the initiative in many theatre activities, so the Cabaret is entirely planned and performed by them. This event marks the culmination of Moravian’s successful 2009-2010 theatre season and promises to be an entertaining night for all.
Admission for the Cabaret is free, and donations will be accepted to benefit Haiti Relief efforts. The Arena Theater is located in the lower level of the Haupert Union Building. For information call 610-861-1491 or visit: www.moravian.edu.
