Moravian to host community dialogue on race relations

Day of Caring and Annual Basketball Camp to be held in Honor of MLK

Bethlehem, Pa., January 5, 2005– Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary will host the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast, sponsored by the Bethlehem branch of the NAACP, the Bethlehem Area Council of Churches, and the YWCA. The breakfast is at 8:00-10:00 a.m. Monday, January 17, in the HUB.

This year’s program is a community dialogue on race relations. Tickets are $6. To attend, call Gloria Guth at Ext. 7847 or e-mail geg@moravian.edu.

The Moravian College men’s and women’s basketball teams and coaches with hold their annual MLK one-day mini-camp. This year, students from Northeast Middle School, Bethlehem, Pa.. Student Athletes from Moravian College’s Football House are coordinating the lunch and afternoon activities.

Over one-hundred Moravian College students and staff are expected to participate in the College’s MLK Day of Caring activities by volunteering for a number of community service activities at area agencies.
