Healthy Eating Lecture Aimed at Preventing Eating Disorders
Bethlehem, Pa., March 22, 2006— Registered dietitian Jennifer Doane will present a talk titled “Nutrition and You: A Guide to Healthy Eating” to Moravian College students on Monday, March 27, 7 p.m. in Dana Lecture Hall, Collier Hall of Science. The program, Office of Student Life and the Panhellenic Council at Moravian College., is being held in conjunction with Moravian’s Eating Disorders Awareness Week. The public is invited and admission is free-of-charge.
The program will give an overview of the symptoms of eating disorders before turning attention to general healthy eating habits. Doane owns Advantage Nutrition in Allentown, Pa. where she councils individuals in nutrition as well as presenting lectures and seminars to people of all ages about topics such as wellness, weight management, and sports nutrition. In the past, she has served as a sports nutrition consultant and athletic trainer for several colleges in the Lehigh Valley. Doane speaks throughout the country at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) member schools.
