Bethlehem, Pa., October 26, 2010—Moravian College’s popular BIG Band will perform on Friday November 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Foy Concert Hall. Under the direction of Neil Wetzel, assistant professor of music and director of jazz Studies at Moravian College, the BIG Band will perform jazzy versions of classic tunes including Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue & It Ain’t Necessarily So; Verdi’s Anvil Chorus; Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade; The Song of the Volga Boatmen; & Blues for Bela- an arrangement of several Bela Bartok songs.
General admissions is $10 or $5 for senior citizens and students with I.D. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.lvartsboxoffice.org.
